Why wasn''t she waking up? It was a difficult thought to fathom for seven-year-old "Bobbie", but one she had to face as she watched her mother pass away from a chemical-assisted suicide. This was one of many challenging, and heartbreaking, moments in the early life of author Bobbie Jean McDaniel, captured in her published testimony Triumphs in Faith. Bobbie begins her story sharing events of the last fight between her parents, who had endured a volatile marriage that was tinged with alcohol and, sometimes, violent arguments. After her father stormed out of their apartment, her mother mixed, and drank, a mysterious concoction that gradually ended her life. Despite her best efforts, Bobbie wasn''t able to save her mother and cried out to God for help to bring her back to life. She also longed to hear the simple words of "I love you" said from her mother''s mouth: words that were never spoken to her by her mother and at times from her father, who struggled with alcoholism. Her mother''s suicide set off a chain reaction of events that led to her father''s false imprisonment for her death and Bobbie and her sister Marjorie, "Little Bit", being shuffled between relatives and foster care.  Bobbie continued to seek God''s help during these traumatic times, praying to the One taught to her by her grandmother, Mama Lucy. These early teachings about "the Good Shepard" would leave an eternal mark on Bobbie that would only bloom into a thriving relationship with the Lord in time. Triumphs in Faith recalls in vivid details the various trials the author, her sister and her family endured over the years, but celebrates the presence of God through it all. He was able to make even painful circumstances like these into examples of His glory and love for His children.

-Julian S. Price

Life can cause any woman to tremble in fear of what’s ahead, of what uncertain path she will traverse that could lead to either blessings or hardships. However, author Tikita Peagler desires for women everywhere to realize they are the daughters of Christ, shaped by God to stand firm in faith and unshaken by the trials of life. In her new book, And She Shall Remain… Undisturbed, Tikita offers principles of wisdom to influence women to adopt attitudes of meekness and obedience to God, in order to be ready for the twists and turns of this crazy world. Tikita centers her principles primarily on the story of Sarah, Abraham’s bride who had to travel to an unknown land with her husband, reside within the Pharaoh’s harem for a time and experience pregnancy at an old age. Each situation that Sarah endured, revealed in the book of Genesis, displays qualities of her growing character to be obedient to her husband, thus pleasing God, and meek in spirit. Although she questioned what the purpose of their journey was, and even laughed when God said she would be a mother at ninety, Sarah learned to be steadfast and undisturbed in her circumstances, as she trusted God’s intentions. Women of today can experience that same solidity in faith, despite what is occurring around them, as they read Tikita’s principles and make the choice to depend on God and trust His guidance. Instead of taking selfish, frightful approaches to their situations, Tikita wants women to keep their hearts strong and unafraid in trials and uncertainty. And She Shall Remain…Undisturbed believes in each woman’s heart beats the spirit of a warrior for God, known for her resilience and unmoved nature that is founded on the principles and love of Christ.

"The Peacemakers" is the third book in "The Circuit Rider" series and continues the every day struggles of the ministry of Jesse Lane and Tom McKelroy. This story picks up about 11 years after the close of "The Defenders" and is set mostly in central Texas. Many new characters are introduced and are forced to react to a maturing frontier during the Gilded Age, a time of great prosperity and unplanned economic panic. Violence was still a concern as was survival during the hard times before the turn of the century.  It was also a time that saw the rise of many cults that infected the most spiritually vulnerable, causing hundreds of folks to blindly follow "new messiahs". As with the other novels in the series, "The Peacemakers" contains lots of action, humor, romance, adventure, and suspense.    The central theme emphasizes the faith and courage of the main and minor characters and allows readers to identify with the problems and decisions faced by the Lanes and the McKelroys and their friends in their determination to be a witness in the fictious town of Miller''s Blluff, Texas.  Bill Wood was born and raised in a small town in Texas.  He grew up watching classic Westerns on television during the 1950''s and 1960''s and developed a love for Western stories, art, and culture.  Bro. Bill, as he is known by the folks at Central Baptist Church in Stamford, Texas, taught US history in public and private schools over a period of 31 years in Texas, Louisiana, and California, sometimes while pastoring small Baptist churches. When not preaching or studying or writing, he enjoys visiting antique stores, festivals, and historic places.  This Texas pastor has been known to pick and grin some in church, too."The Peacemakers" is the author''s fourth book to be published through Xulon Press.

There are many challenges we face in life that have simple solutions. Others might take a greater effort, but eventually, we are successful. However, sometimes we experience difficulties that seem beyond our own abilities to overcome. After perhaps years of trying to improve without making any permanent progress, it is easy to feel discouraged and overwhelmed. It is perplexing to us when we observe that in other areas of our lives we are living victoriously. We might be doing very well in business and relationships and appear to everyone that we "have it all together". Yet, in other facets of our lives, we are still experiencing frustration and defeat. As the title of the book implies, in order to overcome the overwhelming, we must have faith in God, but how do we find new faith-a faith that will finally help us move "this" mountain?Jesus said that knowing the truth will set us free. So, first of all, we need to discover what the truth is, especially as it pertains to our overwhelming circumstance. Next, we need to face head-on any thought that is negating the truth or causing us to doubt God''s goodness and His loving grace toward us. Then, we simply allow ourselves to believe that God is who He says He is and that He will do what He says He will do, not allowing anything to prevent us from receiving what He has provided.Set before you in this book is a 40-Day feast of truth that is shared with the objective of setting you free to believe fully in God''s kind intentions toward us and receive the victory Jesus won for us. I hope you will be inspired to take this journey toward rediscovering faith in God so that you will finally overcome the overwhelming.Sincerely in Christ,C. D. Hildebrand

