"Leonard A. Slade, Jr.'s poetry can pierce the heart or kiss the soul." - - Kate Stephens Poet and Playwright Leonard A. Slade, Jr.'s latest collection of poems reflects the changing landscape in which we live. At times both reflective and impassioned, Nobody Knows explores racial politics, identity, love, friendship, isolation, and mortality. Characters are realistically portrayed, as A.D. Jerome uses metaphors and engaging dialogue to keep you hooked on every page, recalling historical events reflecting a strong knowledge base on American history.

How I Love Your Word beckons its readers to drink deeply of the riches contained in Ps 119. Ps 119 is an acrostic poem. Hebrew is a picturesque language, and the letters of Hebrew operate as words themselves. Hence, the meaning of the words is encoded in its Hebrew letters. This fascinating fact led Laurie to carefully examine each verse in this light, and opened up greater insight and prophetic understanding to what the Spirit of God was communicating through the inspired writings of Scripture. Laurie seeks to faithfully interpret Scripture with Scripture to bring a fuller and richer flavor to what is apparent from the textual surface. As you read, the Spirit will bring to your mind other relevant passages to increase your own understanding of this chapter, and your love for our Lord. Come thirsty, and allow the Spirit of God to speak to you. Bring with you a notebook and pen as you traverse these first 80 verses of this magnificent psalm! Laurie Grooman is a life long student of Scripture since she came to Christ as a teenager. During her college years, she studied Koine Greek for nearly two years, which fueled her love for languages. Her educational background is in education and linguistics. She met her husband while studying at the Summer Institute of Linguistics and both she and her husband were members of Wycliffe Bible Translators. She and her husband have been married for over 25 years and have two sons. The two have been active in ministry leadership, with Laurie being involved in Community Bible Study and her husband, a worship leader and songwriter. It was largely through his influence that led Laurie to this study and writing on Ps 119. This is her first book.

A true story of a mother tragically and suddenly being taken from her family and how God was ever so loving and gentle through this greatest time of a daughters' need. To flood her with his amazing love and to take pain and turn it into praise. Revive means to give new life or energy to. This is what my Father did for me. He revived me. At times, I thought nothing could help the pain and the longing that I felt for my momma, but God knew exactly what I needed. What a journey. Our heavenly Father has so much more for us. We have much to learn in such a short time. His character is flawless. His love is immeasurable. His faithfulness is infinite. His kindness and gentleness blows my mind. I am thankful that God doesn't give up on His children. I am thankful that He is continuing to revive us and give new life. Give us the energy when we don't even have the strength to press on. I am revived through His love. Take this journey with me. My prayer is if you have a loved one who has died on this side of Heaven that you may find comfort, maybe some answers or scriptures to stand on during your time of grief. God knows your pain and your heart. God is the only answer. He is our comforter. He is our journey. Allow Him to revive you as you spend time alone with Him reading the words so inspired by Him on these pages. Be encouraged and be revived. I am a wife and mother of 2 daughters. I now have a precious son, Blake who I prayed for when my Megan was just a little girl. Blake is an answer to prayer. I prayed the same for Sarah and I know God will honor that prayer as well. I am the oldest and I have one living sister. I have been married to James for over 28 years. He was my rock through my greatest time of need. I changed jobs or rather, the Lord made the change for me some time after this season. I am a member of Auburn Heights Baptist Church in Phenix City, AL. I have been in children's ministry for 20 years. I have grown in different ways since this season of my life. I have always loved, but through this season God showed me how to love deeply and to see the love in others in a new way.

A thorough, detailed account of the questions many Christians and non-Christians have asked for hundreds of years: do our good works save us from hell, are we saved by the grace of God, or some combination of those two factors? How has the answer to this question changed from the Old Testament era to the New Testament era? Is there more than one way to be saved from eternity in hell? The sermons and writings of scholars from many denominations have helped the writer identify and sort through many of the conflicting ideas about eternal life. Denominations of Christianity all differ on a wide range of doctrinal issues while basing their beliefs on the same scriptural evidence. This book is a desire to reduce the confusion concerning the gospel that leads to eternal life. Apply the Bible as the filter to sort out truth from error. Ancient Israelite experience versus contemporary Christian experience. Gain a deeper understanding of God's amazing grace as displayed throughout history and point the way to eternal life. The relationship between God the Father, God the Son and the Holy Spirit, the Law of Moses and its roles including a detailed study of the food laws. The Levitical priesthood has been replaced by the priesthood of the Messiah in accordance with the order of Melchisedec. The nature and significance of the "new birth" requirement. The mysteries of life and death including the present state of the dead and their future fate. The difference between justification and sanctification.

