Sometimes there's nowhere to run and no one to call. Sometimes you have to be steadfast and find God right where you're standing! Whether that's at school, at home, at work, out on the street, in the desert or down in the dungeon. Psalm 139:8 says, "If I ascend into heaven, THOU art there! If I make my bed in hell, behold THOU art there! God IS wherever you are, if you would just consciously REALIZE and HOLD this truth in your heart! Through prayer, meditation and grace ...all things are possible!
About the Author PASTOR BOB HENRYThis book is the result of my first effort at the art of book writing. God spoke to me about 22 months ago about this book. I didn't know if it was God, or my own mind. So, I did nothing about it. I really did not have any desire to write a book. Then about several months ago, He spoke to me again about this book. Well, this time I said to Him, "Lord I'll do it, but only if you help me. Well, He has helped me. After writing some of the contents of this book, I would read it and wonder ... where in the world did I get all of this information? This huge project surprised me even more. As I write this book I am in my 83rd year on this planet. Until 1972, I lived one hell of a life style ... that is the best way I can explain it. Then, because of my praying mother (and her praying Christian friends), God backed me into a corner where the only way out was up. On August 15th, 1972 at about 8:45 p.m., I reached out to the Lord and He reached down His nail-pierced hand and took hold of mine. From that moment until now, I have not been the same. I declare this: If God never does another thing for me, what He done that night will last through eternity. In my 42 years of being a son of God, and a joint heir with Jesus, I have found out that God's word works ... all of the time! I have been delivered from many distresses in my walk with God. Even to the healing of cancer in my body. Here's the key to successfully using God's word, and walking in victory - - -God's Word is spirit. Yes, even though it may be in the form of a book; it is still spirit. Jesus himself said that very thing. It was written by a Spirit, i.e., the Holy Spirit. Therefore, it only works in the realm of the spirit world. When we get it into our spirit man, then we can take it and make it work for us in this physical world. This even works in our prayer life also. So, I ask you, if you buy this book, please don't let it lie around and gather dust. If you use it, you can be assured that it will work for you.God bless and keep you in His love and grace is my prayer for you.
A neglected cat is found living in an abandoned lumber yard. He had been hit by two cars in one day yet survived. We adopted him and named him Good Boy. He saved my life. Discover how my life of abuse and neglect mirrored his. My neglect led to group homes and foster care; Good Boy's neglect led him to our home. --"Katherine's commitment to the care and welfare of Good Boy was extraordinary. Her love and care were directly responsible for his continued happy life. Over the course of conversations, I came to understand her passion for the well-being of others extended far beyond animals." - Tami Rosich, DVM, Sunrise Blvd. Animal Hospital (Citrus Heights, CA) --"From the beginning of her story, I was moved. Katherine's story shows how great faith plays a part in our survival in these challenging times. Faith can get us through anything! I believe that this was one of the biggest lessons in her work." - Felicia Johnson, Author of "Her" --"Katherine is a dedicated Christian and animal advocate, and tirelessly works to enhance the lives of those who have been impacted by the foster care system. This book aptly portrays her passions, and how they tie together to create a therapeutic environment for those overcoming severe obstacles in life." - Daniel Tiblets, Creator of Foster Leaders Katherine Jones is a resident of Citrus Heights, California. She is a passionate advocate for animals and foster care youth. Her foster care advocacy has garnered recognition from organizations and politicians, including the Foster Children's Day Award, which is nationally celebrated every December 12th and is given to those who dedicate their lives to building awareness for the unique backgrounds of foster youth.

