Meet Me on the Front Porch is a collection of life lessons, written over a period of twelve years. These heartfelt messages center around Bible stories and personal anecdotes, encouraging today's woman in her walk with the Lord. And this is the heart of Alida Johnson, to strengthen the faith of the women around her and support them with loving encouragement. With childhood memories, stories from friends' lives, and her favorite scriptures, Alida brings God's Word home in a warm and unique way. Growing up in the countryside of southern Alabama, Alida fell in love with her front porch swing. It was on that front porch that she learned many lessons herself as she listened to wisdom from elders and watched the world around her. She became an avid reader on that front porch. As her children left home, Alida found solace and inspiration on her porch swing... reading and writing, listening and responding. You'll become fast friends as you laugh and cry together while she shares from her heart the things God has revealed to her on her front porch. Today, Alida invites you "to fix yourself a pot of coffee and a pan of brownies" and join her in a devotion about life, family, and the miracle of God's love. Enjoy your time as God calls, "Meet Me on the front porch!
Abraham walks into our lives from the pages of a very ancient manuscript. One of the most fascinating stories of a person from the Bible, Abraham was a real person with real hopes and desires. We walk beside Abraham from Ur, a sophisticated, cosmopolitan city, to the "Promised Land". As father of our faith, Abraham's life inspires us to reach for new heights in our own daily walk with God. As Abraham's life unfolds on these pages, we see in a deeper and fuller way, what it means to trust God with all our heart. Abraham was very richly blessed (fantastically) and we find out how his life continues to bless us to this day. God made promises to Abraham, forever promises, and some of those promises, amazingly include us. In a very readable style J. Darline Peipman has brought us a new and broader understanding of Abraham and his life from thousands of years ago. This book is a must read! hrough much painstaking research, J. Darline Peipman has expanded our understanding of the Hebrew text and the life and times of Abraham. From infancy, in church with her parents on Sunday morning and evening and Wednesday evening prayer meetings, J. Darline Peipman sat quietly and listened, trying to follow the preaching of the Word before she could read. She gave her life to the Lord at the age of four. She taught public school for a few years after graduating from university with a degree in English. With her husband, she became a missionary in the South Pacific. Her husband is now a pastor of a local church near where they live on Long Island, New York.
Have you ever wondered how a child who once believed in the Story of Creation; Adam and Eve; Noah and the Ark; Jonah and the Whale; David and Goliath; the Gospel Message; songs about the 'B I B L E yes that's the Book for me' and then they enter High School and go through what I believe to be a spiritual metamorphosis where their whole mindset on Biblical truths suddenly changes into doubts, fears and unbelief. How does this happen so quickly or should I say so easily and so often? There is a problem within the Bible believing Christian community that I believe lies at the core of the issues facing our Church and especially our young people today. The very foundation upon which we have built our Church and our family has shifted. The absolutes upon which we trusted have been thrown under the bus and life as we once knew it has changed. This book is an effort to take you where the Lord took me; into the realm of Divine Inspiration and Divine Preservation of God's Word. This is not meant to be an in-depth presentation, however, I believe it is something that Christians need to hear and something that the Lord has laid on my heart to do. This is a book written from the heart of a lay person. A person just like yourself. If God uses this book to draw you closer to His Word and in the process closer to Him, then it has accomplished that for which it is designed to do. If this book brings you to the saving knowledge of our wonderful Saviour then it has accomplished that which is the desire of our Lord's heart for you.
Ever since he was a baby, David has had a unique ability-to create and manipulate fire. For sixteen years, he and his guardian, Jess, have traveled across England while he struggles to keep his powers a secret. When they arrive in the coastal town of Newquay, David finds a community where he thinks he might finally fit in. But after a series of mishaps and near-disasters, a man from Jess' past arrives and invites David to come find out the truth about his past. David finds himself entering the world where he was born: Aeriodum, where mythical beasts of lore-dragons, Pegasus, and phoenixes-coexist with the humans who ride them. As David discovers a place where he is able to live alongside others without having to hide his power, he finds he must follow in his parents' footsteps and become a phoenix rider. But those who are responsible for his exile are aware of his return, and will stop at nothing to keep him from discovering the truth about his parents' disappearance.
