The purpose of this short handbook is to prepare God's people for the spiritual battles that are facing all of us, and the world itself, in these Last Days. Using Psalm 101, the author shows readers that God, both in David's time as well as our own day, intends Christians to be spiritually involved, in their daily circumstances, through intercessory prayer against evil spiritual forces. However, the author draws his message from every corner of the Bible, demonstrating that the precepts for successful spiritual warfare are pervasive throughout the Word, timeless.

Kingdom Realities is a study from some of my own experiences, as a believer in Christ, and as a minister of His Word. The main purpose of this book is to teach and equip the saints to be effective in God's Kingdom. To live by faith in the power of God's word, by submission, and what you think in your heart according to the word. Every moment of the day practising God's presence, being made conformable unto his death, that we would not react to the outer pressures, circumstances etc. that we experience in our daily life. That we understand that we don't have to sin daily, but live victoriously in the one we focus our attention on. This book is packed with the word of the Lord, to encourage, edify, and help the church to mature into the very likeness of the Lord Jesus Christ, and to walk like He walked upon the earth. How do I even begin to express the awesomeness of God's miracles He has bestowed upon me and my family. Every fourteenth year God has proven to the medical doctors that He is the true healer and life giver. His wisdom and knowledge brings to our attention, we need to put our trust in Him. He is our creator and loving Father. This nation as a whole is sick and like sheep has wandered far from the fold of God. We must repent and be cleansed by the washing of Jesus Christ's shed blood. If only we would obey His voice. He would heal our land and bless us more abundantly by pouring out His Holy Spirit.

Utilizing personal testimonies to communicate his spiritual wisdom and insight into the world of gang violence and substance abuse, Eugene McDuffie once again delivers a message of hope and redemption in "Angels without Wings", the follow up to his book "Missing Love Child". "I already have accepted the fact I was born to raise myself and did everything for me by myself. I am my own father." Far from the dry rhetoric of the customary treatment of the issue of gangs, Eugene breaths vibrant life and great understanding into the depictions of his own experiences and those of the children with which he has worked as a youth advocate. Having experienced life on the streets firsthand, Eugene is uniquely qualified and capable of presenting the issues in a manner accessible to people of all walks of life. "Hope," who spoke some words to me that I am sure I will never forget as long as I shall live. Her words to me were: "When one door closes.... Attacking the subject matter from all angles, Eugene educates his readers as to how gang violence, and the greater societal problems of which gangs are a symptom, effects all aspects of society, and further suggests a call to action, and how by strengthening families and an individual's relationship with God, the problem can be addressed at its roots. Eugene Lee McDuffie's "Angels without Wings" boldly takes a stand against gangs, and bullies, exposing the pitfalls of entanglement in gang involvement. "Children develop an attachment to those who show them attention and respond to their needs reliably. The bond that a child has with its caregiver will impact the child for the rest of its life." We all can do something about this problem, I learned, as I stepped out on faith alone to educate and help children stay away from gangs, drugs and violence. The question is: Are there angels? You and I know the answer is yes! There are definitely angels! Any person, if we choose to be, can be an Angel without Wings!

As a parent facing the empty nest much sooner than I had anticipated, I realized that I had so much more that I wanted to pour into my children's lives, but time was of the essence. There were so many things that I wanted to say and instill in them, so much that I hadn't shared. It was with that sense of urgency that I was compelled to write Love Letters To My Children. Love Letters To My Children is a gift, a treasure trove of wise council and instruction for them to access as they go forth into a hostile world. I may no longer be able to protect them, but with these letters, I could preserve them. - Susan Quintyne "Susan Quintyne has given us beautiful thoughts not only about motherhood and family but also about the God who loves us all." - Carol Cymbala, Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir Founder & Director "Susan Quintyne's Love Letters to My Children is a loving reminder of Mom's wisdom and prayer for her kids! In these pages, you will find your own prayers and hopes for your children and perhaps be moved, as I have been, to write some letters of your own." - Dr. Duane P. Durst, District Superintendent, NY District Assemblies of God. "Appropriately titled "Love Letters to My Children", Susan Quintyne teaches us that the vulnerability of love transcends all loving relationships, especially the relationship between a parent and a child. As a parent, she becomes transparent and shares with her children her deepest joys, fears and insecurities. Susan's honesty is refreshing, challenging, and, most of all, greatly needed and appreciated." - Rev. Doll Kennedy, Newark, NJ "Love Letters to My Children resonates and echoes the wisdom that David gave to his son, Solomon. It is inspirational and instructional for parents as they train their children to face this hostile generation." - Dr. Steven Wells & Mrs. Gwen Wells "Beautifully written sentiments from a mother to her children as they transition from childhood to adulthood! It highlights joys, fears, hopes, and expectations and offers food for thought to parents of any age." - Pastor Brenda L. Stokes, Florida Susan was born in England and raised in Brooklyn of Barbadian parents. Susan was one of the lead soloists of the multi-Grammy-award-winning, Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir. The songs she led thrust the choir into the international spotlight. Her two projects, Glorious Is Thy Name and Worthy of Worship are an inspiration to all who listen. Susan holds degrees in Spanish Literature & Culture, Educational Technology, and Foreign Language Education. www.susanquintyne.com

