Hello, my name is Kara and I am a recovering insane wife of an addict and I am here to use the experience of addiction in my life to help you get through yours, with your marriage intact.Peace. Sanity. Joy. What do these words mean to a woman living life as the spouse of an addict? The words themselves sound angelic almost heavenly, yet they seem so unattainable to me. At least they used to. It took a lot of time, a lot of struggles, and a step by step journey to help me define these words and apply them to my life.Today, I am able to catch sanity. I can hold Peace. And I can feel Joy in all circumstances. Not that I always do, but they are no longer unattainable undefinable words. My husband might not always be sober, but now I am okay even when he is not. I have turned my constant need to fix him into a determined desire to fix my own thoughts, words, and actions that block my ability to live with God''s Peace, Sanity, and Joy.Philippians 4:11-13 "11. Not that I speak from want, for I have learned to be content in whatever circumstances I am. 12. I know how to get along with humble means, and I also know how to live in prosperity; in any and every circumstance I have learned the secret of being filled and going hungry, both of having abundance and suffering need. 13. I can do all things through Him who strengthens me."Peace, joy, and sanity may seem unattainable during the trials, but YOU ARE NOT ALONE. THERE IS HOPE! I am telling you right now that if even one word that I write in this book helps you begin to heal, then all of it every single pain, hurt, killer disappointment is WORTH IT, I can be called Blessed for my life has meaning to use my pain, suffering and healing to help you.

What is it like to have a passionate fire for God; to know He has loved you since before birth and placed in you a specific purpose? It should build excitement to live out faith wherever you are, letting God lead your path. The new devotional book by author Janet Navarro, Fires of First Love, captures those moments of awareness of God''s presence, seeing God as your first love and seeking after the unsearchable riches of Christ. Janet recognizes that readers are always in need of biblical encouragement and provides these well-written devotionals to provide healing from past hurts and deliverance from negative thoughts. The devotionals discuss how God answers prayers in seasons of life and that seeking God''s approval, not others, is living out best. As you grow in humility and obedience to the Lord, you will notice the fires stoked within to proclaim loudly God''s love and grace.

Jan Matsumoto has definitely had her share of a few life-changing challenges. Besides witnessing her son''s death from cancer, she also dealt with an abusive husband and even endured a bout with breast cancer. With all of these trials she faced, it would have been easy to let emotions overcome her and her trust in God dwindle. Yet Jan explains, in her new advice book Overcomers, Not Overcome, that God is our refuge to get over the rough spots in life. He has created us to be overcomers, as Jesus overcame the world with His resurrection, and to trust Him to change challenges into blessings. As Jan began to see her trials through God''s perspective, she saw that the situations were meant for a greater purpose in God''s will. Whether it is forgiveness of others or handling grief for loved ones, God helps us overcome for good.

Ashes in the Attic is a heartwarming book including but not limited to  parenting, and  provides many perspectives and autobiographical content of Mildred L. Buchanan''s  life. She pens, "We are molded by our experiences and by the training we receive from our parents or guardians." Although when we are growing up, we don''t always give them the credit that they deserve nor acknowledge their teachings until much later in our lives. When we see them in our actions and thinking process then we realize the important role they have played in molding our lives and hopefully see the truth in God''s Word that admonishes us train up a child in the way they should go, Pr.22:6.Come join me in the account of my spiritual journey out of the maze of the darkness of sin into the marvelous light of salvation. The purging of Papua New Guinea's National Parliament House from witchcraft and ancestral spirits is not a myth! The carvings on the totem pole and the carved lintels on the outside and inside the Parliament embody real persons. The presence of witchcraft and evil spirits in the Sepik and Samarai Rooms, both located inside the Governor General's mansion and the Parliament House had kept the nation under the dark for years. Speaker Theo Zurenouc's bold move for Parliament restoration was divinely ordered, climaxing in the donation of the original First Edition 1611 King James Bible by a Texas born Indiana businessman, educator, and a powerful preacher, Dr. Gene Hood to PNG for a path to new beginning. With the prospect of PNG declaring itself as a Christian country, the making of history continues with the eschatological expectation. "A fantastic story!" Barbara Hood - New Palestine, Indiana, U.S.A. "A good read...NOT an ordinary history book." - Shalem Poriah, 11th Grade student of Westfield High School, Indiana, U.S.A. Samuel Poriah is Professor of Bible and Theology at Union Bible College, Westfield, Indiana, U.S.A. He is the author of Plumes of Paradise(2003). He also has edited other books. He is a teacher and preacher.

