Caring for the World

Gathered in this zine is the writing and artwork created by participants of DSTL Arts's Conchas y Café creative writing classes for adults. Through poetry and short fiction, drawings, and photo composition, these workshops empower participants as the artists they are, helping them develop new skills in storytelling.
The theme for Conchas y Café Zine; Volume 7, Issue 2: Caring for the World is "Caregiving." Through poetry and writings that explore our mind, body, and soul, we examine the true meaning of "care" and "caregiving" within the context of Self-Care and caring for others. Anthologized here is a collection of works that show humanity's capacity for thinking beyond "the self" and embracing "the other."
