Away From Past

(...) My mother would always tell me when I got hurt, which was a lot. I was some what of a dare devil child and got hurt a lot in the process. My mother was a doctor, one of the few female doctors in our town, before she died 5 years ago. She went out one night to get something for dinner and never came back. Of course Joe was mad about the no dinner situation while i was drowning in the fact that my mother was gone forever. The only person who ever really cared about me was gone and my sorry excuse for a step father only cared about having her not making dinner.
My father died while serving over sea's 11 years ago and it took my mother 6 years to get over that. She met Joe and they went out for about a year then got married which was 7 years ago. He never really loved her but she found that out after they got married. She thought about divorce but never did it because she didn't want me to grow up without a father, even though I told her it would be better that way she never did it.
