Om Anxiety
I've been in your position, so I understand how you feel. I had always suffered from anxious attachment; I was always on edge, wondering if my partner really loved me or if they were waiting for the right opportunity to break up. I was assessing every conversation we had and looking for cues that might indicate whether my partner would stay or go. As time passed, it ate up all of my thoughts and energies, leaving me psychologically spent and fatigued.
Accepting the odd, uncertain, flawed, and perplexing aspects of life can help us let go of the past, let go of poorly executed goals, let go of our idealized version of how life ought to be, and begin to appreciate our existence. We need to recognize that our self-control is our primary control.
Being emotional creatures, emotions have the power to either lift us and lead us to success or drag us down to the depths of despair and failure. As social media platforms have grown in popularity and become an essential part of our daily lives, comparison has been ingrained in us. We compete to seem the best, and we have a desire for achievement. We are now more prone to emotional collapses as a result.
