This creates deeper intimacy with the Lord. Esther was more than a kind, eloquent queen. She was an intercessor who prayed for the needs of her people. Her praying and bold stand for truth brought salvation to her Jewish people. Hope will be restored knowing the power of God as we approach His throne room through prayer for family, others, plus our nation, "for such a time as this." Cleansing with repentance provides hope to hearts for healing leading to holiness. We see the cultural lifestyle of the history surrounding Esther's time in Jewish history. Everyone will benefit from the exciting qualities, needs, successes, and failings of several men as well as women. We can learn about the love and care needed through a husband and wife relationship. With Haman and his wife Zeresh, we see spiritual warfare and the anti-Christ spirit. God's love and covering is seen through Mordecai with Esther. In contrast, we see the lack of a covering through King Ahasuerus with Vashti. Esther was an overcomer living as an orphan then becoming a queen. Outstanding is her obedience to boldly walk into the throne room of King Ahasuerus, "for such a time as this." At the end of each chapter, questions bring clarity and life application which could easily be used in a Bible study group. Ultimately, Jesus is our King who is the ruler over all the nations and earth. We will have peaceful moments seeing that He indeed has the whole world in His hands. He offers His entire Kingdom. We acquire His Kingdom by receiving His eternal salvation through believing and repenting. He has won the victory for us as a result of His blood shed on the cross of calvary.

"With great joy I highly recommend this book to you. It will encourage and equip you for effectiveness in your preaching." -- Dr. Elbert E. Elliott, BA, MA, MDiv, PhD The greatest need at this crucial hour is to equip a new generation of God-gripped and Spirit-filled expository preachers throughout the world. I am convinced after four decades of preaching that if my preaching is not God-centered (biblical), the temptation is to substitute with man-centered preaching, manipulating the message with pop psychology, extra-biblical revelations, worldview options, opinions of man, gimmickries, dummy shows, and money tricks. Today, with this kind of ministry culture, many preachers have muffled and muted the biblical message to a tragic trend. In contrast, the uniqueness of expository preaching is that the message (textual unit) is maximized and the preacher's pedantry is minimized. In other words, the matter becomes more important than the manner (style). This generation deserves to hear the greatest expository sermons preached under the unction of the Holy Spirit. A serious study of this book will ignite your passion to "Preach the Word" as an imperative from the Almighty God who inspired His Word by the Holy Spirit (2 Timothy 3:16-4:2). Lift up your voice with strength, seek the Lord and His strength, and seek His presence continually. Give thanks to the Lord, call upon His name, make known His deeds among the people, and proclaim that is name alone is exalted. The Lord is the everlasting God, the creator of the ends of the earth. Before Him no god was formed, nor shall there be any after Him. He is the Lord and besides Him there is no savior. He is He who blots out your transgressions for His own sake and He will not remember your sins. He satisfies the longing soul, and the hungry soul He fills with good things. He makes His sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust.. He provides food for those who fear Him, He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds, wealth and riches are in His house. The Lord is gracious and merciful; slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love. The Lord is good to all, and His mercy is over all that he has made, His understanding is beyond measure. He made the earth and created man on it, it was His hands that stretched out the heavens and He commanded all their host. He determines the number of stars; He gives to all of them their names. He covers the heavens with clouds; He prepares rain for the earth; He makes grass grow on the hills. He gives to the beasts their food, His delight is not in the strength of the horse nor His pleasure in the legs of man, but the LORD takes pleasure in those who fear Him, in those who hope in His steadfast love. "Dear Victim, I am sorry. I am sorry you're a fellow traveler on the road from past sexual abuse. I hurt with you, and I am praying for you." Have you ever been betrayed by the very people you entrusted with your life and soul? Growing up in a devoutly Christian family, you would never expect the leader of the flock to be the one to rip away your innocence, but that is just what happened to the author as a fifteen-year-old girl. In Silent No More, she shares her first-hand account of the abuse, the aftermath, and her path to freedom. Her experiences seem unreal, unbelievable, and unfathomable-yet they are completely true. Writing to encourage other victims of sexual abuse to overcome their experiences, The Missionary illustrates the heartbreaking circumstances of her own abuse by her church pastor and how Jesus continues to heal her emotional and spiritual wounds. In addition to her own story, she includes advice aimed at helping others find restoration in God's love: - Advice on the transformation from victim to survivor - Information about sexual abuse by members of clergy - Resources for physical, emotional, and spiritual support You might feel alone and confused, but you are not. You will find freedom and release in the pages of this book as you discover how to be Silent No More. The Missionary is a woman who is passionate about health through speaking and living in truth as defined by the Holy Bible. She is a trailblazer in her outspoken advocacy for sexual abuse survivors, and her ability to reunite them with God. Professionally, she works in the healthcare industry. Personally, she is the mother of two sons.

