Tim Atchley, pastor principal, Harvest Church, Knoxville, Tennessee, Estados Unidos

College life can be an exciting, and daunting, time in young adults' lives, filled with activities, studying and contemplating career decisions while in college. However, there is also the fear of failure, loneliness and feeling overwhelmed by college that could make this special time a negative experience. After giving fatherly advice to his college-age son, author Stevan Williamson decided to impart his advice to college students everywhere through his new book, Answers for College Students. Stevan has encountered the pressures of college, firsthand and through his son's experiences, so he counsels readers on several areas of college life: relationships in college, handling stress with classwork and navigating college's social waters. His advice stems most from his faith in God, aligning college experiences with scripture advice from the Bible. His hope is that this transition into adulthood for college students will also develop their reliance on God to guide their paths.

"You who hold in hand this book" begins the prologue to Compassing Mars. "This book" tells the story of the seventh mission of humans to Mars, from launch from Earth on May 20, 2027, landing and exploring Mars, and returning to Earth on August 12, 2028. The mission has definite scientific and astronomic purposes. In addition, as expressed by one of the seven members of the crew, "We go to Mars for our souls as much as for science." Compassing Mars exists in "an interface of past, present and future," as the members of the crew draw from wisdom of the Bible, literary works of the past, and 70 years of space exploration, and as they question what treasures they bring from Mars back to Earth. "This book" adopts the Old English pattern of stresses and alliteration, since poetry imposes discipline, provides patterns, provokes imagination, and unites individual viewpoints. The prologue ends - "Be conscious, be generous, be kind, be grateful."

Does your to-do list seem never-ending, or time with God lessened by other obligations on yourmind? You''re not alone in feeling life is only getting busier each year. Claiming to be prone tobusyness, author Ginger Levi felt the Holy Spirit telling her to rest in God''s arms, but Gingerwasn''t sure how to trade stress for rest. In her new book, Rest; Your Place of Victory, Gingersought the Bible and quiet time with God to discover that distraction is a tactic of Satan toprevent needed rest and yielding our lives to God. She encourages readers to first trust Godabove all else by accepting His invitation to come empty to be filled; then put aside life''sdemands to stay connected to the Bible and find comforting rest in the Savior. As we abide inJesus, we actively wait and rest in God, removed from life''s obligations.

As we experience everyday life we are surrounded by things and situations that we see as normal. Some things such as when we clean our closets, take a shower or even wash our feet, can be used as metaphors to teach a valuable lesson. In the bible Matthew 13:13 in the amplified version Jesus said "This is the reason that I speak to them in parables: because having the power of seeing, they do not see; and having the power of hearing, they do not hear, nor do they grasp and understand."  In this book I chose to share a few parables that God showed me in my everyday life. I believe that through these parables, it will cause you to look at life as though it is a deliberate attempt for God to teach you a valuable lesson. I am blessed to be able to share my thoughts with the world. I have been married for 36 years to a retired Warrant Officer of the United States Army. I am the mother of 3 sons and have 2 grandchildren.I am an Evangelist Missionary and a Pastor''s wife.

Little girls growing up are asked the question what they want to be when they grow up. A variety of answers flows through the mind of a child.  Depending on the family in which they grew up, some may answer, "married with children, big house and lots of money". Sometimes as mothers, we don''t share the ugly of the world wit our young girls, so they are not prepared. As adults we get confronted with abuse, poverty, grief and health issues. These issues are normally not addressed in our conversations with our mothers. However we must understand that we have a God that will always be there to lead the way. This book shares a few things that I have learned along the way that I wish I could have asked my mother and how God helped me to understand through his word. I have been married to John R. Quarles, Jr. for 36 years and am the mother of 3 sons (John, Marcus and Shaughn). I am the Pastor''s Wife of Greater New Hope Church of God in Christ, Fairbanks, Alaska. I serve as Church Mother to teach, inspire and encourage women of all ages and stages of life.

I don''t know.I can''t quite put my finger on it.I''m not sure when I realized that girls were born to be both lovely and fierce.I''m not sure when I realized this truth, but that does not change the fact that I have witnessed it for as long as I have lived.I witnessed it in my Grandma Bengs as she woke up before everyone else to clean and make breakfast in nylons and a lovely handmade skirt.  Never a complaint, only hard work done with such grace and elegance that she made it look easy.I witnessed it in my Grandma Averson as she competed relentlessly against all of us in Yahtzee at our kitchen table from the time she woke up in the morning until Lawrence Welk came on at 6:00.  I witnessed it in my mom as she sang soft lullabies to put me to sleep after she won the doubles championship in the city tennis tournament.I witnessed it in my friends as I watched tears stream down their face following a heart break, only to watch them wipe those tears away after a time of mending and bravely open their hearts to love, hope, and dream again.I witness it in the young ladies I coach as they challenge their teammate to do more; push harder at practice and then celebrate that same teammate''s success during games.I witness it in myself because I am a girl; a girl who loves to wear pretty dresses and run through the mud; a girl who wants to dance gracefully across a dance floor into the arms of a man who loves her and then score on him using my drop step in the driveway; a girl who feels deeply and fights hard; a girl who sparkles one minute and then scratches and claws the next.  I am a girl just like you. This book is for us.

