Dr. Sommer grew up with severe/profound hearing loss in both ears. As a boy he would often ask God why he could not hear like other people. He learned that if we can hear man, but not God, we are deaf. If we can see, but do not see God, we are blind. If we can walk, but are not walking with God, we are crippled. You may never have asked God "why can't I hear?" But who among us has never asked God "why?" Why did they have to die? Why is there so much sickness and suffering? Why did this relationship have to end? Why do I feel this grief? Why is there war? Why am I going through this? Why God Why? Dr. Sommer's testimony is sure to touch your heart. Even more importantly, his book "Why God Why" will help you work through those questions in your own life and turn them into a testimony that impacts the world around you.
Author Charlie Eipper pens a unique read discussing Christian self-defense. As a police officer with many years in law enforcement, Eipper includes an autobiography and speaks on engaging topics from a place of experience. Eipper reveals interesting backgrounds of Biblical leaders, inviting readers to gain insight on how the Bible unveils fascinating commentary on self-defense, Biblical heroism, violence and combat. Eipper's book is a great religious reference tool that also exposes readers to the social issues surrounding combat in a Biblical and non-Biblical context, while showcasing a contagious passion for the Word of God.
Airbourne is a town not known for excitement. It had no reputation for outstanding architecture or exotic culture. Those who live and work there are contented enough not to complain too often. But visitors there are few. It nestle quietly and serenely in a fold of gently sweeping hills, welcoming only those travelers who are on their way to somewhere else. Yet something is stirring in those quiet streets and understated buildings. Unnoticed and unseen influences are at play. Forces that flow from the highest levels seeking to change forever the way young minds think. Corrupting and darkening all remaining traces of innocence in life. Reports of a murder then begin to work their way around the town, but fall on unbelieving ears. The bearer of the news being the despised and deluded town drunk. Faithful Christians in the town are forced to confront a wickedness far more depraved than worst nightmares could design.
Scar tissue isn't just physical. We can go through many experiences that leave us wounded and even when we heal, they leave permanent marks. How do we live with these traces of our past? Even in times when we're sure we know how to manage our lives and have already chosen one future, any kind of disruption can come along to give us another. In Hope Beyond the Scars, Kim Roberts explains how we can stop living in the past and learn to make healthy choices through the power of God's love. The first one? Choosing to hope.
Another picture perfect day on the water, or so it may seem. This photo is special for what is taking place on the inside. Just four days earlier, I received the third round of chemotherapy treatments for Hodgkin's Lymphoma. These healing chemicals are rapidly taking a toll on my body, and at the same time, my soul is being strengthened by a God that loves. As this life consuming struggle progressed, a whirlwind of emotions developed and an outlet was needed. On one special night, the Holy Spirit moved me to begin sharing my journey. Seeing my thoughts on paper was part of the healing process that I never knew existed. It helped grow a powerful bond with God. Heaven even allowed me to borrow a pen to write these words. "Thanks for your positive influence on so many people. Your faith and journey are an inspiration to many! Never forget God is in the miracle performing business!" Fisher DeBerry Legendary United States Air Force Academy head football coach
When we are healthy, it feels as though nothing will be able to bring us down. Yet when we suffer illness, struggle with addiction or are in need of spiritual guidance, hope seems to fade and doubt abounds. What we need is miraculous healing that comes only from God through Jesus Christ, healing that is explored more in Christian author Paula Boyea's new book, The Healer's Hands: Spiritual Growth and Miraculous Healing. A collection of spiritual principles focused on fulfilling spiritual needs through God's love, the principles are highlighted by real-life healing examples and biblical stories. Readers will dig deeper into recognized spiritual principles such as faith, prayer and forgiveness, as well as learn from examples of how God uses these principles to bring extraordinary physical and spiritual recovery. God's direction in our lives will be made known, and pain-filled steps will be transformed into praise-filled walks of faith.
Mainstream religious tradition teaches that Adam and Eve were created on the same day, the sixth day of creation week. On the contrary, there is a key to the creation story that goes overlooked and explains much more than a surface understanding offers. In Adam Had to Die, Herbert J. Brunswick, Jr. explains that the man lived alone in the garden for a certain period of time before the woman was created. The fall of Eden was necessary; despite divinity original sin had to take place. It was the necessary soil for the seeds God planted in created humanity to take root and bear fruit. This concept is difficult to believe, but Herb Brunswick helps you grasp it firmly in order to know the full truth of God's master plan.
