"Mothers are ordinary heroes, whose mighty deeds are usually masked by their mundanity. What makes this maternal story special is the weaving together of technological miracles with the miracle of a heart opening up to greater grace, by means of great tragedy and personal limitations."Eric L. JohnsonProfessor of Pastoral Care, The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary"With Of Souls and Snowflakes, Tiffany Childs has given a thoughtful, personal, and inspirational account of a family's desire for children that dramatically illuminates the intersection of the Gospel with the modern world. Situated within the contemporary world of cutting-edge reproductive medical technology, her story is nevertheless an age-old account of how amid the stresses and desires for children, the enduring message of the Gospel remains not only the hope that sustains in the midst of suffering and loss, but also gives the framework for human existence itself. Hers is a story about how the promises of God for his people are the foundation for the house that not only stands firm in the midst of the wind and waves of life, but gives its inhabitants the radical confidence to stand on the rooftop, singing his praises."John D. Koch, Jr. Rector, St. Francis in the Fields, Louisville, KY Tiffany Childs is first and most simply a woman loved by God, which is amazing first and most especially to her. There are few things she enjoys more than engaging an empty page, blank canvas, strong cup of coffee, and really good music (sometimes simultaneously) in the company of her husband Micah and five children, Andrew, Elijah, Isaac, Eliana, and Isabella. Even though she is a native of North Carolina and loves the mountains, she calls Louisville, Kentucky home.

One weekend in the fall of September 2014, I was asked to be one of the panelist speakers at a women's retreat. The topic was Create in Me a Clean Heart: The Lesson focus was on Psalms 51. That Saturday afternoon as we began the panel discussions; as I sat alongside the other panelist listening as each note was read from anonymous writers. It was clear to see that amidst of all the R&R; there were some hurting women there with some real life issues whose hearts needed healing. But little did I know, that, that weekend would be the catalyst for me writing my first book. My intended focus was on King David (only), his public fall from grace and the redemptive power of God's love; But, God had another focus as you will read in the pages of this book. No matter what we have done, God has already did what He did.

  • av Daniel Jerkins
    207,-

Daniel Jerkins was born in Newtonville, New Jersey. He was one of thirteen children. Early in life he learned the values of determination, dedication and discipline. Even though he constantly sought the approval of his father, it was known throughout his family as being very special to his mother. It was his mother's love that allowed him to understand the unconditional love that Jesus Christ has for us all. During his youth, he developed a strong relationship with God. He pursued the love of God passionately until it lead him to his purpose - ministry. By the time he was 15 years old, he preached his first sermon in a local church. Through his young adult life, Daniel dealt with a spiritual tug of war. As he pursued the purpose of the kingdom of God, he fought with the stronghold within his own flesh. Determined to win the war against his flesh and exemplify the word of God in his heart, he has become an evangelist for ordinary people. Daniel has overcome most of the obstacles the Enemy has tried to put in his way. His desire to help others be free and to walk in the direction God has for them makes Daniel truly a grateful man; his gratitude is shown by his genuine love for others. Daniel has served on the board of Love Ministries International and he has been the Chaplain for Father's Artists and Christian Dance Fellowship. Daniel's gentle spirit and humble heart has positioned him to be a part of various ministries that have been geared toward prayer and healing. He served as the Director for the Potter's House Hospital Ministry for over 12 years. He is currently a member of the Prayer Ministry at Trinity Church in Cedar Hill, Texas. Daniel is an entrepreneur, and the owner of Jerkins Services Inc. He and his wife Karla reside in Dallas, Texas.

Everything around her seems more beautiful and important in life than she is to anyone, including herself. During a trip window-shopping, the woman spies a teardrop pearl necklace in a store window. As she envisions the process of making a pearl in an oyster, she questions her self-worth and if something beautiful like a pearl could come from her life. Her answer arrives in the new book by author Helen Baffuto, She is a Pearl of Great Price, as the woman struggles to find what's missing in life. The woman finally cries out to the Lord, asking to be loved and appreciated for her worth. Suddenly, she finds her mind filled with God's words about loving her just the way she is and of Jesus' sacrifice for us. God reveals her worth is greater than rubies and that she is a woman of purpose: an undeniable truth in God's eyes.