Through the years I have had the joy of reading and watching Tim's plays. I am amazed at his insight into the scriptures as he brings them alive with laughter and tears from the congregation. Our youth and adults have enjoyed acting in them. Though I have seen them many times over the years, I never get tired of seeing them once again. And, I always learn some new nugget of truth.David McLean, Sr. Pastor, Fellowship of Christ Church, Cary, NCThe Inn Keeper's Wife retells the familiar story of Christ's birth with a perfect blend of heart and humor. The characters are ordinary people telling an extraordinary story in such a way that lines from the play have become favorite quotes in our household.Carol and Joe McCoyTim Thomas blends the gift of teaching with the artistry of a playwright. He possesses a wonderful knack for taking the stories and truths of Scripture and retelling them in a way that is accurate, touching, relevant and, at times, hilarious. Over the years, as both an audience member and a participant, I have been encouraged and blessed by his plays. Pastor Gary McGheePlaying the part of the Inn Keeper's wife is a memory I will always cherish. Tim Thomas has a gift of bringing humor and insight into a very familiar story to make it come alive and new for the audience. The humor is combined with a depth of emotion and awe at the birth of the Christ child. I would highly recommend "The Innkeeper's Wife" drama. It has become a Christmas tradition in our congregation!Teresa BowyerMy wife and I played the corresponding lead roles in this drama several years ago. It remains one of the greatest memories of my life. I've seen several adaptations of this play and enjoyed each immensely. It is a clever portrayal of the spirit of the Christmas story that's lighthearted, while reaching the heart of the connection between us and the birth of Savior of all mankind.Mitchell BowyerThe Christmas story comes to life in this creative twist on the traditional narrative. Exciting, charming, and witty, it's a congregation favorite year after year!Lauren BowyerThe Inn Keeper's Wife is a lighthearted comedy that captivates our congregation time and time again. Having played the role of the Inn Keeper's wife, I can say that watching the wonderful script put into action never got old, and there is always a thrill reenacting a Christmas story that truly could have been real! I'm so excited for this drama to be published! Yay!!Katie Bowyer
How many of you have dreams? How many of you have goals or aspirations you would like to achieve? How many of you want to be successful? And how many of you have tried, but have fallen short? I was just like you. I had all these visions and ideas of what I would like to do with my life. And I believed that if I did these things, I would become successful. The only problem was that I didn't even know what success was. But once I understood success and developed a game plan on how to accomplish my dreams, the sky was the limit. When you open this book, you will first discover what success really is. I will break down for you the components necessary for success. I will explain why our society has the wrong view of success and further elaborate on why that is hurting us. Most importantly, I will give you a game plan on how you too can become successful.
This is a heart wrenching story of a woman who missed all the signs; the control she miss-took for love; the secrets she overlooked that set in motion the framework for the isolation, humiliation and domination by an evil man. She had it all and was on her way to accomplishing all her dreams. She then fell in love and married the man she thought was Mr. Right until he showed himself as the Devil in disguise. At the hands of a wolf in sheep's clothing she suffers unspeakable harm and acts of violence. Along the way she will come to find comfort and love from the only good that came from the marriage; her son; kind friends; and the God she will come to know. She will learn the ultimate lesson that physical abuse should never be tolerated; not even for the sake of the children or to save a marriage.