I know you're wondering why so much emphasis is put on the "Truth". The reason is when a foundation starts with a lie, it must be maintained with lies to keep it from crumbling or cracking. However, if you build a foundation on truth and a lie is uncovered, truth still has the potential and the power to prevail. Although truth may hurt at first for both the one hearing it and the one telling it, telling the truth will make both free. There will be freedom to be truthful and a freedom to trust! Where truthfulness is absent, so is the desire to trust.

The trials in Daniel are amplified. They are exaggerated beyond what the ordinary saint generally faces; and yet they are not beyond what the Church must endure as the age concludes. Daniel tells us that the final trial is beyond anything that has been - "seven times hotter" would be a good equation. When it is all said and done, the Lord will present to Himself a Glorious Church, not having spot or wrinkle. What is often misunderstood about a trial is what the trial is intended to produce. The end product of all trials (to the faithful contestants) is enrichment, promotion, and honor. As the last trial concludes, the saints possess the kingdom. May we be one of them!

The focus of this Devotional Journal is on Jesus Christ as the very heart of God's unfolding plan, providing glimpses of Jesus in every book of the bible from Genesis to Revelation. The prayerful hope is that persons will find this devotional to be an open door of discovery into the awesome wonder of journeying with Jesus through His written revelation. I am happy to commend this unique devotional for its daring scope of highlighting the centrality of Jesus in each of the biblical books. It is no easy task to condense what could easily fill numerous pages into a simple and profound paragraph that encapsulates the Christological thrust of each book. I especially like the fact that, in addition to the devotional reflections, a thoughtful and reflective prayer, reflection questions, and a suggested bible reading plan are included. The other plus is that, unlike a daily devotional that introduces a new reading every day, this weekly devotional affords one the opportunity to revisit a particular reading for the entire week, each day drawing fresh insights from the Holy Spirit. We see her across the room. She looks happy, self-confident, unflappable, and she has an easy laugh. We say to ourselves, "Now, that's how I wish I felt!" She appears to be a woman without a care in the world. We are certain she wouldn't understand the challenges and severe trials we're going through. When we compare ourselves to her, we wish we had her life. However, what we don't know about this woman is that she deals with the same type challenges and trials of life that we do. So what's her secret, we wonder? There's a good chance that she is an empowered Christian woman, who has discovered how to live peacefully and stress-free, which enables her to "look her best, do her best, and be her best." We all want to be like her! We know we can't escape the trials of life; but there's a difference in how we can live and handle them. We can be among those who are only surviving our trials or we can be thriving in the midst of them-and no matter how dire the situation, we can come through even stronger. So, what makes the difference? This book offers that answer in the Bible truth presented and its evidence revealed in stories of biblical characters and contemporary women. It will show you how you can live as an empowered Christian woman, reflecting an image like that 'woman across the room'.Anita Lantz is a public speaker. She has shared her personal testimony and biblical teachings before scores of churches, women's seminars, retreats, organizations, and over Christian radio. He was unsure of his career path, whether a law career or his family's push for the medical field. However, even when Stanley Silverblatt struggled to find his place in medicine, he, unknowingly, endured life's trials with God. This physician author's personal memoir, Angel in The Tree, recalls his more than fifty years as a doctor, from navigating medical school to owning a private medical practice. Stanley, a Princeton graduate, also describes meeting his high school crush when she was his patient: later marrying her and adopting her sons, adding their daughter in their second marriage union. When it came to God, Stanley was more into science than faith, until his daughter's faith and hearing the gospel from evangelist Pat Robertson led to a divine intervention from God. He relied on God to help with his wife's cancer death from acute leukemia, helped by seeing an angel in a tree.

