I am Jim Clark. I attended Tuskegee University and earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Physical Education. I then attended the University of Pennsylvania where I studied to become a Registered Physical Therapist. For 50 years I worked in the Los Angeles California area treating patients who had Strokes, Spastic Cerebral Palsy, and various other medical problems.For several years I worked with Spastic Cerebral Palsy children and noted that the children were not progressing employing routine range of motion and strengthening exercises as I was taught in college. For several years I toyed with several ideas I felt might work to improve the conditions of the children. Nothing at first worked.Then finally one day I came to the conclusion that the myotatic stretch reflex was the main causative factor behind the children''s problem. After employing specific stretching exercises to the trunk and hips I began to observe that the children ascended the developmental scale in more a positive manner. A child was observed flat on his back and unable to roll or sit. In the passing of a number months, the child was able to roll over onto his abdomen, extend his neck, and push up using his arms.Principles employed treating the Spastic Cerebral child was applied to treating stroke patients.Reading and studying the procedures presented in this book you will better understand and become more proficient assisting patients to attain higher functional levels.

Goshen: A Journey of Survival Amidst a God-Ordained Famine is the author's story of a season of loss in her life, and God's plan to provide, protect and preserve His people. She uses the biblical story of Joseph to show how God's power back then, is the same power He will demonstrate in our famine-experiences today.

Rechelle is a girl who grew up in a divided household with a father she never really knew. Her mother acted as both mother and father because her dad was always busy. As she grew up she always felt like she needed a man in her life to fill that empty spot her dad left open in order to make herself happy. She searched and searched finally finding "Mr. Right". There were a few obstacles along the way but they managed to eventually get married and they even had a baby. Rechelle then thought life could not get any better. That is when Rechelle learned where true happiness lies.

David Welter recently retired from the Cedar Falls Community School District in Cedar Falls, Iowa, after serving forty years in education, thirty-seven of which were spent in Cedar Falls. During that time, he taught social studies, has been involved with baseball at the high school, college, and professional levels, while also serving as a Jr. High principal for the past sixteen years. Since retiring, Welter continues to scout for the Atlanta Braves, works as an education consultant, farms, and enjoys precious time with his children and granddaughters. Welter has been inducted into the Iowa High School Baseball Coaches Hall of Fame as well as being named Iowa's Middle Level Principal of the Year in 2013.