The ages of our lives are like the chapters of a book. Each time span in life tells of places and events that, like chapters in a book, lead us to the next phase until all the chapters finally come to a conclusion. Each age, like a chapter, brings more information and more knowledge and the desire to continue. And even though each age may bring joy or sadness, desires to press on or to give up, never quite desiring to know what the next chapter holds. Many times the last chapter carries a surprise ending. And so does life. Sometimes the negative chapters of a book can cause us to believe that the end will not turn out positive. But as you read each chapter of my life, you will see that not only can a book not be judged by its cover, neither can the end of its contents be judged based on the first chapters of its beginningThe author''s purpose of writing her autobiography was birthed when she remembered a comment that was said to her long ago. At the time, it didn''t seem that significant. Then a revelation began to emerge and she realized that the Lord wanted her to let others know the truth. What was the comment that brought about this book? It was, "I bet you''ve been a Christian all your life." Wanda Byce has written other books that continue to bring honor and glory to God. No greater honor can be bestowed upon God then to receive the love and forgiveness He has made possible through His Son''s finished work at the cross. It is because of that love, Wanda Byce has decided to share her life where all can see that it''s not what we have done, or what has been done to us, but what Jesus Christ has already done for us that determines our lifestyle examples to others. You will have no difficulty after reading this book, deciding whether or not she has been a Christian all her life.

My name is Hayley Grooms, I am twenty-two years old and I truly love the Lord with all my heart. It has taken me a while to understand some things that God has been trying to tell me. It is easy to put other things in our lives in the place of God, but we never realize how dangerous that actually is. This book was written when I was going through a tough time in my life. I had been consistently praying for God to reveal to me what it was that He was wanting me to do, but I just couldn''t ever figure it out. I see now, that the reason I was so blinded to God''s plan for me was because I had so many other things in my life that kept blurring God out of it. God cannot work in our lives if we refuse to make time in our lives for Him. It was a constant battle to get this book written, I felt like Satan put non-stop distractions in my life that I just couldn''t ever get away from. The process of writing this book has not only strengthened my relationship with the Lord, but it has made me much wiser. I realize that God does have an amazing plan for my life, even if I can''t see what it is yet. There is a reason that Satan was fighting me so hard, and I''m determined to find out what that is.

The longer I live the more that I am convinced that God governs in the affairs of man, and that if the American nation could not start without His assistance, its restoration and salvation will fail also.~Dr. John D. DiamondHistory is full of examples of a particular people being subjected to racial, political, economic, moral, and even religious injustice. Injustice results when the government fails to protect the God-given rights of a particular group, or worse yet... it is the government itself, through it policies, laws and rulings that create the social injustice. Too often, the oppressed see their only recourse as to allow themselves to suffer under the injustice or just as wrong, to take the law into their own hands in order to end the injustice. However, leaders throughout history who have had a biblical worldview, understand that neither of these are positions ever lead to the end of the injustice. What then is there left to do? There is a very power biblical option that at time gets lost to history until such a time that it is needed once again. The Children of Israel understood it. The American Founding Fathers understood it. The abolitionists understood it. Even Rev. Martin Luther King understood it. As the American people are once again being subjected to racial, political, economic, moral, and even religious injustice, it is once again time to resurrect this long forgotten principle. It is simply called An Appeal to Heaven: A Cry for Divine Justice.

The Vision from the LORDI was standing on a platform in a huge stadium filled with thousands of young people of every color, race and nationality. The LORD said I was to preach to them the gospel of the LORD Jesus Christ. The devil was there and he told me that teens are naturally rebellious and would not be interested in being confined by Christianity and I would be wasting my time. I said, "No, devil, you are a liar and a thief; they need the LORD and I must tell them."I stepped up to the microphone and said for all to hear, "Jesus loves you and I believe you are worth telling you how you may be set free of sin and have eternal life through faith in Jesus Christ. Do you believe you are worth knowing this? "The entire stadium was totally silent for the longest moment. Then a solitary voice was heard saying, "Yes." -- and then another "Yes." Then another and another and then "Yes." - "Yes."-  "Yes!"- "Yes!" - "Yes!" as the entire stadium exploded with emphatic agreement. The world is that stadium and those who read this book and all who believe in the LORD Jesus Christ are those who the LORD says are worth His dying for them. "Yes, you are worth it!" Jesus welcomes you to enjoy your adventure with Him into eternity. This writer is proud of you. God bless you richly from Brother Bob, graduate of Holmes College of the Bible, Greenville, S.C., with a Bachelor''s degree in Bible and Missions, and 32 years experience teaching weekly teen Bible studies.

As a child growing up, if a relative that lives far away I had not seen for long periods of time; when we did go for a visit they would often comment: "Come closer, let me take a look at you. My how you''ve grown.I believe, whether you write or read a book, or any writings for that matter I pray the reader grows from the experience. Of course, I was physically born first to grow and learn to read and understand. Nicodemus, did not understand the concept of being born again, when Jesus made the statement that he had to be born again by the water and blood. Like Nicodemus, we too might not really understand the concept but Jesus said if we are not born again of the Spirit we cannot see the kingdom of heaven. So, we must be born of water, blood and spirit to grow from the spiritual readings and writings. I have been asked many times to write poems, lyrics, meditations, and skits for engagement parties, weddings, and the list becomes very long. However, I can truly say from this experience, "My, How I''ve grown spiritually."