  • av Thomas Vincent Murphy
    205

Over the years, Hollywood has learned the secret of how to captivate our minds through the art of make-believe. Life in our world has become so unpredictable and uncertain, that it has become hard to distinguish between real-life and make-believe. It's time for God's true people to "wake up," and distance themselves as much as possible from the perils of a negative world; and take time to live a life filled with hope and promise. Putting our trust in God, loving and enjoying our families, respecting others and showing appreciation to our friends can put us in the frame of mind to continuously thank God for the precious time He has allowed us on this earth. Thomas Vincent Murphy has been involved in the music industry as a writer, arranger, producer and performer. He has been a major part of many music projects and productions. His peers, the public and the critics have given him high marks; but his desire to please God keeps him humble in a world filled with arrogant people. He has worked closely with radio and television for years by writing jingles, music for television commercials seen worldwide, being music director for a television program, and by hosting and being the executive producer of his own radio programs. His Christian variety program "Murph's Positive Reflections" is being heard worldwide in individual markets and by advanced satellite technology and the internet. He enjoys broadcasting his 'live" weekly program from "The Broadcast Center" in NW Florida each Sunday; which is a varied version of the worldwide program. As a newspaper columnist, he's able to reach people with positive messages each week through his writings. Thomas is thankful to God for his family, many blessings, gifts and opportunities.

  • av Melvin Pillay
    205

In Dancing with the Devil, evangelist Melvin Pillay addresses cultural Christianity in America and the adversary's plot to pull the Church into a deadly waltz of apostasy. This wake-up call will challenge readers to examine one's personal faith and understanding of biblical Christianity. As a missionary from South Africa, Pillay shares his heart for the American church to turn the tide back toward a nation that is submitted to God's authority rather than pinned under man-made institutions. Much like C.S. Lewis' Screwtape Letters, strategies of the enemy are exposed and brought to light. The forgotten pillars of the Christian life are outlined with an honest heart to see God's people return to their intended purpose and calling. Jesus gave the mandate to discern the times, to watch and pray. This timely word is speaking to the Body of Christ and her need to rise up against the threat of spiritual darkness and prepare for His return. "Watch, stand fast in the faith, be brave, be strong" (1 Corinthians 16:13).

  • av Lorrie Green
    166,-

Kids' chores are usually a sign of loving parents who want to instill good values in them. For Lorrie Green, it was quite the opposite. When domestic violence led to her parents' separation and her mother turned to drinking alcohol, Lorrie's life fell apart through sexual child abuse. After being abused in the foster home where she was placed, she ended up back at her mother's house. There her mother's boyfriend also abused her and showed her only worth was what she did around the house. What does Lorrie have to say after this kind of childhood? A lot! God was always the avenue of her reprieve until she was finally delivered to total freedom once and for all. The voice He preserved is the one she uses to speak out and reach out--telling abuse victims they, too have a future and a purpose.

  • av Mark Jacob Cote
    227,-

Missional Family Wholeness, Characteristics, and Mobilization The Think Kingdom-Be Family Initiative (TKBF) is a biblically-grounded, research-based, and relationally-delivered discipleship approach to identify the elements that characterize missional families and to effectively mobilize them. Many families lack a corporate sense of mission. As a result, churches need to embrace the challenge of mobilizing families according to their collective identity and purpose in Christ and His mission. In the end, this qualitative research demonstrates that a new way of being and doing is possible through redemptive family wholeness, characteristics, and mobilization. Mark Jacob Coté, D.Min., is husband to Kristin, and dad to Caleb, Jacob, and Rachel. Mark and Kristin also have a daughter, Victoria Grace, with the Lord. Victoria's life and legacy is a testimony of God's victory by His grace through belonging to Him as His beautiful servant. As stewards of her testimony, Mark and his family rejoice in being God's children in His family and doing His work. Mark also serves as a pastor, teacher, administrator, leader, and coach. As a doctor of the church, Mark's heart is to equip leaders of the "least of these" for the glory of God.