Steps of Salvation is a book that describes the chronological steps a person will experience before they are saved. These steps are taken from the Scriptures (from the Holy Bible) and from my own experience of salvation. These chronological events of salvation are based on Ephesians 1:13, 14, Romans 10:14-17, and the Parable of the Sower, as recorded in Mark 4:1-25; Matthew 13:1-23; and Luke 8:4-18. To these are added other Scripture passages to complete the Steps of Salvation. Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing? and one of them shall not fall on the ground without your Father. But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear ye not therefore, ye are of more value than many sparrows. Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven." Matthew 10:29-32

"This is a true story of an unguided child, teenager and grown woman who has gone through many forms of abuse. I, Yolanda Bivins, have gone through physical, mental, verbal, and emotional abuse starting at the age of 4 years old. Through reading this story, you will see how God has brought me out. A word to the wise, is to never give up on Jesus because He is King. It is only because of the goodness of Jesus that I'm still alive. My life has almost been taken numerous times. It is Gods favor, grace and mercy that brought me through being molested, raped, prostitution, drug use, a bad marriage, and a family of un-nurtured love etc. Jesus was and is my only source and provider and His will called me to the ministry. On August 1, 2012 I became a licensed minister to preach the gospel and I am blessed and highly favored, because He is an ON TIME GOD."

Alex considered his circumstances. It seemed his only option was to disappear. If he didn't do so voluntarily, it appeared that there were powers that would make him do so involuntarily. So begins Soul searching. A tightly crafted, frighteningly plausible thriller about controversial science, medical phenomena, tough moral choices and spiritual integrity. Soul searching is very visual, wonderfully cinematic storytelling presented through the engaging interactions of a cast of unique and involving characters moving through both familiar and exotic landscapes. The philosopher's stone. The elixir of life. The quest for immortality. What if there was some degree of truth embedded in these concepts? What if this piece of fiction, like so many others, turns out to be less an exercise in imagination and more one of extrapolation? Alex is an intellectual man of faith, a devoted husband and an attentive father, struggling to balance his passions for his chosen field of study and his Lord. Caught in a relentless net of political controls and an expanding scientific moral vacuum, Alex discovers that some things are not as black and white as he might like, and that not everyone who is a friend today will be a friend tomorrow. Whilst this is a fictional account, the basic scientific principles and knowledge leading to the story's remarkable conclusion are all too real. Indeed, this last decade following the conception of the book has seen rapid advances in molecular biology, DNA sequencing, bio-terrorism and the study of near-death experiences, which only serve to increase the credibility of the underlying rationale. And if it puts your immortality outside of your own control, wouldn't you want to know? Wouldn't you want to retake control? If so, read on. If not-remember, you were warned.
Anne Latouche was born in Barbados. At the age of 50 years old, she obtained "The Bachelor of Theology Degree" from The Beacon School of Theology in Georgia, USA. She is a single mother of 2 children. This status was inherited by her due to a marriage that failed after 7 years. Why? God was not in it. The challenges of life after that, lead her to a closer understanding of God and how he works in the lives of individuals who seek to know his unconditional love for us, and he brings the victory that we need to get us through each challenge. Her message to those who read this book is, that no matter what you face when you are challenged, whether single parent or not, when God is at the centre of your world, you can have victory and you can rejoice because He is with you in the valley and He grants you his favour when you keep your focus on him and not on your circumstances. You can live in "the Secret Place", "His Secret Place". There you are safe.
"Blood Covenant" is a right of every believer. It should be a mandatory class taught to all who come to know Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior of their lives. It is the foundation of God's Word, the Bible, from Genesis to Revelation. Blood Covenant exists and is practiced in some form, throughout all cultures. It should be the common bond for the Body of Christ. Yet, it isn't. Christians in different parts of the world are being persecuted and martyred for their stand on what they believe. While churches in America fall prey and victim to every wind of doctrine due to "lack of knowledge" of basic "Blood Covenant" rights, thereby looking no different from the world, scattered and divisive. Although not widely taught in our churches today, it is with a basic knowledge and understanding of "Blood Covenant" that could have a profound effect on an individual's life, the way it did mine. Unless we're willing to allow old habits to die and put away those pagan gods of doctrine we have been holding on to since yester-year, you can't experience an "Extreme Make-over: The Blood Covenant" edition.
