It''s in the back of every officer''s mind: the bullet that could end his or her life. They take the risk and are heroes for it-but can you imagine doing this at a time when bulletproof vests were not standard? In the early 80s Hawkins and his partner chased down a suspect in Atlantic City NJ only to end up in a shoot out. This is hardly out of the ordinary-except Hawkins wasn''t wearing a vest because it was not yet part of operations policy. His partner was wearing a vest, but he died and Hawkins lived. This is an autobiography unlike any you''ve ever read before. The details of Wesley Hawkins''s personal history channel emotions and reactions you can hardly anticipate. Read the inside story of real politics and police work as Hawkins shares the miracle of his survival that he knows only God is responsible for.

There were many mass murderers throughout history, including Mao of China (49-78 million), Leopold of Belgium (8-10 million), and Joseph Stalin of Russia (6-20 million). Each one is a frightening example of mankind''s evil.-There is a subtle difference between these three and Adolf Hitler, for example, who directed most of his fury at one particular people ... the Jews. That strain of hatred is different. It desires more than to shed blood; it desires to wipe the slate clean of the memory of an entire race of people.-The killers in this book are enemies of God; they are not random and they are connected by blood. - "So that the name of Israel is remembered no more" (Psalm 83:4).About the Author:RC Morro is a Bible student. Having read Hal Lindsey''s "The Late Great Planet Earth" in the 1970''s, Morro fulfilled a long-time desire to find out what the Bible had to say about Israel and her irascible enemies. His website is -www.prophecytracker.org -The book explores a new answer to Malachi 1:2-3, "Jacob I have loved, but Esau I have hated."

One of the greatest unsolved mysteries of all time! So, whatever happened to the Zodiac Killer who haunted the San Francisco Bay Area from 1969 to the night of his sudden disappearance in 1978? He cleverly manipulated and taunted the emotions of the public through the newspapers, and mocked and scorned the police he called "The Keystone Cops" and the "Blue Meanies." He egotistically announced, "You will never capture me!" It seemed that he was right. The Zodiac always had the "Phantom advantage" in every circumstance, and escaped. He was definitely one of the most demonic individuals on earth, as he spoke often in his letters to the public and the police about "the monster within me . . . I cannot stop!"One night a couple who had just gotten out of a late night church service suddenly encountered him. They ultimately wound up getting into a high speed chase with him. When it was between him and this couple, and ultimately their family, a supernatural occurrence happened! Based on a true story and actual events!Katherin ("Kathie") FitzPatrick has been a professional level writer since her high school years. In her adult life this led to a long career as a television producer, writer and on-camera talent for a prominent Christian television network in the San Francisco Bay Area. Currently, she is working in Real Estate and income properties and is an entrepreneur. She resides in the Pacific Northwest with her family, and participates in various ministry ventures.

This book provides insights to church, association and convention leaders concerned for the future-for the effectiveness of the organizational health to carry out the Great Commission of Jesus Christ. The author desire is to assist leaders of each of these entities in understanding its organizational history in order to diagnose unhealthy issues and bring about renewed vitality. The revitalization of the association can be the starting point for African-American Baptist church and convention sustaining growth numerically, financially and spiritually. Leaders will discover how to restore churches, associations and conventions to a vital and viable level to address the lack of trained leaders, the loss of large segments of age groups, the lack of mission education, discipleship, saving youth from crime, drugs, etc. and strategies for evangelism and mission in action. It is a model of revitalization that calls for personal and organizational change by clarifying the purpose, creating and expanding structures, and examining ways leaders are chosen for service. It examines socio-economic and racial reconciliation issues that undermine the gospel integrity and revitalization of the church as the Kingdom of God on earth.

