The reason for writing this book can be found in 2 Corinthians 11:28 - "...my deep concern for the churches." I started to see more and more religion and culture creeping into the churches of today. And, it has not slowed down. I have seen the authority of Christ and his word taking a "back seat" to worldly standards, humanistic philosophy, and materialistic desires. It is clearly evident, even among many well-known leaders in the "Christian" community. The problem is that the majority of the people in the churches are hanging on every word and being influenced by their false teaching. I pray that God will use this undertaking to challenge and help people to search the Scriptures and draw close to the Christ of the Bible. I was not raised in a Christian home, but rather in a religious home. There was an atmosphere of "morality," but it was subjective. Then, in 1989, Jesus Christ became real and life started to change. There was a difference between religion and Christianity. It was not about how "good" man could be, but how much God has already done for man, in and through the finished work of Jesus Christ. There was no more of man trying to reach God through good works, (religion). It was all about God reaching down to man with his free gift (Christianity). What a powerful, gracious, and merciful, love that can never be conquered, a love that stoops. It is not about me, but about the One who saved me. His love for me compels me to share all He has given with all who desire to know Him.
Contrary to their anticipation of a boring summer in their small town, three boys find themselves involved in a murder mystery after their town's annual summer celebration called "Wellsburg Days." They find a body by a creek outside their town and help the small town Marshal as much as they can, discover who the victim is and who committed the murder. A lot of focus is also on the Marshal who puzzles through the possibilities until finally solving the case. The story is set in small town Iowa in the summer of 1959. Author Bio After forty years in ministry in the Christian Reformed Church, Timothy Toeset retired and moved with his wife to South Holland, Il to be closer to family. He is father to five children and seven grandchildren. Tim is the son of a pastor and has moved frequently during his life. He was born in Idaho, grew up in two small towns in Iowa and went to high school in Illinois. Tim and his wife enjoy listening to audio books while traveling and that's what provided the inspiration for this story. Listening to someone's crime novel while traveling through his onetime home town in Iowa, helped to create the story in Tim's imagination. Tim received a B.A. from Trinity Christian College in Palos Heights, IL with a major in psychology. He received a Masters of Divinity degree from Calvin Theological Seminary in Grand Rapids, MI. Tim pastored congregations in New York, Iowa, Arizona, California, Washington and Montana.
This is a book about my faith journey from a young adult to my senior years. Being a survivor of COVID, I knew the LORD still had a purpose for my life. I listened to the voice in my heart and knew I needed to write this book as an encouragement to others. Events happen in life that can cause us to see ourselves as victims or survivors. I choose using my Faith "hat" to be a survivor; an overcomer in all things. You will read about my 60 day hospital stay and 4 month home health journey and how my identified "hats" brought me through it all. My COVID survival is a miracle from GOD. Identify your "hats" so the road in front of you can be paved; and a way made for you by HIM. May you always be an overcomer. After 40 years of teaching, I started living my retired life in the country home that my husband and I designed together. My faith journey spans several decades and I have worn many "hats" during my life. I have tied them securely and held them in place with my Faith "hat" to face many a trial and tribulation both emotionally and physically. I have experienced divorce 3 times, miscarriage twice, sexual assault, as well as having 2 beautiful children, enjoying relationships with siblings, experiencing grandchildren, and finally a soulmate and loving husband. I have learned to listen to the small voice in my heart and follow the LORD's leading. I am a modern day walking talking miracle.

"Triumphs & Tragedies in Serving God" is unique in multiple ways. First, it is comprised of only true stories with no embellishments. It is written by an OB/GYN Surgeon. Everybody can experience His Blessings in the triumphs and His Grace through the tragedies of Christian Service - if we are only willing. Conversation #1: Women, designed by God to create life in the womb for nine months and then to bring forth that life. To feed that life with the milk that fills our breast during post pregnancy. But what happens when that season is over, and the birthing womb begins to shut down? Answer: Hot flashes, night sweats, personal summers, and mood swings. It's the season that almost every woman will go through. Yet, it's the elephant in the room no one wants to talk about. The elephant's name is menopause. The author shares her personal story of night sweats, hot flashes, and mood swings. She shares a humorous story of having one of her first hot flashes while speaking with her male supervisor. She discusses what she defines as the "craziness" of mood swings. What about "man"opause? Yes, she goes there. By the way, did you know that menopause is just one day? (Huh?) Conversation #2: Around The Table The author addresses her grandchildren being biracial and the negative connotation behind the "one drop rule". The author shares true stories of other women's struggles and journeys. She challenges readers to remember before you judge, criticize, or ridicule someone to remind yourselves that: "We don't know their story." The author shares how she took her first swimming lessons in August 2017, and the importance of "letting go of the wall" both literally and symbolically in life. Her Christmas story, in which her father shared how much he loved her without saying a word, will warm your heart. Come join the author in an around the table discussion as she addresses a few of her questions, comments, and concerns. This book is an informative read for both women and men. Can a secular post-modern worldview live in peace with the biblical Christian worldview in the United States in the twenty-first century? This is the real pressing question of our time. If either side is bent on solidifying a culture that eliminates the ability of the other side to freely follow their worldview, civil war is inevitable. Abortion and marriage are only the two most visible issues of disagreement. The broader context revolves