An Overview of Biomedical Implants

This book describes cases of innovations in biomaterials used for in major biomedical implants for human body contributing to advancement of tissue regeneration and/or regenerative medicine for the enhancement of human life. These biomaterials are either in the laboratory stage ready for marketing or at the industrial stage where they are commercially implemented, or in the development stage. The cases cover all scales from nanoscale to molecules, processes, industrial sites, regions, the world and most industries. For each case the contribution of that specific biomaterial to development of the specific implant is clearly described and explained from its origin to its next generation.
