A Summer in the British Isles

The British Isles have a shared history with India. From being one of the most prominent imperial powers in the world, the United Kingdom has diminished its regal glory after the second world war. Indians look at Great Britain with mixed feelings of anguish and admiration inherited from long colonial rule. This book depicts the experience of an Indian traveler arriving in the United Kingdom and the Irish Republic. Along with the vivid travel experiences, the author writes about his feeling about racial abuse directed at him and his elderly parents during the overseas travel that changed their lives forever.