around one's views on individual freedom and liberty versus a powerful centralized government intent on providing the greatest good for the greatest number, as defined by the leaders of that centralized government. In his 2015 book, Impossible People, the beloved Christian thinker, writer and apologist Os Guinness eloquently states the following: Modern liberal secular societies have themselves risen from and still depend on philosophical and ethical traditions that come from outside themselves. By this he means that foundational principles are historically religious in nature, and a functioning secular state needs to recognize them. These principles include human dignity, the sanctity of life, freedom, justice and equality. The Biblical Christian Worldview - 2016 traces these themes through a tumultuous Presidential election year and asks this question: What roles do Christians need to play in our pluralistic society while maintaining allegiance to this most important message in the gospel: You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. A second is equally important. Love your neighbor as yourself. The entire law and all the demands of the prophets are based upon these two commandments. Our lives are forever unfolding into something greater for God's purpose or lesser for the world's folly. As humans we have a divinity, a sacredness, or holiness that we so easily ignore in our everydayness. We were meant to be with God. We were meant to do life with God. It is time to recapture our true origin, our true identity. We are children of God. We are messengers of our Father's good will because of Jesus our Redeemer. We are examples of God's power because the Holy Spirit resides with us. The title of this book "Warriors Stand your ground and let God fight". Calls us to take our place in the world as God's descendants and show God's love to others. We are at time and place like no other. We need to make a stand as it says in 1 Corinthians 15. 58 The Message Bible "stand your ground. And don't hold back. Throw yourselves into the work of the Master, confident that nothing you do for him is a waste of time or effort. We have been promised that if we stand our ground, God will be with us and fight for us. Philippians 4.9 TPT Jesus states" put into practice the example of all that you have heard from me or seen in my life and the God of Peace will be with you in all things Exodus 14.14 NLT; "The Lord Himself will fight for you just stay calm." Our calling is extraordinary and for those around us it will be Unforgettable. Because it creates a light that shines on Jesus, that will bring them into their eternal home. Remember in the midst of all that is around you, God wants to use you for his glory. Warriors tighten your bootstraps, raise your hands towards Heaven and speak the name of Jesus and let the harvest of God's goodness begin. Luke 14:23 Passion Bible says" so the master told him, all right go out again and this time bring them all back with you. Persuade the Beggars on the streets, the outcast even the homeless. Insist that they come in and enjoy the feast so that my house will be full. I am a lifetime New Yorker who has always enjoyed city life, and the scenic Country Life of upstate New York. I have lived in Rockland County and Brooklyn. Both have brought me joy in many different aspects and have challenged my belief system. Challenged I was even in fourth grade as I began to write about how people treated each other, and social issues. I did win some accolades, but in the course of my life, I did not take my writing seriously until the pandemic of 2020. The subject matter I most enjoy is relationships; relationship with God and relationships with others. For me this is truly what life is relationships. It is worth the time and effort to try to understand, study and write about.

Struggles and trials are real, they show up everywhere, whether we want them or not. They don't care about your ethnicity, your financial status, educational status, not even whether you're "privileged" or not. Hard times comes to the have and the have nots alike, everyone gets tested at some point. For some the solution is drugs, alcohol, sex or money. It doesn't take much to see that our entire world is being tested right now. But throughout this book are beautiful stories of faith in the word of God that when exercised brings hope, peace, love and victory. Faith the answer for a world in chaos. Defy the odds, refuse defeat, become something beautiful, my choice!" Now, faith is the substance of things hoped for the evidence of things not seen-Hebrews 11:1 Annmarie J. Depression: it's a condition that affects more people than we think, in mild to debilitating ways. For author Teniola Onabanjo, depression crept into her life through a significant childhood experience. In her new book, Dethroning Depression, Teniola shares how depression became her "companion". To hide her pain, Teniola turned to the temporary pleasure of charting her own path, finding that she found fleeting happiness from what this option offered. It wasn't until she came to the feet of Jesus and asked Him back into her heart that she felt God remove the hold depression had on her for seven years: depression that had given her suicidal thoughts, multiple breakdowns, and being committed to a psychiatric hospital. The prompting of God while on a prayer walk led Teniola to realize her experiences could help others struggling to overcome depression, while finding solace in the arms of Jesus. Dethroning Depression is broken down into seven chapters, relating the importance of nutrition, self-care, fitness, and realizing the need for one to have a thriving relationship with God. Teniola wants readers to know that Satan can use depression to convince believers they don't have divine purposes from God and not worth anything to anyone. Believe her; she knows this truth personally that Satan can cause this harm. But like she removed the strongholds of depression by allowing God to take it from her, others can experience the same joy and freedom when they allow God to enter their hearts. Don't allow depression the power to take away your self-worth; believe instead in God's purpose for you! Teniola Onabanjo, understands what living with depression feels like and has helped in creating practical measures by which people can overcome depression one step at a time. Dethroning Depression will make you understand the main source of depression and how to overcome it. Teniola studied History & Strategy at the University of Lagos. Her hobbies include cooking, shopping, listening to motivational messages, taking pictures and sight-seeing. By following her effective tips outlined in this book, you are set to unlock new heights in destiny fulfillment.