This is an unusually fascinating book. It synthesizes three vital areas of the kingdom - ministry, leadership, and succession into a single craftwork of scholarly quality and excellent narrative skills. In this book, G. Thomas Dowie skillfully explains that ministry is a synergy of a divine call, personal factors, and circumstantial realities. The concept of ministry is expanded beyond the confines of individualized mindset, and its composite nature clarified.Pastor Dowie weaves leadership into the patchwork by tying in two strands of thought. Firstly, he pinpoints the critical challenge of fortifying the leader''s capacity for effective governance. Secondly, leadership is taught as the process of harvesting the potentials of followers and harmonizing their varying interests with the purpose of the organization. In the end, success will be ultimately measured by whether or not the institution outlasts itself through subsequent generations. That is the essence of succession. Ministry is the framework; leadership is the catalyst.    G. Thomas Dowie''s book, The Spirit of the Ministry is thought-provoking, insightful and gripping. Well, this book is intelligently written and it is practical and readable. In the various ministry arenas today, there is a great need for Biblical leadership like never before and this is why pastor Dowie''s book is so relevant and vital.  - KENDELL KAUFFELDT, LIBERIA COUNTRY DIRECTOR SAMARITAN''S PURSE
WILL THERE EVER BE A SOLUTION TO THE MIDDLE EAST CRISIS AND ALL THE PROBLEMS OF HUMANITY?Using the Holy Bible as his foundational source and drawing from historical and theological sources, Dr. Jailal answers the most relevant  questions confronting mankind today, and reveals the guaranteed way for  human beings to live  forever in the perfect world.• Why is humanity experiencing so much suffering?• Why does Israel, a  small nation with 8 million, dominate world news?• Why is Jerusalem fought over by Jews, Christians and Muslims?• Why is Islam seeking to conquer the whole world?• Why is the UN powerless to implement a solution?   • Why are Jews and Christians the victims of continuous persecution?• Are all religions right in their understanding of God?• And who really is God? • When and why will Messiah return? This book unmasks the hidden, sinister power  behind the sin and suffering extant on this earth today, the spiritual forces influencing human governments,  and the reasons for  the world''s hatred of Jews and Christians worldwide. This book investigates the spectrum of human existence from its initiation to its consummation, when YHVH, the One True God, will miraculously intervene to dethrone Satan, the chief enemy of mankind, and establish His Eternal Kingdom. Your eternal destination is at stake! Dr. Lincoln A. Jailal is the founder and pastor of Ambassadors For Christ Ministries, an organization committed to equipping and educating pastors, leaders and people globally with the transforming, unchanging truth. As a pastor and educator since 1982, and a clinical counselor since 1999, he has conducted numerous conferences and seminars in the USA, Caribbean, and many nations in Asia and Africa. His greatest passion is to help humans become rightly reconciled with God, and enter The Kingdom of God.
One day I asked how I got here, then I asked who created mankind. When I was told God created mankind, I asked, "How did God get here?"Years later, I was asked the same question. I said that in the beginning, God created Adam and Eve. When asked who created God, I said, "The Bible says he always exists. Creation is the evidence that God exists." For amusement, man explores the natural world to understand why things exist. Studying nature is the method of learning how he got here. Many cultures have developed creation theories and myths, giving birth to various beliefs that explain the origin of life with the same essential elements. The alternative to religion is evolution and the ancient astronaut theory. Evolution is the idea that we exist without a creator, mutating from primates to an advanced species. The ancient astronaut theory says that we are a crossbreed between alien DNA and primates. The gods of the old creation myths were aliens. Since we are here, should what we believe about our origins matter? If we believe in aliens, it matters because it means that we are not alone in the universe. Perhaps alien technology will help us solve our world problems. Evolution would only matter if we could advance to a stage in which we can alter the natural selection process, expand life, or prevent ourselves from extinction. Other than that, what are the benefits of evolution? If we believe in God, it matters because we believe there is life after death. Religion is the eternal hope for our existence. The heavens declare the work of God without words. The heavens, the earth, and the animals reveal the wisdom and knowledge of God.
