The 1960's was a time of change in the United States of America towards equality for all of its citizens. Mississippi as well as other southern states experienced the "pains of changing." Some of the changes affected positive changes for women rights in the work place, improved opportunities for Blacks, and voter rights issues. I do not have the space to name all of them. However, the various changes were instrumental in shaping the United States into the country it is today. My family was personally affected by the changes that were personified in our daughter, Debra. She was the catalyst through whom Leake County school system began to experience change for a better equality towards its Black citizens. Minnie J. Yancy is a native of Carthage, Mississippi and currently lives in Atlanta, Georgia with her husband, James. She was a licensed Evangelist with the Pentecostal Assembly of the World (PAW) and has a passion for teaching women sound biblical principles that will change their lives. Minnie teaches home Bible Study, Sunday School, and is active in her church women's prison ministry (United Pentecostal Church). She serves as a panelist and speaker at numerous retreats and seminars.

Is God really some big old guy in the sky with a long, white beard, throwing thunderbolts at people He doesn't like? Think God! demonstrates the folly of that idea as a result of over forty years of study in science and the Bible. Some of its concepts may at first seem unusual, or even controversial. The ideas in Think God! are not presented as a final explanation as to the nature of God and the universe, but as a plausible, science-based scenario that gives the reader a sound reason to believe that God does exist, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him (Hebrews 11:6). "I have always loved Glen's insights into the "deeper mysteries" of the faith. His recognition that science and faith are not at all incompatible, but actually in perfect harmony, will be a boost to your faith. In this age of skepticism, Glen's book will equip you to enter the dialogue with confidence!" - Jeffrey Cranford, PGA golf pro and President of Links Players International, a Christian golf media ministry and publisher of the Links Letter. Glen H. Kippel is a former broadcast engineer, announcer and radio station manager who has had a life-long passion for science and technology. After becoming a Christian at age 26, he has been devoted to studying the intersection between science and the Bible. His first book, You Can Understand the Bible! was awarded first-place in the 2010 Christian Choice Book Awards, Bible Study Division. Think God! continues in the same vein as his previous offering, Think Heaven!, a study in how theoretical physics demonstrates the possibility of a supernatural universe.
One of the testimonies of King David of the Bible is that he knew his God. Could that be said of people today? Do people really know who God is and what He is like? Not what someone's perception or imagination comes up with, but what is recorded of Him and what He Himself has declared. Let's look together at just a glimpse of what our awesome God is like. Accept no counterfeits! Know the Truth! It could have Eternal Consequences.

IT IS A BOOK OF INSPIRATION AS WELL AS MYSTERY AND INTRIGUE. AND IT IS MEANT TO BE AN ENJOYABLE AND INTERESTING CHRISTIAN NOVEL." RONALD ECHOLS

If God really loves me, why did He let me die and leave me with all these medical bills? -Ron Whited On March 5, 2012 Ron Whited's life ended abruptly and dramatically. It began again with an epiphany: everything and everyone in his life had been navigational buoys that directed him toward the safe harbor of God's love. Looking back he would unearth extraordinary treasures that had been buried in the midst of financial devastation, false accusations, false prophets, betrayal, misunderstandings, fatherlessness, cancer and even dying. Facing real life circumstances and death produced a vivid revelation of God's love. This is his remarkable story about discovering that nothing can separate us from God's love: NOTHING! "Ron's deeply personal memoir holds nothing back, reliving his many tribulations and close encounters with the eternal. His extraordinary struggle and life-changing triumph will leave you awed and inspired." -Brian Pitzer
When I was a child my desire was to become a beautician when I grew up. I did not stop thinking about it. One day, I went to Cosmetology school in Haiti to fulfill my dream. Unfortunately, I did not finish the course. I didn't graduate, but I had the privilege to do the makeup for ladies and those of who were about to get married. I enjoyed it very much. When I came to the United States, I still had the desire to accomplish my dream... I went back to school.... I remember I was sitting in the room and I heard in my spirit "The Beauty of the Heart," in French meaning "La Beauté du Coeur". At that time, I used to write a lot of topics just to preach, whenever I had the opportunity to do so. I thought it was my next message to preach what I received from God. I did not understand the message God gave me, but the Holy Spirit said to me, "I don't want you to do the outside beauty, but I want you to do the inside beauty".
The Consistent Overcomer speaks directly and convincingly to our hearts and minds and challenges us to say "yes" to a victorious life in Christ. In this inspiring sequel to The Renewed Mind, Christian counselor and psychotherapist Dr. Frans M. J. Brandt, shows us exactly how to become a Consistent Overcomer. Step-by-step, and in plain language, the author carefully explains how to embrace a constructive lifestyle, spiritual discernment and a triumphant life. "This excellent book contains several encouraging references to some well-known overcomers, but I also find Dr. Brandt's own personal story an exciting and inspiring highlight. The author is a living example of what it takes to overcome obstacles and to carve out a fulfilling and victorious life through the judicious application of faith and reason." - Randy L. Carlson, President, Family Life Radio/Family Life Communications Inc. "Dr. Brandt has again produced an extremely helpful book. It's filled with solid advice and proven Biblical principles. The power of the illustrations and personal life experiences of people who are known overcomers, provide the incentive to make the connection between knowledge and action. Taking the action step is what leads people out of their defeat into victory. A very helpful, sound book." - Jay Kessler, President, Taylor University "The Consistent Overcomer is Dr. Brandt's best work yet. The excerpt from his childhood in the Netherlands is spellbinding and allows the reader into some of the early difficulties in his life. It warms the heart and gives much encouragement. His assertions about the direct link between emotional health and sound nutrition are also consistently seen in my own work. Without a doubt, physical health care must go hand-in-hand with emotional and spiritual health care in order to have lasting happiness and maximum wellness." - Jill Rene MacDougall, Nutritional Consultant, Healing Integrity, Inc. "In The Consistent Overcomer; Dr. Brandt has developed a well-laid-out road map for those seeking to live the victorious Christian life. His step-by-step methodology makes it simple for lay persons to clearly understand the precepts at the first reading, yet, paradoxically, those same clearly defined instructions dictate that his work be read and re-read until the precepts are totally ingrained in memory and in daily living. Herein is found living proof that it is possible, and even essential, to joyfully face life's trials." - Marilyn Taylor, Staff Member, Women Today, Inc. Dr. Frans M. J. Brandt, EdD, LPC, LMFT, has studied in Germany, Great Britain and the United States. He holds three degrees in Human Development Counseling and received his Doctoral degree with honors from George Peabody College of Vanderbilt University. In addition to his work as a professional counselor and psychotherapist, he has lectured in psychology at several colleges and universities. Dr. Brandt is the author of ten books and has been published in China, Great Britain, the Netherlands and the United States.

