Dare To Trust His Influence!I believe God''s designed plan for every brother and sister who worshipsHim in Spirit and truth is altogether very important! And though thereIs "no respecter of persons" with our Lord Jesus, there develops a verySpecial bond from "just sitting and waiting in His Presence." And you willnever forget it, I''ll tell you that! And when He calls you by name and beginsto ask you that "all important question" that gets you to opening up to Him,"What''s in your heart?" And you begin to lose all inhibitions and "pour outall that has been troubling you," to the Master, you''ll never forget that time,Ever! It will always be ingrained in your heart for ever. Then when a few yearshave passed, and the day comes, you might have to ask your friend and Savior,"What''s wrong with me Lord?" Then don''t think it "out of the ordinary" whenYou hear Him answer lovingly, "Beloved, think it not strange concerning thefiery trial that is to try you, as though some strange thing happened to you."***But rejoice inasmuch as you are partakers of Christ''s sufferings;that when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also withexceeding joy. 1Peter 4:12-13You just "hold on to all" the Precious Lord have spoken into your heart.Every promise he made you during that season, you will see it come to pass.Just as he did the day he gave you "immutable promises" that you received andbelieved, trust his Word. It will not fail! Gird up the loins of your mind, besober and hope to the end. 1Peter 1:13. Whatever the Holy Spirit has spoken toyou as "obedient children" stay true to "what you heard in prayer." For the Word of the Lord enduresFor ever.As worshippers of God, "in Spirit and in truth," Whose report will youBelieve? Right! We shall believe the report of the Lord. For as the Scripture has said. "He is the chief cornerstone, elect, precious: and he thatBelieveth on him shall not be confounded.1 Peter 2:6 Evangelist Kathy JoyM, lives in North Carolina, is associated with the Love In Action Ministries, Inc which she has served, "with arms wide open" in her own Ministry the past twenty years.

You will follow a portion of my life''s journey as I traveled to reach the full potential God had for me because of being a fatherless daughter. I have allowed myself to be transparent through my circumstances and decisions so that others can see that no matter what life dishes out to you, anyone can overcome obstacles. God has shown a tremendous amount of grace and mercy towards me, and I am appreciative of where He has brought me from and absolutely excited about where He is taking me. I am no longer a victim of my circumstances but one who has overcame by the words of my testimony. I know that as long as I allow God to continue to lead me down the path He would have me go, I can''t go wrong.   Markeida L. Johnson has successfully been married for 21 years and have raised three sons. She has been in ministry for over 20 years and co-pastor a church with her husband since 2002. A Guide to Ethical Codes of Conduct in Society began as a PowerPoint presentation and is now expanded upon and turned into a book, which author Jaime Martinez says is the list of things he would recommend his son to consider when behaving in society.A Guide to Ethical Codes of Conduct in Society is written for young people - as well as seasoned adults - to reflect on the ethics of society. Martinez believes we should draw "double yellow lines" in our lives; that is, limits that we force ourselves to respect and do not pass. Ethics is a subject we should keep alive in our everyday life and set the way for future generations. It is not a subject to bring back to life when tragedy strikes; rather, ethical behavior should be our way of life. Consider this book as an invitation to examine the set of rules that should direct your behavior and create your own code of conduct - something you could even leave for your generations to come. Your best legacy is your character: how would you define it? Jaime Martinez is from Bogota, Colombia, he is a Christian motivational speaker and a finance executive with an MBA from St. Thomas University in Houston, TX. Jaime was a professor at Universidad Javeriana in Colombia and worked in the Oil & Gas and Pharmaceutical sectors. Currently, he is the CEO of an executive search firm. After moving to the United States in 2001, Jaime has dedicated himself to helping people grow personally, professionally and spiritually. His highest desire is to inspire others through his writing.

