Life is worthless without Jesus. Jesus was asked what the greatest commandment in the law is and He said unto him, "thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart and with all thy soul and with all they mind". This is the first and greatest commandment and the second is like unto it. Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets (Matthew 22:36-40). There shall be many false prophets who will deceive many. Because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold and he that shall endure until the end, the same shall be saved. This gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come. Not my way or your way or the highway unless it leads to the highway to heaven and eternal life with Jesus and the Father of us all.

I was used to getting my prayers answered. Over the years, the Lord heard my cries for mortgage money, success at work, for things to work out in my favor. And He had answered those cries! The Lord had given me an amazing list of answered prayers and victories. And I expected Him to continue to deliver, at my request. And when He didn't, the bottom dropped out of my theology. He could have rescued me but didn't. I was shaken. For the first time in a long time, I felt on my own. I didn't like it. I was mad at God. Secretly, I blamed Him for my failure. You, too, may harbor disappointment toward Him. That unanswered prayer. The healing that didn't happen. The child that died despite fervent prayers. All these events, the "Why, God?" questions that linger and cause doubt and disappointment can lead to bitterness. But bitterness is poison. I ask the pastor about it and he said it was time to eat. The devotion that I had the next morning was in the tenth chapter of Matthew, 7 And as ye go, preach saying the kingdom of heaven is at hand.8Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give. God then told me that he was calling me to preach. I said ok but what was the dream about eating. God then told me that I was a last dayΓÇÖs preacher and that I would see the soon return of Jesus, and that the eating was the marriage supper of the Lamb. He also told me that I should go and tell everyone. So that is what I have done ever since then.I live in Talladega Alabama with my wife, Debra, of twenty four years, and I have three wonderful children and three wonderful grandchildren. I am in charge of the outreach at the church I attend and am eagerly waiting on the soon return of Jesus.