This book contains 366 daily reflections drawing from all 39 books of the Old Testament. The author holds fast to the belief that the Old Testament continues-when interpreted with care-to be every bit as relevant to believers today as the New Testament. Each daily entry, therefore, assumes and endeavours to reflect the authority, infallibility and inerrancy of the whole canon of Scripture. What's more, these reflections seek to challenge readers with the counter-cultural message of the Scriptures. The Lord GOD declared to the people of Israel, "But this is the one to whom I will look: / he who is humble and contrite in spirit and trembles at My Word" (Is 66: 2b). These are not characteristics that the world finds appealing-and, sadly, much the same can be said of contemporary Christians. In fact, too often the Old Testament is passed over and ignored by those within the Church because they are either embarrassed by it, ignorant concerning its relevance, under the impression that Old means antiquated and immaterial in relation to the New Testament, or they simply don't know how to deal with its sometimes raw narrative, strange laws and practices, candid worship and railing prophets; all the more reason why the Old Testament needs to be more diligently and discerningly explored and explained by preachers, teachers and writers. The Old Testament is the authoritative text drawn from by the inspired New Testament writers-and Jesus Himself-as they call humanity to repentance and salvation in Christ. We neglect it to our shame. It is Written is, therefore, one man's attempt to reflectively point people back to what is timelessly written in the original Scriptures of the Israelites and the Christian Church.
12th century England: A fabulous age of knights and fair maidens, castles and kings, heroes and legends. An age when dragons still roamed the Earth, bringing destruction and death in their path. A time, also, when a young man with a sharp and curious mind, a courageous heart, and a love for God, could step out in faith and meet the challenge of a threatening dragon. In doing so, this young man takes a journey which turns into an adventure of a lifetime that would change his destiny, honor his family, stop the destruction of a town, and provide inspiration for a kingdom. This is the story of young Dustin Carpenter. A tale of faith and courage.
In his first published book, "Oh My God, What's Next" he will share some of his life experiences with his readers and will inspire them to confront life's tragedies and disappointments with a positive and meaningful spiritual force. Edward "Eddie" Marella was born in Boston, Massachusetts on June 6, 1961.He was the son of an Italian-American family who resided in Quincy, Massachusetts. Early in Eddie's life he experienced several life changing events that forever impacted the way he viewed his future approach to life and religion. At the age of 12, while visiting his dying Grandmother, he witnessed his grandmother going through a near death experience. This was an overwhelming sight for him especially after upon awakening, she explained her experience to him. A few years later little did he know that he would directly experience what his grandmother did. At the age of 15 Eddie was in a severe motor scooter accident and was assumed dead by bystanders who saw the accident and were trying to help. This horrific accident and the near death experience that he went through would forever change his life and strengthen his religious beliefs. Later in life he again met with another serious and life threatening accident while swimming in Cape Cod. He was violently swept under an 18 ft. wave and somehow was miraculously saved and washed ashore unharmed. Eddie's lifelong experiences with near death and his battle against early stage cancer have been his inspiration to continually strengthen his belief in Jesus Christ and the Catholic Church. He attends Mass daily and is always ready to help others and to tell his story about how to strive for a healthy and happy life regardless of what life sends.
What constitutes a secure foundation upon which a well-constructed life is built? It is character, which incorporates one's moral, ethical, and spiritual dimension, piloting a person through the treacherous shoals of life. Through the study of Proverbs, we can experience a radical change in our thought patterns, beginning to coincide with God's principles on practical topics such as people skills, stewardship of time and money, fortifying integrity, interpersonal relationships as well as a diversity of situations that confront us on a daily basis. I have selected and discussed pertinent topics, but in reading this book, you will be challenged and motivated to do further study as Proverbs gives the ultimate answers to our immediate circumstances. Missing Stars, Fallen Sparrows takes you to the heart of discovering and loving kids with disabilities. Author and Young Life Capernaum Founder Nick Palermo reveals a powerful and rewarding ministry that's changing youth groups, churches, and leaders across the U.S. and around the world: "I had to write this book because I want you to meet my friends, hear their voices and know their stories! Discover these missing stars and fallen sparrows, precious not only to God, but to me and thousands of others, too." Missing Stars, Fallen Sparrows is so much more than a rationalization for inclusiveness, or a how-to guide for disability ministry. The book's core is probably best captured in the title of one its most hard-hitting - and funniest - chapters, "Be comfortable with being uncomfortable."
"A delightful, endearing story of a devoted grandmother who creates a living history tea party for her two cherished granddaughters. Linda Solly's Grannie's Extra, Extra Special Tea Party will inspire you to make moments count with those you love. But be warned: once you start reading, you won't be able to stop. Grannie is careful to have all food, dishes, clothing, games, crafts and stories found in that time period at her tea party. Grannie even transforms the inside of the family gazebo into a cozy log cabin. Everything doesn't go quite as planned however, and the 21st century doesn't always cooperate. This book is timely and very powerful. Prophetess Pumela has been in the corridor of anointed powers of church and ministerial practice of the gospel and in power for many years. There is nothing more dynamic, excellent, and supernaturally deep as when a daughter of God sent from above pours out her heart and soul in the activity of writing this book. This book is not just a learning experience, but an invitation to a journey experience with a practical prophetess. Entering into the prophetic office and arena is an equal opportunity enterprise for male and female by the work of the Holy Spirit. The author laid down a strong understanding of where a woman, just like a man, belongs in this age of controversy and doctrines that restrict women in this area of power