    166,-

As the Church moves forward in today's society, there is a great need for Pastors, Elders and spiritual leaders that will reflect the nature of our Lord and be examples to His flock. However, one of the dangerous extremes within the Body of Christ today is the adoration and "hero worship" of our leaders over the adoration of our Lord Jesus Christ. It's very sad that many Christians in the Church today have mistakenly given a place that should be reserved strictly for God alone to those who lead them. This book, Between Honor and Idolatry seeks to help us as Christians learn how to love, respect and honor those in authority over us without falling into idolatry to them. We must give the Lord back His place in our hearts while balancing out and developing a healthy relationship with those whom He has called to oversee us. Ken West has served Jesus Christ for over 30 years. He currently serves on the Leadership Team at Cornerstone Church in Broadway, Virginia. He resides with his wife and children in the Shenandoah Valley where he also works in the Information Technologies field.

When a situation arises in one's life that tries or tests our faith, we immediately want to push the "panic" button in our brains and fill our minds with hopelessness that things could not possibly get better from here. Too many times, instead of fighting in one's faith for "IT" to change, God's people go around defeated, miserable, depressed, confused-thinking, "This is just part of life," and we accept "IT." The reality is, you do not have to accept anything from the devil. He is out to rob, blind, bind and destroy God's people. No longer are you to give the devil a foothold. Despite the enemy's schemes, God has a Plan for each of us to live a fulfilled, abundant life through Christ! When you start to activate your faith in God, things change. Mountains crumble. Walls fall down. How is this done, exactly? By Prayer...applied in four, easy steps. Pray "IT" Down is intended to inform, remind, and encourage believers, that through Jesus Christ, the devil is the defeated one, and you are made a Victorious overcomer through every trial and battle you will face. This book is to be used as a tool to help you center your relationship with Christ and experience a spiritual breakthrough in your life! Pray "IT" Down until your troubles are under your feet. "A common misconception people have about Christians is that they never "have any problems" or "struggle with their emotions" as everybody else does; as though depression, temptation and confusion, just to name a few, don't exist for Christians..." Stephania Howard is Co-host of Igniting Your Best radio broadcast, an ordained minister, singer/songwriter, author and speaker. She ministers alongside her husband, Pastor Chad Howard, in a ministry they founded in 2013 called, Igniting Your Best.

NAKED CHURCH is a handbook on empowering "amateur" Christian leaders to authentically practice the New Testament "one another" verses in home churches each week, with the goal of mutual growth and maturity in Christ. Being "naked" with one another, being known and knowing others, is the starting point for both pastors and lay leaders who want to help fellow believers move out of self-centeredness and immaturity to become forgivers, peacemakers and effective kingdom proclaimers. The emphasis is on practicing genuine hospitality and authentic vulnerability each week: listening rather than lecturing, sharing struggles honestly, and retelling the Great Story of Jesus to one another. The chapters explain how home church leaders can nurture spiritual identity in group members and release one another to grow up in Christ, while mutually ministering their spiritual gifts. The author gives biblical and practical insight from years of experience in leading home churches, tackling such challenges to maturity as anger, victimhood, financial disarray, unresolved marriage conflicts, grief and loss. Real home church should be neither an encounter group nor another Bible study, the author explains, but an ongoing experience that helps us actually do the truth we already know. Jim Reynolds holds a bachelor's and a master of divinity degree from Abilene Christian University (1964, 1967), a doctorate from the Graduate Theological Union, Berkeley, Calif. (1974), and a law degree from Southern Methodist University (1981). He has been a licensed marriage and family counselor, and has published numerous articles and books, including Secrets of Eden, God and Human Sexuality (1974), The Lepers Among Us (2007), The Lavish Hospitality of God (2009), Why We Don't Shoot the Wounded (2010), and The Unfinished Drama of Scripture (2012). Jim has taught religion, theology, philosophy, and biblical studies at Pepperdine University and the University of Texas, and presently is an adjunct professor at Dallas Christian College.