The time is drawing near when we will all have to make a life-changing, life-saving decision. Who will you serve? How will you spend the rest of your life while here on earth? Where will you spend eternity? The author makes a strong case for choosing the Lord, Jesus Christ. Backed by Biblical scriptures and her personal testimony, Patricia A. Murray makes it clear that your refuge is in the bosom of God through His Son, Jesus Christ. Whether you are wavering with uncertainty, have made the decision or want to help someone you love, this book will guide you in the right direction. Don't be left behind, the time is shorter than you think. Patricia A. Murray spent the early, formative years of her life being raised by her grandmother in a Christian home. It was her grandmother who taught her about the love of God and His Son, Jesus, a foundation that was further reinforced by her parents. Retired after a forty year career as a science and biology teacher, Mrs. Murray has dedicated the rest of her life to telling as many people as possible about the love of Jesus. God has blessed Mrs. Murray and her husband Reginald to be married for 52 years. They have been blessed with 7 wonderful children, 24 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren.
Sitting idly fretting...ABOUT YOUR LOSSES CHANGES NOTHING...facing THEM WITH A POSITIVE ATTITUDE CAN CHANGE YOUR LIFE Finding Peace When Your Life Is in Pieces provides a positive, solution-oriented perspective. While there are many books about grief on the market, we often do not find suggestions of how to rethink our experiences as we endure the difficult grief and bereavement process. This book offers positive ways to view those experiences, with the intent that changes in thinking and feeling will benefit your healing process. Dr. HELEN PETERSON and her husband Robert lived in Georgia for over thirty years. Their marriage of forty-three years ended on Christmas Day, 2003, when Bob died after a valiant battle with cancer for over eleven years. She lost her brother in a traumatic accident in 2006, and her second husband--after a year and a half of marriage-- to congestive heart failure in 2009. Dr. Peterson graduated from Wisconsin State University, Columbia University in New York City, and Auburn University. She completed postgraduate studies at Georgia State University. She is a trained Licensed Professional Counselor and a Certified Bereavement Counselor. She trained civilian and military family physicians in short-term counseling. She spent the last twenty-five years of her professional life as a psychological counselor in private practice and as a public speaker. Her writing reflects many struggles she experienced as she lived through her losses. In spite of those losses, or perhaps because of them, Dr. Peterson lives a full and joyful life. She has one son and daughter in law and is the proud "Granny" of six beautiful grandchildren. She is active in her community, participates enthusiastically in her church, spends much time writing, provides talks and seminars nationwide, and has continued her worldwide travels to over thirty countries.
Holy is the Lord God Almighty. "Word Up!" is a daily devotional written by an author while sitting in a Federal Prison in Louisiana and inspired by the Holy Spirit to reach others who need Jesus. The goal is to spread the Gospel of Jesus' love and enlighten those in the grasp of Satan's darkness. My uncle suggested I write my devotionals out and send to my mother, Sue Buzzard in Oklahoma. She would decipher, search Scripture and by the leading of the Holy Spirit rewrote in long hand. After 3 years of prayer and study mom typed the transcript for publishing. About Rodney Long: While incarcerated, I completed the studies for a Masters Degree from Shalom Bible College & Seminary, West Des Moines, Iowa. I received this Sacred Degree of Master of Ministry and awarded the distinction of Magna cum Laude. My certificate of Ordination. I am in good standing with the Commerce Community Church, West Des Moines, Iowa. My Doctorate in July 2015. I plan to carry and share the Word with many upon my release from prison. I have studied teachings on the Word, learned from many ministers on TV; radio and utilized many of the Scriptures and thoughts that they shared in this devotional. Credits: Kenneth Copeland, Greg Laurie, Gregory Dickow, David Jeremiah, Oral Roberts, Billy Graham, Creflo Dollar, Joyce Myer, Charles Capps, Kenneth Hagin, Jack Hayford, Joe Dockery, Charles Stanley and many others during my lock up. Scripture from the King James Version, NKJV, New Spirit Filled Life Bible, American Patriot's Bible, Charles Stanley's Life Principles Bible, and the Amplified Bible. I pray the anointing of the Holy Spirit upon you as you read this devotional, always remember He is Faithful and He is Love. He did come to set the captive free.