In each generation are many of those who pretend to judge the upcoming generation with out at times recalling their own, as a mother of 5 children there were times when I wondered what on earth they were going to do with their lives. Now I look at all my grandchildren only to regret ever wondering about the future, this book struggles to say how I lived in those70 years or so ago, and how our youngest generation views their future and I must say they will have a lot to say about the next generation. At least I hope so after all this is life in its natural form. In my Book, "Repentant Remnant's Tenets", I try to make spiritual applications to real life stories that I experienced as a Physician Assistant in State Prison. One such story was as follows: ... One particular day, a certain inmate, with a huge stature, came into the Dispensary upset about something, and I assumed he thought I was about to give him an injection. He stood by the door of my office, glaring at me with a look of malice. I, somewhat fragile, did not want to tangle with this giant, even with Health Insurance! So, like a rehearsed movement in a cowboy shootout drama, I pushed the "Goonie Button" under my desk. The Goonie Button is to alert many other Security Guards to an emergency need. At least one-half dozen guards responded quickly and upon seeing this giant inmate became timid; even with the "paper tiger" guards, the involved inmate calmed down. I believe the inmate felt sorry for such uncharacteristically wimpy guards! A spiritual application, such as I Thessalonians 1:6-7, is that we may receive the Word in much affliction. So, as I was a "Spiritual Prisoner without Christ" among many questionable spiritual allegiances, my afflictions led me to Christ, prayerfully, as it will you! "GOD BLESS" Sincerely, W. M. P.
The spiritual growth and development of Christians has often been compared to a journey. Rather than high-lighting the trials, pitfalls, or setbacks of our Christian experience, REJOICE IN THE JOURNEY emphasizes the joy of knowing God as these experiences unfold. The topics explored in this book cover a range of developmental aspects associated with growth in Christ. Some of the topics discussed include salvation, Bible study, being led by the Holy Spirit, trusting God, abiding in Christ, obedience, and spiritual warfare. Each page presents readers with spiritual concepts to help them mature in their relationship with Christ as they walk out their own journey with Him. The goal is to learn to confront challenges to faith with confidence and to "count it all joy" when facing life's inevitable temptations and trials. Patricia McKay and Sharron McKee, both retired educators, collaborated in the writing of this book because of their shared hearts' desire to instruct and encourage Christians to continue in spiritual development.
