Although I don''t remember dreaming of great adventures, when I married Dick Cadd, I married an adventure.  Because my husband wanted us to be a team, he included me (and our children) in his life of adventures. We did become a team. However, my attitude needed to change, and it wasn''t easy! The right attitude can turn a disaster into an adventure and great memory.  It can turn tragedy into triumph, and even change disappointments into fun and real joy. There are many things in life we can not change, but our attitude is a choice.   This is not a book of "Do, Don''t and How To."  It is stories in my life of adventures, and the remarkable results when, with God''s help, I chose the right attitude. My early life would be considered magical. It was filled with family, friends, fun, love--and ice cream. (My dad owned a creamery, with emphasis on ice cream.) I spent the first 17 years of my life in Idaho with my parents, two brothers, and one sister. I attended Pacific College (now George Fox University) in Oregon. After marriage to Dick Cadd, we lived and worked in Idaho, Oregon, California, and spent 33 years in the Philippines. My most important job was wife to Dick and mother to our five children: Carolyn, Jon, Steve, Yvonne, and LuAnne. I have 13 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Other jobs have included teaching school, accompanying Dick''s choirs, producing a weekly television show, mission work, talent coordinator for a movie, and assistant in filming documentaries in many countries. At the present time, I am U.S. Vice President of Sword Productions.  I have written two books with my husband, two books on my own, and numerous articles, scripts, devotionals, and newsletters.

I was born and raised on the beautiful island of Bermuda. I am the mother of a wonderful son, an accountant, Bible teacher, soon-to-be counselor and lover of Jesus. I have also done my best to make the reading light enough as to not bore the reader, but at the same time, detailed enough to keep the reader interested in the outcome. I graduated from Booker T. Washington High School, I am a mother of three and a loving grandmother. My mother was a gifted pianist, my father an anointed singer. My writing began at age sixteen. It was my eighth grade English Teacher, who first noticed my writing potential. I had no idea I would be fifty-seven before my first work would actually publish. Many traumatic experiences delayed my dream of finally becoming a writer. God waited patiently for me to mature and grow spiritually. He has since delivered me from snares which blinded and robbed me of many years. I am truly grateful and amazed at what God has done and is doing in my life. I grew up with a love for gospel music, I sang all over the city of Houston, Texas. In nineteen seventy-nine, I organized a gospel quartet and wrote our theme song. I also wrote songs which I sang in church. For a period I felt trapped in a time capsule, and did not believe I would survive past age forty. Week after week, I attended church, but the words went over my head. I used to think, that God''s promises included everyone except me. After traveling many hard and lonely roads, I finally got here''. I write the words by God''s pattern and design. Pastors, Joel and Victoria, have sucessfully built a bridge of confidence in my life. I am still exploring that bridge today. The possibilities are endless, when we put God first! I thank God, for His love, His faithfulness and His grace. God can use every obstacle as an opportunity to draw us closer to Him, and our lives as a tool to help others, when we put our trust in Him.Vanessa D Lister,Author

Bill Goldner, and his wife Linda, have five fantastic children, and twelve terrific grandchildren.He and his wife live in Disney, Oklahoma.