It came to her in a vision, a dream where she was in heaven and saw the term, "Amazing Grace". The vision was so clear to author Roseline Turenne that she knew it was a message from God to write a book that conveyed this truth to readers of all faiths. Amazing Grace, Roseline's nonfiction book, is a celebration of the love of God, captured in the way, the truth, and the life of His Son, Jesus Christ. The book focuses on introducing and/or confirming Jesus as personal Savior to readers, while also educating them on their identities in Christ and their roles as Christians in spreading the gospel to all. Roseline discusses the belief that God has a plan for each person's life and that His promises never fail, no matter the obstacles to receive these blessings. A vision turned into a book, all to show favor from God.

Turn The Men of Your Church Into A Band of BrothersIn Got Your Back, Gary Yagel makes a compelling biblical case that God never intended Christian men to fight their spiritual battles alone. With the shoe-leather realism that comes from over thirty years discipling men, Gary supplies the biblical examples, real-life stories, and practical wisdom to inspire the men of your church to forge the brotherhood bonds they need for encouragement and accountability. This ten-week Men's Study is a valuable tool for every church's men's ministry tool box!"PATRICK MORLEY, Founder and Chairman, Man in the Mirror"Sometimes one comes across a book that is so profoundly true and arresting that it changes the way one looks at the world and, more important, how one looks at one's own life. I'm a loner. I could do the monastery thing if they would let me bring my wife. But a long time ago I found out that I simply can't do this by myself and was drug kicking and screaming into community. Now that move (a good one, I've found) has legs. Those "legs" are in Gary Yagel's book, Got Your Back. Read this book and rejoice in its truth. Then give it to every guy you know. We could change the world... but we can't do it alone."STEVE BROWN, Author, Seminary Professor, Founder, Key Life Ministries "What a valuable book! With the patience and care of a soul-surgeon, Gary Yagel cuts through the layers of isolation that have immobilized so many Christian men, and expertly explains the cure. Want to wake up the men in your church? This little book - logical, biblical, spiritual, practical - is a great place to start."NATE LARKIN, Founder, The Samson Society, Author, Samson and the Pirate Monks: Calling Men to Authentic Brotherhood.

EIGHT MONTHS IN PRISON - NO BLANKETS, NO HEAT, NO BED AND ONE MEAL A DAY - WAS THE PUNISHMENT FOR... A TRAITOR TO ISLAM I am absolutely thrilled about Daniel Massieh's new book Traitor. This is a story that reads like it is the book of acts! Daniel has lived the gospel, and experienced in his own life the resurrection power of our savior Jesus Christ. Every believer should read this book for encouragement to share their faith with boldness to our Muslim friends and neighbors. You will love it! Ray Bentley Senior Pastor, Maranatha Chapel Daniel Massieh became a believer in Jesus Christ in 1979 while still living in Egypt. In Traitor, Daniel chronicles God's amazing grace in his life and tells how God led him from a devout Muslim family, with many ties to Egypt's persecuted, labeled a traitor to Islam, and imprisoned under unbelievable harsh conditions. Traitor will inspire you to love Muslims and will give you a deeper understanding of what Muslims believe and how to effectively share Christ with them. Though written with compassion, Traitor answers some critical concern issues: "Does Muhammad have the credentials of a true prophet?" and "What is Islam's heaven like?" A must read for all who want to be vessels of mercy in our present world. Larry Spargimino Southwest Radio Ministries
To be adopted can be a good thing. It affects everyone differently. You are always wondering who you are and whether you did something to cause this. You're always looking for answers. Some people can cope with this better than others. The four siblings are actually blood kin. We are all connected by the same DNA. The oldest sibling had the expectation of having an 1intact family and the possibility of having other siblings to interact with. The next child was born out of state and had never been introduced to the original family. She was adopted almost immediately to a family who already had another child. She had no knowledge or contact with any of us until she was an adult. The third child was born when the eldest was three. He spent time with the original family and foster care. Not much of a relationship was established with the family at that time. The fourth child was born six years apart from the eldest. He stayed with the original family until eighteen months of age when he was adopted as an only child to an older couple. In an old classic, B-Gee's song, "In a Room Full of Strangers," some of the lyrics in particular seem to bring all of the siblings and respective families together after many years of no contact and being reunited about 20 years ago. Each sibling and family brings many years of traditions, needs, likes, dislikes, and hurts, both internal and external, into this room.

