An Englishman, a Scotsman, an Irishman: Not a joke book, but stories to make you smile

Om An Englishman, a Scotsman, an Irishman: Not a joke book, but stories to make you smile

I think, almost everybody will find something in this book to offend them. If you're upset by an Irish joke or disgusted by cursing, or believe some subjects are sacrosanct, then it's best to put the book down; now. If political correctness is important to you then it's also probably best not to proceed. If you're comfortable you're not racist, sexist or any other 'ist' and are prepared to accept it as it comes, even if you might consider a subject, or some of the language, a little dubious, you might find something to make you smile. This is a book of adaptions and interpretations of a few old jokes. Lest, because of modern mores and sensibilities, some oral traditions slip away or disappear through lack of telling. There are also four original short stories which may amuse. Disclaimer: Analysis tells me I share 39% of my DNA with those of Irish descent and 4% with European Jewish people. I was born in Hackney in East London, my paternal grandfather was Scottish and my maternal, Irish. Also, my forebears must have come out of Africa the same as everyone else.