Cleopatra Brown's Called to Teach All Nations skillfully expresses the concept that every Christian functions as a follower of Christ and a teacher to the Christian community. This innovative notion explores a variety of in-depth concepts, aspirations and motives behind Christian-based education. Cleopatra carefully incorporates stimulating commentary ideal for conceptualizing the fundamentals of Christian epistemic. She also states that the Holy Spirit is a catalyst of learning and outlines a variety of stimulating insights readers and teachers can utilize in any curriculum: The Holy Spirit as teacher is not limited by time or space. His role as teacher permeates every aspect of the teaching-learning process. He is the Agent who guides the teacher and learner into all truth. The Holy Spirit is ultimately responsible for all learning, leading people to know and apply truth. He ministers through at least five elements of the teaching-learning process: the teacher, the learner, the Word of God, the interpersonal interaction and the environment. Cleopatra equally calls attention to the Christian need for human educators who are genuine, knowledgeable and will function as reliable role models for students: One should not misinterpret or insinuate that believers have no need for human teachers because of the Holy Spirit's direct teaching ministry Cleopatra's exceptional knowledge on the Christian teacher-student dynamic provides readers with strong overtones of credibility and intellectually-sound insights, while thoughtfully conveying the responsibilities of Christian teachers. This compelling read is highly recommended for teachers and students alike, as Cleopatra provides methods to inspire teachers to improve upon their curriculum. Cleopatra additionally provides readers with knowledge-enhancement tools to later become successful Christian educators. Called to Teach All Nations is a timeless reference guide, inspiring teachers to develop new suggestions and encourages them to model education styles based on the ministry of Christ. Both teacher and student will gain an appreciation for their unique roles as they walk in the Spirit.

My intent was to capture the thoughts, views and the images formed by a child growing up in Harlan County Kentucky during the great depression and the lasting effect it had on them. Conditions were worsened with the feuding between the coal operators and the Union. I hoped to capture the feeling of the helpless, not only the youth but many who were hopelessly trapped in conditions they had little or no control over. It was like being in a prison with no bars on the doors or windows. Life here wasn't easy but I leaned early that no one can control your mind, I made every little task a goal and a game to channel all my thoughts and imagination to a positive ending. I used music and sports as a diversion that kept me mentally young throughout my Harlan life and military career. I'm hoping it will last me another twenty years. There are many books about Bloody Harlan, its coal strikes and killings. Some things that happened there are not seen in print. I'm eighty years old, career military man, born 1932 in the Appalachian Mountains of Kentucky. I struggled to leave my life in the hills for the new world with the clothes on my back at eighteen, only to find my struggles had just begun because of my lack of my education and social skills. I participated in team sports till the age of thirty three; I still enjoy golfing, fishing and other outdoor activities. I don't consider myself an author, I write only nonfiction about what I see, hear, touch, taste and think. Tommy K. Absher
Now, more than ever, the mature Believers need to be Generation Minded. It does not matter what your eschatological view is, there is no time left for itching ears or kingdom building. The Lord is doing a quick work with young Believers and there is no time to re-invent the wheel in the sense that the New Believer is not left to their own devices in discovering foundational truths and doctrine at their leisure. They need to be established on a foundation above the roof level that we mature Believers have attained. Here are the stepping stones they need to build their foundation to launch out on their new adventure called "Life on the Road." Ian attempts to establish the basic foundations quickly and effectively so that the young Believer is encouraged to launch from there and attain heights of which the mature Believer could only dream. We need not go to extreme expense and effort to get a good and sound foundation set for the young Believer, this book would set them on the road to sound understanding of their commitment to Yeshuah Ha Mashiach (Jesus the Messiah). This book of Ian's has been a long time in preparation; but I do believe in the divine timing of our God. If ever there was a time for a book like this to be in abundant supply in every pastor's library, it is NOW! In my opinion every person saying "a sinner's prayer" should either be given one of these to read at home or should be taken and discipled through it.

