  • - Poesia
    av Ricardo Javier L Deville
    203,-

Mary Ann Russell of Speedwell, Tennessee was an unparalleled poet in her time. She sadly passed away from cancer, but her pure and phenomenal poetry will live on forever. Seldom has a writer captured the truth and essence of life as beautifully and perfectly has Mary Ann has done in her amazing poems. Mary Ann Russell was a very precious and dear friend of mine, and because her writings have always touched me so deeply and profoundly, her loving husband, Franklin "Toppy" Russell has given me permission to share her 'masterpieces' with the world. The power, beauty and truth of Mary Ann's poetry and prose stand above anything I have ever read in this genre. It is for this reason that I feel honored and obligated to have her work published, whereby it may go out into the world and serve the purpose for which it was excellently written. Upon reading Mary Ann's poem about the American Civil War entitled: THE WAR, published author and editor, Eugenia Christensen, who had read almost every book ever written about the Civil War, cried as she told me that she had never before read anything which so perfectly described "THE WAR" as Mary Ann had been able to do in only four short stanzas.**********"Her inspired writing is for that special few who God saw fit to create. They and they alone will understand what she was trying to convey. "Is there a price on the laughter of a child or the song of a robin? Is there a price on a September sunset or an October morning? Is there a price on the first fall breeze or the moonlight on a snow-covered woodland? I think not!" --Franklin G. "Toppy" Russell Because Mary Ann would write poems about many of my paintings when I lived in Tennessee, I have chosen to include some images of my paintings in this booklet. It would be a great honor and pleasure for me to receive comments from you about Mary Ann's poetry, of which I can pass on to her husband. Thank you! Ed BreedingEmail: edbreeding44@gmail.com

    av Arielle Knight
    159,-

"A Mosaic of Devotion: Verses for Every Tomorrow" is an intimate collection of poetry that weaves together the timeless themes of love and devotion with the delicate intricacy of human emotion. Each poem is a tile in the grand design of passion, capturing moments of longing, the intensity of togetherness, and the solitude of contemplation. The verses within these pages explore the silent whispers between lovers, the loud declarations of the heart, and the quiet truths that lie in the spaces in between. They speak to the soul, resonate with the rhythm of an unguarded heartbeat, and dance to the silent music of connection that binds us all. This book is a reflection of love in its purest form-raw, unedited, and unapologetically profound. The poems are timeless yet fleeting, like the brush of lips against skin or the feeling of a hand slipping away.Penned by Arielle Knight "A Mosaic of Devotion" is a seductive whisper in the library of love's literature, promising to be a treasure for the heart that seeks both the fire of desire and the peace of true connection. It is not just a book, but a journey-one that promises to continue with every sunrise, in every shared glance, through every tomorrow.

Everyone has days when we feel alone and that the struggles we face are unique only to us. But everyone has their own path to walk. They are all a little different. Some have bigger hurdles to climb, some will have a bigger leap of faith required, and some might have a narrow path to walk on.But they all have their own troubles that come with them. Every one of us needs our Father's help from above. No one is excluded from that fact.So with every step, we should remember that God's will for our life is to be ever moving forward and up. He is always waiting just a step in front of us, drawing us closer to Him. The guiding light as we navigate through the world's rocks and uneven ground that attempt to make us stumble or lose our way. So for the days we all feel lost, stressed, or alone, I hope this book encourages and inspires you to draw ever closer to our Father. For He is for us and never against us.Was never quite sure what to call these, as I took some inspiration from the Psalms. But some might call them poems, but they aren't like normal poems so some might call them prose, songs or even just my thoughts written down. So whatever you would like to call them, I hope you enjoy and feel God's love through every written word.

  • av Donna Campbell Smith
    142,-

A collection of poems, a memoir of sorts: She is an aged woman. Her nest has emptied only to be refilled, over and over with her children's children, tenants, and misfits. Folk who come and go. She looks at life and wonders where, or if, she fits in. Finally, she opens the door to his hollering just to shut him up before he wakes the whole neighborhood. He stumbles to his room and passes out in a heap across the bed, leaving Missus Henry alone with a cup of coffee for company. She stares out her kitchen window as the sun rises over dirty rooftops, peeking between the power lines. Sometimes she just buries her head in her hands and cries, and other times she chuckles over life's little tricks. And when all else fails, she prays. Then one day she picked up a pen and started to write.

Fidel Flores

There's a creature trapped inside my chest cavity. My ribs are his prison bars. Long ago, he reached between my lungs to tear a shard of bone from the fleshy walls of his cell. Using that bone, the creature scrawls words into my meat. Dark Side of my Ribs is a collection of lyrics and poetry written by A. M. Langston throughout 2019 and 2023. As usual, this collection is a departure from the styles and themes of Langston's previous works. Each page is densely packed in a deep exploration of a broader range of topics than his previous collections, from small bits of every day life to abstract examinations of universal conditions.