General USA Edition: A Topical Proverbs Developmental Moral Study Guide & Workbook, By Patrick Skinner48 Short Topical Chapters for greater character focus & understanding: including the Fruit of the Spirit as seen in ProverbsProverbs 19:8 Holman Christian Standard Bible (HCSB)8 The one who acquires good sense [literally: acquires a heart of wisdom] loves himself; one who safeguards understanding finds success.Reading And Study Plans for 9 months or a year: Excellent for Schools/small groups/personal Daily DevotionsUnderstood culturally and historically, the heaping of burning coals was a positive action and an act of blessing our neighbor.Proverbs 25:21-22 "21If your enemy is hungry, give him food to eat; and if he is thirsty, give him water to drink; for you will heap burning coals on his head, and the Lord will reward you." At the time Proverbs 25:21-22 was written wood fires were burned to keep a house warm. When the fire went out in your home you didn''t have matches to restart the fire. You would go to a neighbor''s home and ask for a burning coal from their fireplace to restart your fire once again. This coal would be placed in a bucket-like structure and carried on your head to your home. The natural action if you hated your neighbor- or viewed them an enemy- would be to refuse burning coals for the buckets they carried on their heads. Heaping burning coals was an act of great kindness and neighborliness. It was not our participating in judging or shaming our neighbor as many seem to assume but an act of love and giving. This book provides a tool to show how topical Proverbs could be of help in bringing character development in all the cultures/nations of the world. How this book is structured: Each topical section gives a pithy or concise definition for the topical moral terms along with an introductory explanation; asks thought questions to prepare the reader for the content; lists the verses to be read and asks questions for the reader to answer with the answers found within the verses; asks the reader to answer the thought question in light of the verses read; gives further verses for the reader to read from within the Bible related to the topic; and asks the reader to apply those topical verses to his or her own life. Before moving to another section a prayer is encouraged for the reader to apply the topic to his or her own spirit.
Jesus said:"I am the way, the truth, and the life.No one comes to the Father except through Me." John 14:6I remember the first time I read this verse. It was back in 1984, sitting in my small apartment. My first thought was, "I already have a way in which I''m going. Is there something wrong with my way?" I was going after the American dream. I thought that was what most people wanted. Deep down inside my spirit, I knew that God was trying to get my attention. I began to see that God was speaking of another way, a way that was much more important than mine. The Lord did get my attention. Before this, spiritual matters were not much a part of my life. At that time I was simply going through the motions from a religious perspective, nothing of real significance for me. But I think the reality of Jesus must have added some value. I then began reading the book of Proverbs, finding this book to be much easier to relate to during my early stages of reading the Bible. I soon ran across another verse which really got my attention:"There is a way that seems right to a man,but its end is the way of death."  Proverbs 14:12God saw this verse as so significant that He put it in His Word twice. It is found written again the exact same way in Proverbs 16:25. This verse eventually let me know that if I would have stayed on the path of my own way, it would have ended in eternal death. I am still allowed to live my life, but now I know that God is in control of it, and where the end of this path that I am on now, will lead me.
I believe there may be nothing on this earth, outside of the Word itself that has the ability to comfort a distressed soul as effectively as a well- written poem. Within its delicately composed lines lies immense power to bring peace and solace to the most shipwrecked heart, while offering a sense of cheer and relief to one caught in the punishing grip of grief. The power to breathe fresh life into the most hopeless of situations in much the same way as an unexpected breeze on a mid-summer''s day. Whether it is the loss of a loved one or the disappointment of a season gone awry, a few lines can restore the rhythmic beating of the most distraught heart. As you allow yourself to become lost within the pages of this book I pray you will find yourself entering into The Holy of Holies, where the welcome lap of your Heavenly Father awaits to hold and soothe even the weariest pilgrim. He promises rest to the weary, comfort to those who mourn, and hope for the hopeless.May this book serve as a reminder to us all that we are not of this world, but merely temporary sojourners on our way to our ultimate, everlasting reward with our Maker, Keeper, and Lover of Our Souls. May God be glorified and the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord be eternally lifted up!