Matthew 6:19-2119 "Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moths and vermin destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. 20 But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moths and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. 21 For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. What you have in your hands is a collection of topics that each represents a place in God''s heart. Some of them are negative, enemies of Christ that we must rid ourselves of. But most of them are truly treasures in Heaven. This book is a biblical look at each of these values; what they are, where we get them from, and how we get more of each good thing we talk about -or how we win free of the negatives that hold us back in our relationships with God.It is from God that we receive these wonderful  treasures. He created them and He embodies them.  We, however, don''t. Yet God gives us those things. And if we are to obtain more of each virtue we must share with others what the Holy Spirit has shared with us.And through trials and temptations, these virtues are worked, like muscles, so they may grow like interest in a bank account in heaven. This is how we store up for ourselves greater treasures in Heaven. Most of what makes up this book is Bible verses that refer to each subject we talk about. May the journey through them enlighten your heart to the wonderful miracle of Jesus Christ and of the Holy Spirit, and of God the Father, who created such enriching gifts for us who believe.

  • av Garth Kasimu Baker-Fletcher
    221

As Christians of all kinds, how do we deal with issues of believing in God, despite going through staggering pain, suffering, and disability?  Guided by his own experiences of the way in which pain and suffering can become disability, Baker-Fletcher writes from the position of one grounded in his actual crippling experiences of agony. Sometimes we must learn to live with pain and suffering. To help us to reflect on our own disabling experiences he includes a section of theological reflection technically called a "theodicy;" however even that is in the service of helping Christians to live out lives of action and engagement. Some theological reflections try to give us "answers" to explain our pain, but many are just plain dangerous. Actually, we must face the difficult choice of exuding God''s love to everyone, or merely wasting away. We can choose to work toward fulfilling our destiny as called to minister to all kinds of people, or not. We choose not to let overcoming obstacles to overcome us because we cannot help but to be living witnesses of God''s healing love for everyone.  Garth Kasimu Baker-Fletcher is a Harvard Divinity School educated writer, teacher, preacher, and Gospel singer. He has written six previous books on issues as different as dealing with: the transforming power of God''s love for developing in civil rights protestors a sense of "Somebodyness" and dignity; to the controversies surrounding the Million Man March. His thoughts range from consideration of how hateful lives of racists have tried to prevent us from developing a healthy country, and enjoyment of all citizens to share our life''s journeys with each other, Also, he has written moral theories about how one can never choose any important moral action without getting our hands "dirty" by the complexity of life itself. Finally, he has considered how the Bible is the lasting liberating bond of black churches, and the basis for doing liberating ministry. Now, his reflections on disability bring together many of those previous themes as active ways to live out the Christianity we claim to believe. Though we may be blind, deaf, impaired, or multiply-challenged at every turn, Baker-Fletcher holds that God is still calling us to serve the world, and teach ourselves and others how to love.

Eve seemed to have the life others wanted: an established career as professor of science, her own car and a beach house nestled on Tampa Bay. However, Eve found herself questioning her life, concealing desires to be married with children, in the new Christian romance novel by author Christine Potter, Saved by Love. One day, while taking a swim near her house, she is rescued from drowning by a man named Adam, who is revealed to be a strong Christian. Eve, a non-Christian, rejects his witnessing of Christ, but feels drawn to him still. The sharing of their troubled pasts, along with Adam's views of creationism vs. evolution, convinces Eve to consider God's involvement in her life. Adam stands firm in wanting to be equally yoked as Christians in marriage, but by showing the love of Christ to Eve, Adam sees he is going through spiritual changes just like Eve.

I first met Mimi shortly after she received Christ as her Lord and Savior. Mimi, in her short time of knowing Christ, had already learned the value of walking in His presence. She was, in every aspect, a servant of her Lord and knew that to be a great leader one must first be a humble servant. The author of "Pearls" has exquisitely penned this devotional as a study guide so that the most mature Christian or the newest babe in Christ will find a fresh pearl each day. She has mastered the art of diving for pearls and like an artist, places beauty on canvas, it is clear, she has written this book as the Holy Spirit led her heart. My first thought was, "another book on Proverbs which speaks for itself". However, the author has gone beyond the norm and has endeavored to help the broken hearted heal, the saint to draw nearer to God through His word, and the student to see themselves the way in which God sees them.William G. In this current era salvation is generally viewed as an individual experience of members of churches. Believers hear a version of the gospel presented by a spokesperson of God, primarily from evangelists and preachers. The principal goal of the message is to save the sinner from the prospect of an eternal hell and transfer the new believer into the future hope of heavenly everlasting, holy bliss. As for Israel, in this simplified version, salvation does not apply to the nation. After all, the common view is that Israelites forfeited their national future when they rejected the gospel and crucified the Lord of glory. If a Jewish believer is saved today, it is on the basis of acceptance of the common gospel message just like any other person. Accordingly, the common view is that the church is seen as replacing Israel in God's salvation plan by becoming the depository of the truth and the channel of God's grace to the world. This common view does not agree with the Paul's exposition concerning Israel penned in Romans 9, 10 and 11. Let us Chase Truth together and see what Paul does say about Israel, the nation of his heritage.

