A young unraced filly named Catwalk who is being prepared for the Albany at Royal Ascot. With the help of two friends, Will sets out to get the two-year-old to Ascot in one piece. If only things were that simple! He soon finds himself embroiled in the unsolved twenty-year-old murder of his grandfather. Meanwhile, Catwalk's flamboyant owner looks set to remove the filly from the yard... CHEAT is the SEVENTH horseracing thriller from Richard Laws. PRAISE FOR RACING THRILLERS BY RICHARD LAWS - Great story with many twists & turns. Well written, pacey with a strong cast of characters. - The sort of book John Francombe & Dick Francis wished they had succeeded in writing. Such a very, very clever plot and engaging characters that one can identify with... - A good fast-paced story, the villains were totally impossible to guess from earlier in the book. I read a lot of crime thrillers including racing ones by the likes of Dick and Felix Francis, John Francome etc. This was as good as any of those. - An affirmed longstanding Dick Francis reader I am converting to Laws with each and every publication. - Totally captivating stories which you can't put down until you get to the sting in the tail.