I was born in a little town, in a home in which my father built, a place called Ponchatoula Louisiana. I am proud of being from this little Country town; known as a Country Girl. Being from this town, our values were very high, not only how we felt about ourselves, but also how we care about others, and how we treat them. My passion and love in God stemmed from these values and, over the years, has strengthened my walk with the Lord Jesus Christ. I am also thankful to have two grown sons, Derick and Jermaine Cade; nine grandchildren and two special great granddaughters; known as my G'Gs. I also have many daughters. Although they are not my biological daughters, they are the ones, in which the Lord Jesus has given me. I give a very warm and heartfelt thank you to that daughter who helped me in getting this book of poetry out. Thank you from the bottom of my heart! I consider myself as being very sensitive, fun loving person. I love people and want to see them succeed in life. I believe one way they will succeed is to have a personal relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ! I have been so very blessed to know the Lord Jesus as my personal Savior, and for Him to have blessed me to have met and married the love of my life, LeRoy Cade. God used him in many areas of my life and though he went home to be with the Lord in 2013, it is through God's love expressed through LeRoy that inspired me to write this book. Also a special thanks to family, friends, my Aglow team and the countless others who were an inspiration. You may not have known that you were helping me, but you played a part in what I needed to write! Thank you!

I wrote this book to help anyone who has been through some of the situations that I've endured, such as: abandonment issues, being abused as a child, runaway, incarceration, teenage pregnancy, abused verbally and physically by a spouse and much more. There are people out here that are smiling on the outside and hurting on the inside. For those of you that are feeling like you're all alone and you don't know who to turn to or trust, or are afraid because you don't want to be judged this book is for you. For those who don't know how to love yourself and feel that you're unworthy and looking for love in all the wrong places, this book is for you. For those who feel like you just can't go on and you want to give up, this book is for you. I've had to deal with being bullied and abuse to the point where I tried to commit suicide, so I know what you're going through because I've been through it. I feel if my story is told it can help someone, when you read what I've been through and how God healed me and restored me that it will give you hope in knowing God will do it for you as well. No matter how broken you may feel there is nothing too hard for God. I live in Florida, haven't been incarcerated in fifteen years. I'm divorced, I have two adult daughters and is now raising my two grandsons. I love fishing, reading, riding motorcycles, cooking and most of all serving God. Along the way people have given up on me and some said I'd never amount to anything or won't ever change. But God...

Catholicism is the world's largest Christian denomination with over 78 million Catholics in the United States and over 1.2 billion in the world. The worldwide moral and spiritual influence of the Catholic Church is immense and deeply touches the lives of its faithful adherents, just as it affected the life of the author. However, millions of these Catholic faithful have been touched by God's grace in such a way that, like the author, they cannot get enough of God. They are overwhelmed by a desire for something far deeper than they have ever experienced. They want the personal relationship with Jesus Christ that He said was available to every believer. This book documents the desperate measures one young man took to find that relationship and the amazing providence and protection of God that he found in the process. It is the author's deep desire and prayer that by the time you finish reading this book, you will know clearly and concisely what to do in order to have that personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

  • av Dr Mikell E Geiger Snooks
    213

There is not one person on Planet Earth who doesn't need God, the Good News or Jesus in their lives on a daily basis. As the universal church, we are the ones that establish the bridge between the lost to the Good News of God's Kingdom. However, understanding correct Christian theology can be hindered by several self-wills and long-held misinformation; this problem is one author and apostle Mikell Snooks wants to rectify through his new, mini-book The Everlasting Good News of the Kingdom. Presented as a scriptural interpretation centered in the Old and New Testaments of the Bible, Mikell broadens readers' comprehension of spiritual reformation to show this is the path to the Everlasting Gospel. After the fall from grace of humanity occurred, God intervened with His creation and re-established His kingdom through Jesus's life, death and resurrection. We are changed by God and must ready ourselves for Jesus's return.