Making wise decisions, especially those that follow Jesus, can be a difficult task each day, so Dexter offers his inspired model to incite waiting for, and utilizing, spiritual discernment from the Lord. P.L.A.Y. characterizes taking time to pray before decisions, listening for God, acknowledging Him in all circumstances and yielding to God. What is sought most is for readers to choose God in the battle of self-will vs. God''s will and allow the Holy Spirit into their lives. It is not about "playing" the game of life, but about choosing a different form of P.L.A.Y. that will bring both wisdom and blessing from God.

Tell Me Another War Story is about the life and legacy of Evans Garcia, who was born in 1913 in Doña Ana, New Mexico, and who fought in World War II with New Mexico National Guard''s 200th Coast Artillery (AA) in the Philippines. His unit was the first to fire on the enemy in the Pacific and, on April 9, 1942, the last unit to lay their arms down in the Battle of Bataan when they were surrendered, subsequently taken captive as prisoners of war, and forced on the ruthless, inhumane Bataan Death March. The story begins by tracing Evans'' rural upbringing with families who worked in Mesilla Valley''s agricultural fields and farms, and follows him through the war experiences on Bataan, his harrowing near-death hardships as a POW, a hellship voyage, and as a slave laborer in a condemned Japanese coal mine. Through it all, he kept his faith in God, and had a way of finding the silver lining, and often, humor, in the midst of the anguish of war. After the war, Evans returned to New Mexico, worked in Santa Fe with the Selective Service System for 25 years, and poured his energy into veteran activities, always ready and willing to serve his fellow soldier. His daughter, Margaret, listened to and wrote down his war stories for years. Initially, she did not realize the importance of them, but at one point, was inspired to pull her notes together and tell his story. "Dad''s mantra to me was, ''Do everything you can so they don''t forget Bataan,''" Margaret said.  "That was one of my goals in writing this story, and it took me on an unexpected and unforgettable journey that has made my life richer."Margaret lives in Albuquerque with her cat, Tyson.

It was post World War II, and times were hard. The community of Sugar Creek suffered many war casualties. It was now a time of healing for the soldiers who'd returned, and for the families of the ones who never came home. The Bible says: "There's a time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time for war and a time for peace." The time for peace had finally shown up and with it came joy, but not first without weeping. An unassuming air of dignity found its way into the humble Cross-Creek Community of Sugar Creek. It was the one common nobility the farming society chose to embrace. This is a saga about a young girl from that community, whose faith and courage brought change to its inhabitants much like the way rain brings new life to a dry and dying garden. She and her four friends, embark on numerous adventures during the summer between the sixth and seventh grades. For them, it was a year of up close and personal challenges that would bring them face-to-face with many issues present in Southern life. They developed faith, embraced love, and enjoyed childhood. They also endured hardships, experienced the sorrows of death, and found themselves in a position to help solve a murder mystery. All in all, it was their coming-of-age and they sought it with a lot grit and a little Southern Sass.

Written by a former Calvinist, The Choice of a Savior draws from a defining personal struggle with depression and over 175 Scripture references to assess the pitfalls and errors of Calvinism. The author integrates the pursuit of God, disciplined hermeneutics, and depth of thought to untangle a widely professed system of divisive presuppositions. Enjoy cultivating a strong grasp of Christian theology in a step-by-step systematic analysis on such topics as divine favor, predestination and foreknowledge. Although painstakingly thorough, The Choice of a Savior concisely demonstrates that the Bible, when handled appropriately, proves itself consistent and impartial. Lloyd Acree is a former U. S. Marine Corps infantryman. He served honorably for eight years of active duty during Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom. Having accepted Christ as a child, he has been studying the Bible for over fifteen years under the mentorship of pastors, military chaplains, missionaries, elders, family and friends. He currently lives abroad as a security contractor for the U.S. military.
