Archaeological Artefacts as Material Culture

Gives an introduction to the study of artefacts, setting them in a social context. Drawing on a range of different cultures, this work covers topics ranging from recovery strategies and recording procedures to interpretation through typology, ethnography and experiment, and various types of material including wood, fibers, bones, hides and stone.
