Hace muchos siglos, cuando Europa estaba cubierta de frondosos bosques, se rendía culto a ciertos árboles ya que se creía que los espíritus habitaban en ellos.Yo sigo creyendo que los árboles nos dan mucho más que sombra y madera. Son símbolo de la vida, nos regalan el oxígeno, elemental para nuestra subsistencia.Pero también son más que eso.En las calurosas tardes de verano, cuando era pequeña, solía subirme a uno de los árboles de la calle larga de San Ignacio para cantar, recitar y contarle mis secretos.Siempre elegía el mismo. Entre cientos de árboles, el mismo.Como si un hilo invisible nos uniera reconfortándonos.Por eso hoy, que ya no lo tengo, me acerco en sueños hasta él, me subo a sus ramas torcidas, me siento rodeada de elfos, gnomos y hadas, me acurruco entre sus hojas y le narro mis cuentos.Cuentos entre las hojas, para leer en las tardes de verano, para reír, llorar o soñar, acunada por la suave brisa que lo hace hablar, envuelta en su fresca sombra, acariciada por sus ramas ásperas pero tiernas, flotando entre el cielo y la tierra.

Anna Reivilä (geb. 1988, Helsinki) ist eine Land-Art-Künstlerin und Fotografin, die in Porvoo, Finnland, lebt und arbeitet. In ihrem Buch Nomad untersucht sie die Beziehung zwischen Mensch und Natur unter Bezugnahme auf die japanische Bondage-Tradition. Sie erforscht die Symbolik der Fesselung im Hinblick auf die Verbindungen zwischen den Menschen und dem Göttlichen. Das japanische Wort für Fesselung, Kinbaku-bi, bedeutet wörtlich übersetzt die Schönheit der engen Bindung. Es ist ein feines Gleichgewicht zwischen dem Zusammenhalten und dem drohenden Zerbrechen. In den Fotografien von Reivilä umreißen die Seile die Formen der Objekte, während sie die Grenzen des Menschseins ausloten.