The USA, as well as many other nations, has a renewed interest in returning to the foundation of a society surviving under the guidance of this country's founding fathers, through humanities Creator. A society's belief in God can benefit from the profound teachings to a similar society in strife in the 14th and 15th centuries that were of a Theo-Sociological etiology. Profound solutions from God the Father's spoken word through a formally uneducated Theo-Political Dominican lay person700 years later, produces a remarkable Dialogue. Saint Catherine of Siena is recognized as one of the most remarkable women of the Middle Ages. The Dialogue of the spoken word of God the Father through Catherine, was transcribed by Raymond of Capua, while she was engaged in mystical trances between 1377 and 1379. She died in 1380. There are four major Treatises with ninety subsections. All are related to Divine Mercy and God's love for humanity, through Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit, embodied in the Holy Trinity for the salvation of souls. The author breaks down a difficult 86,000 word read into 26,000 words of salient theological concepts into quotes of sentences or paragraph formats. This easily readable format has not been utilised in any language to my knowledge. This Dialogue in God's own words was on target for a population in political turmoil in Europe. As well as a Holy Church in need of reform. Thus, a 14th century Dialogue relevant in the 21st century. 109191 included with MSFT WORD sent bferrara@salemauthorservices.com 6/6/21

This is a story about how Jesus Christ changed the course of a man''s life. Kenneth Kehl was born on the second of September 1938 in a small house next to the railroad tracks in an open town in Missouri. On any Friday night, there would be five thousand young men in town looking for a good time. Gangsters from Chicago, Kansas City, New Orleans, and St. Louis filled the gambling halls, taverns, and brothels. The police were nowhere to be found. He had an upbringing no child should ever have to experience. Early in his childhood, his father went away to fight in World War II. His mother had to bring him and his siblings to work with her at the bar because she could not afford a babysitter. He grew up fast-too fast-becoming an alcoholic at the age of thirteen. He saw things no child should ever see and did things as a child no adult should ever do. While the beginning of his life was hard, God never left his side. He helped Kehl find his way forward and gave him an incredible future full of love and family. A Life Worth Living is Kehl''s biography. In these pages, he shares his dark past, his wonderful present, and his limitless future. Kenneth R. Kehl is now retired after a career as a successful insurance broker. He has been happily married for sixty-two years and has three children, twelve grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. He continues to encourage prisoners in the So. California area with his message of hope.
During the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, Presbyterian missionaries devoted their lives to providing education, medical aid, and refuge to the people of Persia. Through epidemics, famine, the Persian Constitutional Revolution, and the Great War (WWI) missionaries often endangered their own lives while providing relief aid. They struggled with prejudice and obstruction by Muslim and Gregorian Christian clerics and by government authorities. After years of patient, self-sacrificing pursuit of missionary service, did they win the admiration and respect of the Persians?Western Persia Mission: A Biography of Annie Rhea Wilson (1861-1952) by Kathryn McLane describes real events in the lives of Presbyterian missionaries in Persia from 1880s to 1940s. In 1886, Annie Rhea Wilson travels to Tabriz with her husband, Reverend Samuel Graham Wilson, where they spend thirty years of their lives as missionaries, educating young Persians at the mission Boys'' School. Told through fictional dialogue, Annie and Sam initially struggle with Persian languages and customs, but soon, they emerge as leaders of the mission and build a new compound, including a church, missionary residences, a medical dispensary, and a school. As the great-granddaughter of Annie Rhea Wilson, Kathryn McLane was intrigued by family history and desired to understand and preserve her ancestor''s story. She began researching archives of the Presbyterian Church, as well as autobiographies, reports, journal articles, and books written by the Presbyterian missionaries of Persia. The author strove to provide an accurate, factual depiction of missionary life in Persia, the struggles and successes of the missionaries, and the civil strife of Iran during this era so that readers may fully understand the depth of their service.
Paul''s adventurous journeys did not end with his 3 missionary journeys and voyage to Rome! After being released from house arrest, Paul went on a "4th journey" and left us "hints" in his writings as to those he would see, this would be his "Farewell Tour." He probably first sailed to Spain, then sailed to the island of Crete and left Titus there (Tit. 1:5). Then sailed to Miletus and walked to Colossae to see the brethren there and to spend time with Philemon, thanking him for his forgiveness of his runaway slave. Then he walked to Ephesus and eventually sailed to Philippi to come full circle in checking on everyone he wrote to while under house arrest. This book completes Paul''s Fairwell Tour before he met his fate back in Rome with Nero. The accomplishments of the apostle Paul inspired me to write this book. His achievements were quite remarkable, and more people need to know of his tremendous contribution to the New Testament. This work on Paul''s Fourth Missionary Journey is an excellent integration of the letters of Paul''s and Luke''s presentation of the three journeys and trip to Rome, leading to a lovely, plausible reconstruction of a Fourth missionary journey of Paul. It is well-written and reader-friendly. I plan on using Tom''s manuscript in my Acts classes. I''ve never seen anything like it!Dr. C.