Heaven, hell, the afterlife, and life after death are all discussed. The book addresses faith, belief, acceptance, repentance, and judgment in God's own words. The book studies Judgment Day, God's mercy, and the Good News. Spiritual life after our physical life will either take place in heaven or in hell. Many The doctrine of election has caused much disagreement and division amongst the people of God. Of that elect body of people some believe they were chosen and saved, whilst others disagree. Consider the two statements of belief. God hath chosen some to save God will have all saved. There are two options. Option 1 - both can be wrong.Option 2 - one can be right and the other wrong. One thing is not an option - they both cannot be right. So which is right? This book sets forth simply, soundly and surely the answer to that question. The author of this book on conversion started immediately over against his own house to share the truths that God used to make him wise unto salvation. For 40 yrs he has been engaged in personal evangelism, seeking to warn every man and teach every man that he might present every man perfect in Christ Jesus. It is the desire of this author to convert them that do err from the truth, that they may be blessed to the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.
This story follows a group of people who thought their lives were normal, with the exception of their good friend Peter who is obsessed with Biblical prophecies and saving their souls. Their world becomes abnormal when their friendship circle finds it is targeted and is on the wrong side of the government. They make plans to go off the grid together and live in hiding until they can remedy the situation. However, at the critical hour, plans get altered and one of them doesn't make it.By coincidence, they go into hiding during the predicted seven years of tribulation when a mad man and his evil ally almost take over the world with their combined oratory and military prowess. They begin to realize their friend Peter might not have been so obsessed after all. In fact, their survival depends on if they can accept what Peter believed.

Any faithful Christian must realize that a world dominated by the renewal of heathenism will not forever permit the faithful to worship the Lord peacefully. The pagans of our times will do precisely what the heathens of the past did to the faithful Church. They will get more and more irritated by the values promoted through the Holy Scriptures and will consider them to be the extreme expressions of intolerance. Thus, the Bible believer will either accept to compromise his faith or suffer the consequences of his obedience to the Scriptures. It would be naïve to think that modern society had made so much progress regarding the development of liberty and tolerance that Christians will no longer be persecuted. Anyone who reads the Bible and observes the modern world understands that there is a gathering cloud above the Church that should serve as a warning for all God's servants. The pressure on the Church to compromise is an increasing trend. At some point, there will be great strife and persecution will ensue. Nevertheless, the prospect of upcoming church persecution should not be a cause for fear or panic to any committed servant of God. His old promise to His people stays the same today: "I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee," (Hebrews 13:5). The history of the faithful of the past centuries who went through the furnace of persecution needs to be better known by the Christians of the 21st century. Those are inspiring examples that may strengthen the faith of many believers and prepare them for the time of persecution which shall come upon the Church. Yes, the time comes that whoever kills you will think that he offers service to God. (John 16:2)

For years we have looked at the grace of God as "God's Unmerited Favor". This definition has merit, but have you ever truly thought about how does this definition "apply" to my everyday life. This book goes over some basic truths about grace that will help you get a deeper understanding of how God operates with in the heart. Once we apply some of these basic truth to our hearts. We will begin to truly see the power of grace beyond our conversion experience. That power will transform the individual, bring hope to others, and glorify God.

Ezekiel 36:26 (NKJV) Our hearts are our spiritual centers where thoughts and feelings dwell; they form our characters. Since we are made in God's image, we know that He, too, has a heart. The Bible mentions the word "heart" hundreds of times, but what is it really telling us about the heart of God and how we can grow our own hearts in His truth? In her book It's a Matter of the Heart author Shenita Johnson combines her own personal observations with biblical insight to elaborate on the important role the heart plays in our walk with the Lord. Johnson shares various topics of the heart, including: Cultivating forgiveness Guarding your heart Ensuring a pure heart Following your heart Healing a broken heart Unlocking hearts for a blended family Fixing a hardened heart Taming a rebellious heart Spending time with God and keeping your heart full of His word is our number-one priority. Shenita Johnson builds a guide to the life God has invited us to enjoy. She helps clear away the ambiguity and creates a clear picture of how you can model your heart after the Lord's. God certainly values the state of your heart, so how are you positioning your heart to please Him?