Fortunately for Maddie, God''s voice comes to her just in time to offer the protection she needs. When Maddie meets Frankie she feels an immediate spark. He charms his way past her usual defenses, even though she normally never dates guys who aren''t Christians. She was a miracle at birth, born into a well-to-do family who longed for a daughter to complete their lives. Called Beauty, she was a whimsical child who saw a kingdom in her small town of Promise and herself as a princess warrior defending loved ones. Yet what Beauty treasured most was hearing her beloved father reading to her from his Book of Wisdom and pray regularly to an eternal Presence. This life changed for Beauty, in Deborah Collins'' new Christian novel Beauty and the Presence, when her parents'' were killed in a car accident and her brother disappeared into the military. Alone and sad, Beauty sought love in the wrong arms, primarily in men and materialism, and saw her life fall into the hands of the Evil One. All seemed lost, but the eternal Presence never left Beauty''s side and proved to her she was born for greater purposes.
Considered a righteous man, Joseph''s simple prayer was to know God in a special way.  Never in his wildest imagining did he expect God''s answer; Jesus, God''s Son, the long awaited Messiah was to be born into his home."How am I....;  Who am I to raise the Son of God in my home."There have been many kings and conquerors; many prophets and priests; but only one man has ever been chosen to raise the Son of God in his home.  His name is Joseph.  Details of his life are few and yet what is said tells us a great deal about him.  Left behind him is a legacy we would all aspire to, for the Bible records in Matthew that Joseph was a righteous man.  Accepting the role God gave him he adopted Jesus, somehow finding a way to love him both as a son and as his God.  At the same time he raised his own children with Mary.   Somewhere between the 12th and 30th year of Jesus''s life Joseph''s calling was completed; premature from our perspective on his death, but not God''s.  Jesus would fulfill His purpose and carry away the sin of all mankind.  On that foundation his family would join in helping build the church.  It all took place more than two thousand years ago.  What was Joseph like?  How did it all happen?  It could have been like this.

Do I even know what that is anymore?  Tamara Marcella mother of 12 reminds female readers of the dedicated precision that went into her design. Woman! Built for strength, wisdom, adventure and grace. Marcella will take you on a journey of recalling biblical figures beginning with Eve, that will inspire you to find the uncluttered confident woman that resides within you. Get ready to be motivated to impact the world around you by being the most incredible you, you can be.
Life today makes it nearly impossible to realize your true purpose and plan for your life. However, when you take a biblical perspective toward life, having been redeemed by God, you begin to see your purpose emerge before your eyes. Pastor Rasheda Jackson knows firsthand about the search for one''s purpose in God, chronicling her journey through her advice book, Empowered by His Purpose; When All Things Work Together for Your Good. Rasheda believes everyone is given the potential to dream and achieve more in God than by themselves, empowered by positivity over negativity approach. She proves trials and obstacles you experience can work together for good, recalling her own testimony as proof of this belief. From never knowing her father to being molested as a child to becoming a young, single mother, Rasheda has seen those challenges be used to reveal her purpose and God''s love for her.
This book, although not academic will certainly give the reader a glimpse of prewar Holland and a much more detailed account of the German Occupation, 1940-1945. The author now resides with his wife in Oregon and is a retired Assistant Professor of the University of Oregon.
Jacob''s Leah is the compelling story of a vaulted life, love and legacy glossed over and in most cases totally missed. Until now, light will cast on Leah''s love for her husband Jacob and we will discover the cause and effect of such a love and a whole lot more. Jacob''s relationship with Leah was not by accident or incident. Leah''s story should be seen as a portrait of a type of Christ for the world to see, of God''s relentless undying loving pursuit for all of us in spirit. In the natural, she was a woman like most of us who just wanted to be loved. Leah left us a chronicled diary of her heart''s journey by sharing with us through the naming of her babies. Through them, she tells us the story of her hopes, fears, desperations, sin, repentance, redemption and finally reward. Leah would want the world to know that she was not a victim but a vessel of vindication, victory and valor. In addition, twelve created short "In Her Shoes" stories (to include my own) allows me the opportunity to veer off the main highway of Leah''s story to share the thoughts, hopes, fears, desperations, sin, repentance and redemption of myself and the other created characters, while introducing some to God and chasing others back to Him. It is my sincere hope that as you read, you will be blessed allowing the Holy Spirit of promise to guide you to your ordained destiny in God through Jesus Christ the sacrifice and ultimate lover of your life. Amen
