He is rightfully hailed as the architect of the Maratha nation. His unwavering resistance against the Mughal rulers culminated in a valiant struggle that endured until his final breath. Succumbing to illness, Shivaji passed away on April 15, 1680, leaving a legacy that continues to inspire generations.