Making disciples matters to God and should matter to the church and every Christ follower. This book proposes to deal with the necessity of making disciples and how to disciple a new or young Christ follower. In America, I believe this is a key issue for us to address. I have heard many people in the church say, "I was converted, but never discipled." I will be encouraging, exhorting, and urging you to return in your personal life and in the church to disciple making. I will give you some helps through what I call a Triple Threat Discipleship model using three key verses as the basis for this book: 2 Timothy 2:2; Matthew 28:18-20; 1 Timothy 4:7-8. In this book, I will make clear the necessity of following the command in Matthew 28:19 to make disciples. "Go, baptize, and teach" all support the command of making disciples. In the churches I have been in over the years, they do a fairly good job at winning the lost to the Lord Jesus and baptizing them, but they have not done a good job at teaching them how live out this newfound faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. - Brad Ball If you are looking for an accessible nuts-and-bolts strategy for making disciples, either personally or in the context of your local congregation, then Triple Threat Discipleship is for you. I highly recommend it. - Dr. Ken Easley Professor of Biblical Studies and Director of Graduate Programs, School of Theology and Missions, Germantown Regional Campus, Union University, Pastor, McLean Baptist Church, Memphis Being introduced to true Discipleship by Dr. Ball has had a tremendously positive influence on my walk with Christ. My faith has never gone through a more transforming and inspiring process. Being a part of his D-Group opened my eyes to a completely new lifestyle of remaining in God's word, committing scripture to memory, and living daily in a spirit of prayer. - Jason B. Page, church member, age 41 Aside from salvation, joining a D-group with Dr. Ball has been the greatest thing to happen to my life! If you honestly and truly go in seeking God's will then it will change your life in every aspect. - Caleb Wilson, church member, age 26 Brad Ball received his Doctor of Ministry degree in Expository Preaching at Union University in Jackson, TN, and now is currently the Senior Pastor of Bethsaida Baptist Church in Dublin, GA. Brad has pastored and served at churches in Tennessee, Mississippi, and Florida for twenty-five years. He is the founder of Triple Threat Discipleship, which is a blog and teaching ministry focused on making disciples. Brad is passionate about preaching the gospel and the Word of God and making disciples who make disciples. Brad and his wife, Janice have been married for twenty-five years. Janice is a disciple maker and very much involved in the ministry at Bethsaida.

Everyone will have a death of Lazarus experience; no one is exempt. A death of Lazarus experience represents an experience that''s unimaginable. Jesus loved Lazarus and would surely be there for him. After all, he healed strangers, hadn''t he? Yet, He let Lazarus die. Why? Aren''t believers to experience a life of love, peace, joy and victory? Why does God allow these situations in our lives if He loves us?  We simply can''t wrap our minds around them. It seems more than we can bear. Some Christians don''t make it through "the weeping of the night," to experience the joy that comes in the morning!  What we really believe about God and ourselves will be revealed during times of trial. The challenge is not simply to get through the test but about our attitudes during the process. Our faith is always on trial and as Christians, we represent our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  God''s Glory is to be our ultimate goal. The question is, how do we do it? The author shares relevant insights on how to deal with life''s most difficult challenges through personal life experiences; for he knows that peace is not the absence of trouble, but the presence of Christ in its midst.

Two men, both followers of Jesus Christ, met in an unlikely way in the fall of 2002. Even though their time spent together in that specific workplace environment was brief, God planted a special seed in each of their hearts. While the Lord's leading then had them almost 3,000 miles apart for almost 2 years, they collaborated over the internet to write this book and initially made it available in its entirety on the Glory Stealer website. A book that has been written on their hearts as they have lived most of their lives as glory hounds. They have decided to document many of these thoughts, hurts, and painful lessons in a book that by His grace will bring Him the glory only He deserves, and will minister to other glory stealers all over the world. Having been read and enjoyed by thousands around the world since its original posting in 2008 we hope you will be challenged, encouraged, and blessed by this updated version now available in print.

FAITH EXPECTS MUCH! Every word in FAITH MATTERS, Standing on the Threshold of Expectation is the truth of God's deep desire to be in relationship with us! These pages reveal Judith Butler's testament to the willingness of God to pull us UP and OUT of any situation. The 1980's was a decade of shattered dreams and financial calamity for farmers across this land. People lost faith in God, in the land, and in each other while Judy's own life spiraled downward from a difficult and painful divorce. Barely able to remember the peaceful years of fellowship with Christian friends, church, and Bible studies, depression ran it's coarse. Emerging from her own point of despair meant setting her face like flint against the rulers of darkness-engaging in spiritual warfare as never before! Thus began her ascent through layers of forgiveness and an unrelenting search into God's Word-unlocking what it means to co-labor with Him through His Holy Spirit. Within each chapter, Butler demonstrates that the Word of God is Truth- Powerful Truth beyond all understanding-and it accomplishes much in the lives of Believers. It is His will to make our feet like hind's feet-stabilizing us-until we open our eyes to the realization that He has already rescued us and given us Victory through spiritual warfare strategies as He carries us to the very mountaintops of healing, restoration, and happiness!

Anointed and Anointing: two terms that are significant elements in the Christian faith and your relationship with God. However, understanding the difference between anointed and anointing can assist you in discovering your purpose in life. Bishop Otis Kenner dives into this area of Christian development in his new book, The Anointed Anointing.