ROOTS - a metaphor and an acronym for the Christian life! A plant needs deep roots to provide it with an anchor during storms and flood, and nourishment, especially during droughts so it can thrive and produce good fruit. Roots are to a plant, what Relationship, Obedience, and Opportunities to minister, Truth and Salvation are to the Christian - anchor, nourishment and sustenance during the storms, flood and droughts of life. The goal of the book "ROOTS" is to inspire you to sow specific seeds of disciplines in your life so they can germinate and produce the strong and deep roots that can anchor and provide nourishment on your journey through this life. Every Christian can experience an Abundant Life -- a life filled with hope, a life filled with joy, a life filled with peace and a life filled with love; but, you need ROOTS to experience that kind of life! Endorsements Jerry & Gwen Reese (General Manager of the 2007 and 2011 Super Bowl Champion the New York Giants). "Powerful...a book that is an answer to our quest in seeking abundant life filled with peace, hope and internal joy. The acronym "ROOTS" that Christopher has written of so eloquently well expresses our need to nurture our relationship with God, to realize the aptitude of our need to be obedient to His Word, to continuously seek the opportunities to minister and to know the truth that is evident in Scripture." Reverend Terrence E. Moss, Sr. Bible Teacher; Marriage Mentor; Relationship Builder President, One Flesh Ministries "Very thoughtful, mature, and insightful exegesis of such profound subject matter; I started reading this work as an observer, one preparing to provide feedback. As I read, I realized I had become a learner of real profound truth!"

Prophetically we are in 7th day from Adam, the 3rd day from Christ. Have you ever read this scripture? But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. (2 Peter 3:8) This is the greatest season that the church has ever known. Revelation and spiritual insight is increasing at a pace rivaling modern technology. It seems as if what has been proclaimed, prophesied and preached for the last several decades is unconditionally true, God has reserved the best for last. Keep in mind that these truths are new to us, not Him. The church is growing up, we are putting away childish things, and we are coming out of process prepared for HIS glory. The truths in this book are being released through an apostolic and prophetic mantle. Those who have ears to hear and receive will follow the cloud, others, as church history always proves will stand still and proclaim they have "all truth" and aren't moving. Revelation is progressing. The more Lot is removed from our lives (see Genesis 13:14) and when Uzziah finally dies (see Isaiah 6:1), we will see our destiny, our Lord and His revelation. Dr. Don D Hughes (Apostle) The church has been at a crossroad, there are those who are content with where they are and with what they have, and then there are those who are hungry for more of what God has to offer. The Spirit of Revelation will keep us on the cutting edge of what God is doing in the earth. Passion plays a very important part in our relationship with the Lord! Not to sound critical, but passion is the missing ingredient in many churches today in America. Revelation is the path God travels to bring us into present-day truth. We cannot be found in the operation of new truths if we have an old approach to things. The order of leadership is changing, God is moving in new directions (new to us) and we must change and move with Him. It is the Spirit of Revelation that has brought us to the place the church is presently at and it will be the Spirit of Revelation that will take us to newer and greater heights concerning where we are headed. Let this book stir your heart to maximize your relationship with Him. Dr. Tim Hines (Prophet)
An individual's chronic wound (area of vulnerability) seems to mock God's power to bring healing. The wound is often an unidentified exposed place. A place that overtime has been systematically infiltrated and infected by the enemy of our soul. In Nehemiah 4:13, Nehemiah inspects the wall, and finds the exposed place. He strengthens the walls vulnerabilities by placing guards at the fracture, and he stations men in families equipping them with a sword, spear or bow. The parallel of Jerusalem's fractured wall in this book is equated to a life broken into by engrained problematic sin. This book will help bring healing to the reader as they discover their exposed place, see its origin and patterns of behavior. It will provide the Godly counter intelligence from God's Word to heal and strengthen and in conclusion it will equip you with a fresh understanding of God's powerful provisions to help protect the place of vulnerability. Tony Martorana is a sought after minister of the Gospel, speaking to issues of the heart. He carries the Father's heart and loves the family of God. He has been married to Susan for 39 years, with 4 children James( 1976-1992), Joy, Mark and Melody and they celebrate love with 6 grandchildren.