  • av Gary Larson
    213

The subject of this book is the apostolic mission of Jesus the Messiah, who was sent into this world by His Heavenly Father and given a commission to liberate humanity from the kingdom of the devil and the evil powers which have been allied with him ever since the fall of Adam. In fulfilling this mission, Jesus pursued an active ministry for over three years. His mission and ministry were focused on the proclamation of a completely new message: the Gospel, or Good News, of the Kingdom of God. Through this message, Jesus announced that God''s Kingdom was breaking into the darkness of this world to liberate the captives of the devil. Moreover, it was a "multimedia presentation" which was announced in words and demonstrated in miraculous works of healing and deliverance through the power of the Holy Spirit. His apostolic mission is especially important to the modern Church because it is also our mission and ministry. Although our Lord was the first to announce the Gospel of the Kingdom, He trained and equipped His apostles to carry on the ministry which He had begun. Moreover, before He ascended to the Father He commissioned His Church to proclaim the Gospel of the Kingdom throughout the entire world. Gary Larson is an itinerant Bible teacher who lives in Columbus, Ohio. He and his wife Maureen have three grown children, three grandchildren, and one great grandchild. Gary''s first career was in astronomy, but God called him into the Gospel ministry over forty years ago. He has taught in a Bible school and pastored two churches. The Apostolic Mission of Jesus the Messiah is his first book.

Molding character into a life was a great goal for this author. Having raised five wonderful sons, Glenda looked at her students'' needs and based their education on practical skills for transitioning to adulthood. Many learned to take responsibility for their own choices. From time to time, Glenda still hears about the fruit of her labors. Her caring extends far beyond these few accounts. She has spent a number of years mentoring students in the public schools, tutoring math students, and teaching God''s word to women in rehab at a local mission. As she enters the decade of her 80''s, new challenges are on the drawing board. Each new day is one that the Lord has made. God''s wisdom will continue to help her touch the lives of others.Carolyn Messmer Glenda was born into a military family stationed in Norfolk, Virginia. When the bombing of Pearl Harbor occurred it changed her life as well as the lives of all Americans. Life with their Dad at sea was the norm as they lived in military towns, eventually moving to Pensacola, Florida. Pensacola was the home of both of her parents and she became surrounded by a large loving family. After graduating from Florida State University, she married and began the life of a military wife. Eventually there were five sons and a lot of ball games, scratched limbs, homework and many good times as they grew up. This was the training needed to look into the lives of young people and give guidance, acceptance, and encouragement in order that they achieve success in life and reach their potential. Today she resides in the family home, volunteering her time to help others wherever she sees a need. Her favorite passage of scripture is Romans 8:28.

Godly Inspirational Love contains rhyming religious poetry that reflects my daily walk with my Lord Jesus. When I see His mighty works and experience His saving grace, He inspires me to write of His compassion, love and redeeming grace. We serve an awesome God who is worthy of our praise and glorification. I strive to glorify, praise and thank Him in all poetry that I write. My ministry to others is writing poetry about our Lord and Savior. I have been writing poetry since childhood and am inspired to write it when at high points or low points in life and especially when I need a special touch from Jesus. My poetry reflects my daily walk with my Savior. It draws me nearer to God during trials and gives me hope and comfort when suffering loss of loved ones and friends. My aim is to glorify God as my Master and Redeemer through my poetry. I hope all who read my poetry will find the same hope, joy and peace as I did when writing it. It is my heartfelt prayer they will also be drawn closer to God and experience His divine love and saving grace. I was born in Pelion, SC on July 12, 1938. I graduated from Pelion High School in 1956 and went to work for a national banking institution. I retired after working for them for 41 years. I live in the country with my husband Jimmie and have two children, a son and a daughter, four grandchildren and three great grandchildren. This is my fifth book of poetry.

Jan Hurst is a widow, mother, and retired executive, who built a business career over 30 very eclectic years in multiple business disciplines. She and her husband, Steve, were married 44 years, the first 24 years following his Air Force career. They had two daughters, who both became accomplished professional women and dedicated wives and mothers. Jan enjoyed her early marriage as a homemaker, until their younger daughter started school. As returning adult students, Jan and Steve both completed college while working and supporting a family. Once Steve retired from the Air Force, Jan began her career, no longer having the interruptions of moving and job hopping. She continued her education to earn an MBA and PhD in Business Administration Management. Jan focused on a personal ministry in business to lead organizations and share management approaches to incorporate Christian values. Having grown up as an Air Force dependent, her passion was to show people that clicks and good ol' boy approaches are not as productive or rewarding. She and her husband were both passionate about helping others and worked to live as they believed. They shared a special respect and admiration for each other up until the day they were parted. Jan is a witness willing to share her faith, love of God, and story. Losing her husband did not diminish her faith. Her faith has strengthened.