Are God''s actions visible in the world today? Does He still do the type of works we see in the Bible-provide supernatural guidance, unexplained timely provision and protection, miraculous answers to simple prayer, and physical healing when the doctors have given up hope? If yes, then where is He at work? Standing in the middle of a landfill just over five years ago, Brett Durbin was confronted with a reality that has been described by many as being the closest thing to hell on earth that exists in our post-modern culture. Children and families that have nothing scrounge in the trash dump for a few scraps of metal to pay for their next bowl of rice. But what could be done to help such a forgotten society? Witness is the compelling true story of Brett''s experience as he obeyed the call to reach out to the least, the lost, and the forgotten through the formation of Trash Mountain Project, the organization he founded. It is the story of an amazing God, whose actions are very much visible in the lives of the organization and the people they co-labor with and serve around the world.Brett Durbin is the founder of Trash Mountain Project, located in Topeka, Kansas. He holds a Masters in Criminal Justice (Washburn University) and a Master of Arts in Christian Leadership (Asbury Theological Seminary). Brett, his wife Jaelle, and their five children live in Topeka. Church Hurt. Whoever coined this phrase should get a Nobel prize for Truth. Who would have imagined that some of the most memorable church moments, or moments in life for that matter, would be those that evolved around the topic of church hurt. We certainly expect hurt from our family, hurt from our friends, even hurt from total strangers. But to be hurt by those that profess to know, love and serve the same God that I know, love and serve was more than I could have ever fathomed.Consequently, this book was borne out of the conversations and eventual revelation received from God Himself regarding the pain experienced as the result of church experiences. This subject is approached in an effort to take a candid look at "church hurt", the effects it has on us as Christians, and ultimately the positive results it can have on our Christian growth.Ms. Robin Elaine Eldridge is a native of Oakland, California. Her ministry is quite expansive, and includes being an ordained minister, preaching the gospel, speaking at conferences, serving as retreat facilitator, and conducting gospel music workshops around the country, teaching classes in Vocal Technique, Choir Decorum, Praise and Worship and Choir Directing. Robin has recorded with several local and national gospel artists, and has been honored by both the Gospel Academy Awards and the Bay Area Gospel Music Excellence Awards as "Director of the Year". She has traveled extensively throughout the world, ministering in South and Eastern Africa, Spain, France, Japan, Italy and Switzerland. Most recently Robin launched "Where You Are Ministries", an outside-the-walls ministry designed to help heal hurting people.

This book is essential for Christians attending public high school or college-especially before they take biology or earth science classes. Most biology classes in today''s public schools teach evolutionary theory as fact, and only rarely mention creation possibilities outside of this theory, such as Biblical Creation. About 44% of young adults who abandon their Christian faith started developing their doubts in high school. When these "ex-Christians" are asked "What makes you question the Bible the most," 40% gave responses that had to do with Biblical Creation, including Noah''s Flood, the age of the Earth, and the Genesis account ("Culture and Church in Crisis," AnswersinGenesis.com, accessed January 16, 2014).This book, written by leading Creation Scientists, provides solid answers to these critical questions that will help Christian high school and college students solidify their faith and grow roots to withstand the evolution-based teaching in today''s schools. The topics covered in this book include:ΓÇóCan We Trust the Bible?ΓÇóDid Noah''s Flood Really Happen?ΓÇóThe Age of the Earth, Dating Methods, and EvolutionΓÇóDo Fossils Show Evolution?ΓÇóDo Fossils of Early Man Prove Evolution?ΓÇóNatural Selection and Evolution: Do Darwin''s Finches Prove Evolution?ΓÇóWhale EvolutionΓÇóAre Humans and Chimps Really 99% Similar?ΓÇóVestigial Structures

An intriguing journey through the obstacles in one young man''s troubled life. Born in a small southern town in Missouri and raised in the rugged streets of Chicago, death awaits him at every corner. From abuse in the home by his father to guns, gangs, armed robbery, and jail; will the perils of this world destroy this man? About thirty years ago my Christian manager, Dave Anderson was signing up dealers for my water pollution control business. Dave walked into the office of a Jew, Steve Tvedten and the first things he noticed were the huge knife on Steve''s belt and the sign on the wall, "Yea though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death I will fear no evil, for I am the meanest S.O.B. in the valley."Dave took out a book he was reading that I had written but never published entitled How to Utterly Defeat the Enemy or Have Fun Trying. He handed it to Steve. Steve read the entire book that night and by morning was a born again Spirit-filled Christian. A year later Steve sent me his chronology of the events in Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. It included thousands of Old and New Testament references, plus many Jewish ceremonies concerning Biblical events. An example is "The Folded Napkin" that I have included in this book. Steve told me that if I wanted to rewrite his book and publish it, go ahead. Thirty years later, here is my book in which I incorporate Steve''s chronology with the history of the time of Christ along with the Aramaic meanings of many words and idioms. Jesus and His disciples spoke Aramaic Hebrew rather than Greek or Latin and the Aramaic meanings add an interesting understanding of what actually occurred. The result is a very different and interesting history of the life of Jesus, the Bread of Life that came down from heaven to give us everlasting life and shed His blood as a sacrifice to pay for our sins. Understanding what Jesus meant, such as when He cursed the fig tree or folded His napkin adds a new perspective to history and Jesus'' prophecies.

After traveling throughout the world as an applications engineer, far from hissmall-town upbringing, the author began to scrutinize the roots of how he viewed his place in theuniverse. The conclusions he reached altered his life and beliefs, and fundamentally transformedhim as a human being. Big Bang? God created the heavens and the Earth? Where should weplace our faith? These questions are about emotion as much as intellect, and Forbes hasperformed extensive research and drawn cogent and convincing-indeed, inarguable-conclusions.