Dwight (Buc) Keene is a life-time resident of Washington State and grew up on a stump farm, the forth of ten kids, and dreaming of becoming a cowboy and having a horse some day. He always maintained he should have been born in Texas. He met his wife Janis in a little country church the family attended, and she provides much of the inspiration for the romance of this story. They moved to the Olympic Peninsula shortly after their marriage where they had a small cattle operation and he owned his first horse. They eventually moved to the Columbia Basin in Eastern Washington where he was involved in the hay and cattle business for several years while their family was growing up. The couple currently resides on a one hundred and twenty year old mountain homestead in the Olympic Mountains after having moved back to the Peninsula to open a feed store and gun shop. They have four grown children and eight grandchildren and Buc finds time between his family and business interests to allow his faith to inform his writing and love of humor, adventure, the outdoors and all things cowboy.

With a record number of sick and frustrated people and the overwhelming increase of degenerative diseases, we find ourselves struggling for answers, which unfortunately are not very accessible or beneficial for the most part, with masking the symptoms mentality; people are forced to start to take their health and wellness in their own hands, and seek for alternative methodologies. With the understanding of medications as band aids and no real assistance in healing, and also the knowledge of side effects these drugs have, it is time for some real solutions to some real health issues. Author Nina Venturella has firsthand experience in dealing with sickness and frustration. After battling Candida for over 10 years her strenuous journey began and it opened up a whole new opportunity for not only healing in her body but also assisting in helping others. Nina's personal relationship with God has given her insight and Godly wisdom in performing and teaching these methods and also educating others on the importance in walking in alignment in the Spirit, Soul and Body in doing so, it is discovered that understanding root cause of sickness and disease on a Spiritual level is crucial to obtaining the abundant life that God has purposed for us.
As Paul pens his letter to the Romans, he naturally expresses the good news of salvation in a format suitable for his message, salvation for both Jews and Gentiles in the context of God's righteousness. To understand the letter's structure is to have valuable clues to the meaning of its message. Often this structure goes unrecognized and the light it can shed on the meaning is missed. Romans contains several difficult passages whose meaning is clarified when their role in the structure is recognized. Romans - Its Form and Message, is both a commentary and a teaching tool. As a commentary, it takes full advantage of the light that the structure sheds upon the meaning of the text. As a teaching tool, it presents the structure in a way that is both instructive and memorable. Throughout, it keeps the structure before the reader, with generous use of tables and diagrams, and a context reminder with each new Scripture passage. The reader always knows the context of the current passage, and why Paul is saying what he says. "From time to time, a commentary is written that captures the essence of the Apostle Paul's heart, which is to present the glorious holiness, righteousness, and goodness of God according to the TRUTH. This volume flows like a river; it has understandable depth, and where the river meets the shore one can bask in the knowledge and application of God's love for both Jew and Gentile equally. It is the best personal teaching commentary on the book of Romans that I've ever read!" Terry Berreth, Pastor, Crossroads Church "Romans: Its Form and Message provides an excellent analysis of this important epistle. It reflects solid inductive study, as well as a well-reasoned and thorough outline that helps make sense of Paul's argument." Pastor Tim Jack

He was given to me by my brother when he was 3 months old and from that time on I could see a devilish little boy who was into mischief all of the time. I want to pass them on to the reader so that they may touch their hearts as much as he touched mine. May this book bring joy to the dog lovers and beyond, no matter what your age.