Before answering Gods call on Michael's life, he was hopelessly addicted to life destroying drugs for nearly a decade. After entering into a Christian Recovery Center in 2004, Michael encountered the powerful love of Jesus. All of his chains of addiction were finally broken. Following his completion of the program, God called Michael to school, where he met his wife, Amber Thornton. In May of 2012, both Amber and Michael graduated from Regent University. He holds a Masters degree in Public Administration/Non-profit Organizations. During this time, God began to stir in Michael's heart the flames of revival. God quickly opened some amazing doors, and Michael was able to share his story amongst hundreds of different churches and organizations. His testimony was even featured on the 700 Club. Continuing to follow the call for a national and global spiritual awakening, the Lord led Michael to re-dig the ancient wells of revival in North Carolina. Fruit from this assignment has lead to his first book-Fire in the Carolinas: The Lasting Legacy of G.B. Cashwell and A.B. Crumpler. This work has also led to a great hunger and passion to see the Southern United States lead the nation in a global healing revival between the races and churches. Michael and his wife Amber live in Wilmington, North Carolina, with their five children: Jordan, Abby, Briella, Bethany, and Jonah. Michael serves as the director of Ignite Ministries and Outreach Pastor of Global River Church.

This led her to partner with Sky Ranch Christian Camps in 2007 and the development of SkyMoms Ministry with her friend and Sky Ranch CEO, Linda Paulk. Lisa has a unique teaching style, which couples humor and personal stories of raising her own two daughters with biblical insights. Grounded in God's Word, Lisa has a passion for encouraging moms in the day-to-day struggles of parenting preteens and teens."I am not a perfect parent and realize that as long as I am covered in flesh, I will fall short on a daily basis. I have a responsibility to give Him, my husband and my children my very best." Lisa is married to Brad, her husband of almost 30 years, and they are enjoying their empty nest in Frisco, Texas. I had plans. Big plans. I was going to be an accomplished actor or commercial artist. I can't say my plans failed, they just went down a different path and I have been blessed with a wonderful job and four beautiful children, a Godly wife and, as of this writing, seven grandsons. In all the blessings of life, God saw to it to give me great subjects to write about. Fitting writing into my life was an incredible thing in itself. Inspiration would come to me after an event or happening and I just couldn't wait to sit down and allow God to let the words flow through my fingers. I couldn't feel more blessed .I just hope the inspiration I felt when writing these poems would give someone else knowledge that some of the things they are going through, others have felt too... Kids, Love, Faith, Aging Parents, Divorce and others are apart of all of our lives. This is the lighted path that God has given me so far. Let's walk. These poems are available on CD. Many original musical compositions were written for them by Composer Eric Chesher. Search Mark Stracener on I-Tunes.com, Amazon.com or CDBaby.com. • av Reverend Herbert David Parker
    221

Reverend Herbert David Parker was a messenger for Christ for fifty-one years, and a friend to mankind. He was a living testimony that a man of God can be strong and yet still maintain humility. He often let the people know that he was just an instrument, used by God, pointing souls to Christ. His favorite Scripture was, "For I am not ashamed of the Gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek." (Romans 1:16) He stood committed and dedicated to the word of God. Dr. Parker's life was one of dedication and commitment. Seven days of the week, you could find him telling others about the goodness of God, and sharing his life experiences. He was courageous in action and fervent in prayer; he did not alter God's Word. In this modern-day society, he would let us know that the wages of sin is still death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus. As a pastor, he was the epitome of leadership. He always took time to compliment and encourage the little children, as he often did when he acknowledged their accomplishments. He was a man of character, integrity, dignity and honesty. His niece, E. Faye Wright, gave these expressions: "My Uncle Dave was an amazing man. His greatest quality, to me, was how personable he was. He was a very quiet person, yet his very presence spoke volumes. His excitement, when bringing the Word, was like a ripple effect throughout the room. It always left you wanting him to continue on, every time! I am blessed for the times we shared, our talks and laughs."
