Blink If You Love Me

Moscovich's Blink If You Love Me, set in modern-day Portugal, is a novel about the intimacies and cultural, socio-linguistic idiosyncrasies inherent in marrying into and cohabiting with a close-knit family as an outsider. Struggling with his adopted tongue, the narrator of the novel is cursed with a tendency to imbue everyday speech with innuendo at large family gatherings.