Near Evan Roberts' house in Loughor, Wales is the river Llwchwr which the Lord used to teach many lessons about the 1904-1905 Welsh Revival. At low tide all the base things are revealed. We may sense that we are now at a low tide of revival. Good News! The tide is coming back in, and the glory of the Lord is about to be revealed in our time. At high tide, the Sun sets on the opposite shore, and seems to pour fire from Heaven across the entire surface of the Llwchwr. I am crying out for that holy fire of the Lord to fall on us in this season. Now is the time for us to be baptized with the Holy Spirit and the Fire of God! Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened. God can speak to believers anywhere, anytime and at any age; it is up to us to take what He says and show it to the world in our words and actions. As stated in the title of her book of inspirational writings, God Speaks, Jesus Reveals, I Write, author Carroll Ringgold-Perry heard words from God through the Holy Spirit and put pen to paper. The writings blend biblical poetry with advice points from her personal testimony, creating inspirational guidance to help readers overcome difficulties and listen for God at all times. Whether it is forgiveness of self, or others, or encouraging lonely, single women to stay patient waiting for that special man, the diving writings all convey that we have a friend in Jesus and that God is always available. He can prompt prayer for others, bring couples together and incite thankfulness for the blessings He has
Batteries Not Included speaks of God's batteries, which never have to be recharged or recycled because God is the power source behind all situations. People who struggle with their identity settle for less than what God wants for them. Trusting God even when things don't go right. Questioning God. Why does it feel like God has abandoned me? What is right to do in as a Christian? What does God want or expect from me? What is the concept behind worship? Influence is positive or influence is negative. Before forgiving others, forgive yourself. Forgiveness starts in your heart. Loving the unlovable is one of the hardest things Jesus commands. How do I love people I don't like? The work of the Holy Spirit is unique. Don't run from your circumstances. God can win through you.
This book is a cry to the Church of Jesus Christ to experience a wake up call. Time is short! The Church is called to be in a state of preparation and readiness for the return of the Lord. Jesus Christ is returning for a Bride who has made herself ready to meet her Groom. The body of Christ is drowsy or may have already fallen asleep. Sadly, some who think that they are ready to meet Jesus will be mistaken. There will be many who hear those terrifying words, "Truly I tell you, I don't know you" (Matt. 25:12). The Lord is not willing that any should perish. Scripture is very plain, however, that there are those who have confessed Christ with their mouths, but who have not known him in their hearts. They will be sent away into eternal damnation. If this is making you uncomfortable, this may be just the book for you. Please take the warning of the Lord to heart. There are many who have heard the Word of the Lord, but it has not been transformative in their lives. The Lord speaks through a prophetic voice to call the Church to repent, to be wholeheartedly devoted, to avoid deception, to be radically obedient, to live in purity of life, to consume the Word of God, and to harvest souls of the lost. This book is a call for a transformation of the body of Christ. Salvation truly is free, but careful reading of scripture confirms that discipleship should cost the believer a precious price. What gift of discipleship are you bringing to the King?