It is a privilege to open the Bible at any time and receive encouragement, pleasure, and instruction. Two years ago, I sat down in a comfortable chair with my coffee cup and my Bible. This had become my special time of fellowship and prayer, and it felt like having coffee with Jesus. After a time of study and prayer, I was quietly mediating on God's Word, when His voice spoke to my spirit. The message was simple. "Why are you not sharing this with others?" Up to that time, FaceBook was just a way to stay in touch with friends and family. Now it is an outlet for ministering to others. The next day, I began a daily devotional called, "Coffee Time with Jesus." The subject matter began to develop in the direction of the importance of learning to understand and discipline our emotions. After discussing this with my daughter, who is a Clinical Social Worker and was a Christian Psychotherapist, she informed me that God had also given her revelations in dreams, specifically in the area of dealing with human emotions. He had revealed to her the effects of negative emotions on the human body, when they are not appropriately processed. Linda has joined me in writing this book. We feel that the book is divinely inspired by the Lord, to help honest seekers find and develop a relationship with Him. Our desire is to help others to find God and to grow in their spiritual walk. Understanding our emotions, gives us insight into how we can discipline ourselves to be in compliance with God's word. Untamed emotions can be identified and regulated, as we begin to demonstrate more of the "fruit" of the Holy Spirit, spoken of in First Corinthians Chapter 13, the Love Chapter.
Is the concept of the Church damaged beyond salvaging? Some debate whether the concept of the "church" as we know it is damaged beyond salvage. My experience and common sense, indicate that everybody, both inside and out of the system, knows the church is meant to be and meant to do. Nearly everyone, both inside and out, also now realize the current organizational form has failed to deliver. Books from the past forty years mostly agree with the public on what is wrong and what it should be based on gospel and apostolic teaching. This is a very valuable common starting point. Yet, none go beyond this point to answer the question, "How to we get from here to there?" It has only been a brief speck of time since the first real reformation with the central concept the church is not the state moved from ideal to our common practice (350 years in Rhode Island, and Providence Plantations colony). It is because this one pillar is in place that now allows us to explore elements and ideals such as believer baptism is membership, personal soul accountability, all priests/nation of priests which will, in God's time, replace old central authority structure. Many subgroup leaders like to claim what they do is disciple making because they know making disciples is required. To be fair, when all were required to belong to official church unit, disciple making appeared to be a done deal. In this new environment, I am very interested to see what form the power God's life-giving Holy Spirit of Truth will take. Every effort has been made to make this book far from the common abstract academic exercise. To avoid "churchy" words and theories and to instead, pack a lot of practical points into a small package. The forty-day format is based on the forty-day preparation Jesus had to begin His great ministry. It also allows readers to focus a small chunk at a time. Please do not just read about it. I hope you will own it, experience it, and live it. - R.E. Chamberlin R.E Chamberlin is a father of four, grandfather of nine so far. Raised Catholic, Confirmation name: Paul. She felt she was good enough for God, having accepted Jesus at age nine and believing she had kept herself free from committing sin. However, as author Marilyn Phillips describes her life story in the new autobiography, A Wild Olive Shoot, she recognizes a drift from Jesus over forty years of her life. Her family''s farming history charted much of Marilyn''s early childhood memories; a carefree childhood spent in the country. However, her spiritual journey truly began as she chased after freedom, starting with an esteemed, though difficult, position as secretary in the Wheaties Sports Federation. Her marriage to a theater actor turned into a union with an unfaithful, abusive husband and a short-lived venture into Scientology. Their divorce pushed her further into new age religions and living a worldly existence, but the call of Jesus still remained in her heart; finally reunited with God again through her Christian husband.
