Om Apple News
In 2012, a little app with big ambitions called Next (it was later changed to Texture) disrupted the magazine industry by creating the Netflix of magazines. For one low price, you could read hundreds of magazines (and their back issues too). They weren't small indie magazines-they were the big ones: People, Time, Wired, and more.
Apple took notice, and, in 2018, they acquired the company. The writing was on the wall: Apple wanted to get into print services.
In 2019, it was announced that Texture would close because Apple would release a new service called News+. News+ does everything that Texture did, but also combines newspapers .
What really makes Apple News stand out is it's curated for you and your tastes. If you have other family members on your plan, it will be curated for them as well-it's based on the user's tastes, so if you have a family member into entertainment news and you are into game news, you won't see their interests-only yours.
If you are thinking about using the subscription, or if you have it but want to know more, then read on!
