An Illustrated Pattern Maker's Guide

This book details the making of master patterns and pre-production models for use in the production of 43rd scale model vehicles. It concentrates on the 43rd scale 1937 White's Streamline Tanker model produced by the author for DMP Sudios in Canada and cast/painted by Brooklin Models of Bath, England. Also shown are several other models produced by the author for the likes of CORGI, MATCHBOX and BROOKLIN MODELS. Nine chapters take the reader through the process stage by stage and include details of tools, equipment, materials and finished production models. 101 colour photographs illustrate all stages from working drawings to finished master/prototype.