"You all need this..." These were the first words the pastor at my school said to the entire secondary student body, as he challenged us to read the book of Proverbs over the summer. These were the words that truly began the journey that ultimately has led to the book you hold now. I believe this same phrase can be said of you today. If you are looking for truth; if you are looking for life; if you are looking for hope; then ultimately, you are searching for the Savior of the world. I hope and so truly pray that you find Him in these pages. So, what are you waiting for? Journey with me as we explore the pages of Proverbs and apply its timely and precious truths to our lives. We all need this; why not start today?;) Currently a junior at Messiah College, Heather Erfley originally wrote this book while a senior in high school. Now, just two years later, she is even more grateful for the journey this writing has brought her and the even greater, sometimes-more-wild journey called life.

  • av Erich Wildgrube
    166,-

Erich Wildgrube was born in Newark, NJ in 1958. While he was raised in a Catholic home, by the time of his Confirmation had rejected his family's faith. After having served in the US Air Force, training as an equipment operator with the Army Corps of Engineers, Erich found himself driving over the road for an armored car company. On November 14, 1982, Jesus appeared to Erich in a static vision of Himself. This experience catapulted Erich into an exhaustive quest for the keys to a real relationship with His Savior. Through churches, books, and pastoral counseling, Erich gleaned small bits of truth everywhere he landed. Sustained peace and Joy, however, were always just beyond his reach. Early in the year 2013, 31 years after his conversion, during his personal time with the Lord, Erich came to understand that Jesus was calling him to lay aside every voice other than His own. This simple understanding lead Erich to abandon not only all the voices of the pastors, writers, and evangelist from his past, but also his own personal concepts of earning God's favor. This personal message from God provided the key which unlocked the door to the sustained peace and joy which had eluded him for so many years. Within the chapters of this book, you will find individual scripture verses which declare our true relationship with Christ. Peace, Joy, all the promises of God, and life itself are our inheritance from our Loving Savior. It is not our chore to obtain right standing before God. Rather, it was Jesus, who, he being God, made himself of no reputation, and took upon himself the form of a servant, becoming obedient to death on the cross, who earned righteousness for all who would have the audacity to believe.

  • - An Historical Survey
    av Bishop Arnold E Josey
    213

The story of Baptists worldwide is not so well known and if known is still often times confusing. Here is an attempt by a son of the Bahamas of the Baptist persuasion to bring information and stabilization to a confusing situation. In this work Bishop Josey takes us back to a time when to be Baptist was taboo and could cost your life or at the least cause your imprisonment. Then there is the question of its genesis. Where did Baptist come from generally and who were its originators? When it comes to the Bahamas did Baptist come from America or England? Is it possible to determine this; If so who were the players? Readers will come to learn some constants of Baptist over the years very much in play today. There is a very real challenge for the modern historian. As a people we have not kept records therefore the information has to be garnered from persons who purport to know. This is good until it is put to the test of others of the times who have their own memories of how it really transpired. With the varying groupings all under the banner of Baptist in the Bahamas it is hoped that this is foundational launch pad for the future. Bishop Arnold Josey was born in New Providence in the Bahamas on June 19th 1954. As a protégé of the late Rev. Dr. R.E. Cooper Sr. he not only learned church, he learned the Baptist Church. Josey would do his schooling in the Bahamas interestingly his high School education would come from a local Catholic High School the St. Augustine's College. He would continue his schooling at The Bahamas Baptist Bible Institute, the FBI Caribbean Police School, Louisiana Baptist College and the New Life School of Theology.

When it is not work clutter limiting our tiring minds, it is clutter at home, in the car and even from family. It's no wonder we sometimes believe that the calm and peace we crave is not attainable anymore due to our busy schedules. Yet with the proper plan of action, we all can clear away the unnecessary clutter in our lives and establish a sense of peace. Author Jennifer Dawson experienced her own battles with a cluttered house, intensified with being a newlywed and her mother's passing. However, she saw her clutter as a purposeful path in her life and became an expert in organization. Her new self-help book, The Clutter Explosion, assists readers in achieving a de-cluttered lifestyle once again with useful tips and principles to apply towards getting to the cause of the "stuff" accumulation. Using her acronym of C.R.A.P. to create a plan of action, Jennifer goes from rooms in the house, to the car, to the office, to people themselves to decide what needs to stay and what should go. The goal, as Jennifer states throughout the book, is to treat organization as an ongoing journey, one that is perfected with practice, time and effort. As the clutter disappears, peace will return and the willingness to stay in control of our environments will become a lifelong goal. Organization cannot be attained in a marathon cleaning session. The only way to truly deal with the clutter explosion is to apply small, incremental changes, and continue to make those changes day by day, step by step. Training for any sport involves regular practice and motivation -- organization is the same.
