Many parents lose a child or children prematurely. Most are certain they should or will not depart from this earth before their children. I have gleaned and found so much comfort from others. I am so grateful for their testimonies. We are not alone in any situation or trial God allows in our lives. We are also His instruments in caring for one another, as He cares for us all.  Many children lose parents at a very early age.  They live searching for answers, not always finding them.It is my prayer that this book will bring comfort, relief from guilt and anxiety where needed, and hope for a more peaceful and contented future.  May it be in this life on earth and a continuation in heaven through Jesus Christ, Our Savior.Elizabeth R. For more than three decades a group of people from the First Christian Reformed Church of Seattle has come together to pray, eat, and the study the Bible. They made their own lessons. The discussion would go deep but then be relieved by a humorous twist that restored perspective. This book is a collection of questions and comments made  in the study of the book of Matthew. The questions were most useful if studied before the meeting but-we must confess-we often saw the questions for the first time during the meeting. The questions and comments were compiled by Johanna van Belle. We had to think of a name for the group and came up with SAMOBISTUS (Saturday Morning Bible Students); the name coined at the time that the Sandinistas were active in Central America. Johanna van Belle was born and raised in the Netherlands. She immigrated to Canada in 1958 with her family. She completed two years of medical school at the University of Groningen, completing her medical education at the University of Toronto where she earned her M.D. degree. She practiced college medicine for more that 35 years  at Florida State University, Tallahassee and at the University of Washington, Seattle. She currently volunteers at the Puget Sound Christian Clinic in Seattle which serves without charge people who have no medical insurance. She and her husband make their home in Seattle, WA where they have raised five children. She immensely and gratefully enjoys the gift of twelve grown, and growing grandchildren. This is her second book with Xulon Press. Her first book, Coram Deo: Before the Face of God appeared in 2009. This book describes the history of her parents as they moved from the Netherlands to Canada. It documents the struggle to remain orthodox in a rapidly changing religious climate. It also gives a glimpse of the many issues faced by an immigrant family when leaving family and homeland behind, entering a new community, interacting with a different culture, and learning a second language. The book celebrates God''s providence, his mercy, and grace for those who love Him.All royalties from the book go to Shoreline Christian School in Shoreline, WA (www.shorelinechristian.org).

Have you ever wondered why there is no progress, no peace and no joy in your life and maybe in your family? Why wherever the soles of your feet touch, you possessed curses instead of blessings; and why is it that anything you touched brought a curse instead of blessings? Think about it. BORN INTO IDOLATRY BONDAGE is one of the major destroyers of the foundation of the lives of many people. It leads to spiritual imprisonment, torments and slavery by birth through generational inheritance. It is a curse that stands as a spiritual epidemic. When we talk of bondage we are talking about a spirit that bounds someone and subjects that person to some external forces, power and control. It can spiritually restrain you, tie you up, chain, or put you in handcuffs by unknown evil forces. We see in the Bible that spiritual bondage does not mean you are being held physically captive. It is more than that. It is any area of your life where you come into agreement with the enemy's lie that is in direct opposition to God's Word. In so doing, you give the demon legal access and an open invitation to come in to control, torment and finally kill you. DR. CYRIL NWOZOR is a Church planter. In 2008 he was the Founder of New Covenant Revealed Ministries, Lagos Nigeria. Today he is the Founder/Senior Pastor of Power of Praise Church International, a non-denominational Church located at Enugu, Nigeria. For over a decades he has proclaimed the word of God all over the world mainly in villages and rural area. He provides spiritual leadership, covering and inspirations to many Pastors within and outside his ministry. Dr. Cyril and his wife Deborah Ify Nwozor (Co-pastor, POPCI) by the will of God, according to the promise of life which is in Christ Jesus, share the vision in taking the gospel in rural areas of the world, walking by faith and in love, empowering, unifying and encouraging believers to be active in advancing the kingdom of God. "In that hour Jesus rejoiced in spirit, and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes: even so, Father; for so it seemed good in thy sight."(Luke 10:21). Grace, joy and peace, from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ be unto you.

In Janice Sanders'' life, she experienced several moments of asking "why am I here?" She was just a freckled-face redhead kid that believed in God but wasn''t sure what His purpose was for her. Janice reveals in her published Christian testimonial, Going Through the Door and Finding Miracles the various ways God manifested in her life, especially in miracles from God and in opportunities to hear and obey His voice. Janice''s life started out uncertain in the beginning, after the death of her birth mother when she was very young and her father''s remarriage. She moved on to marry, and divorce, an Army man, remarry and become a stepmother, and raise her two sons and an adopted daughter. Yet the biggest change occurred when Janice realized that God opened doors and performed miracles in her life, from birth to adulthood, forgiving her abortion and starting her new life in Christ.

Jonah and the Great Fish was written for young readers aged nine years old and above who love adventure and Bible stories that capture their interest and imagination. This adaptation of the biblical account is without distortion of its truth and follows the sequence of events accurately. The author dramatizes the story with a perception of Jonah that is enhanced when his character reveals his anger, his arrogance, his sin, his fear, his remorse and other emotions through his thoughts that are dramatically shared with the reader. The action is intensified with frantic dialogue between Jonah and the captain and the seamen, and then softened with the moving child-like prayer to his God.The illustrations heighten the drama with brilliant color and dynamic art that contributes vividly to the adventure of Jonah, the angry prophet, and the great fish.

Katharine Hunter was born Katharine King in a town called Calion, AR, a little town about 107 miles from Little Rock. She is the oldest of six children. Her cooking experience came from her Great Grandmother Annie. She started to learn how to cook at the age of five, she had to stand on a Ms Tucker lard bucket to reach the counters and stove. She love to cook with her Grandmother. She taught her to cook a different variety of food, such as green beans, hot water cornbread. But her specialty was teacakes. Katharine dropped out of school to get married at the age of 16. At 18 she bore her first son then her second son was born two years later. She and her husband moved to Little Rock to try and better their lives. They then separated and divorced two years later after 15 years of marriage. Katharine went to raise her two sons on her own. She remarried and have another son. After her second marriage ended Katharine kept to herself she started cooking for the neighborhood children. After the passing of her oldest son in 1993 she threw herself into baking and selling cookies. People started coming over to buy plates and she continued to do this for a very long time. Then one day she baked up a big batch of cookies. After passing them out people started putting in orders, that's when she decided to start her own bake shop from home 'Ms Kays Cookies". Everyone would give her their favorite recipe and she would cook it up for them however the profits were not enough to keep the business afloat so she had to close shop. At the age of 60, she went back to school and got her GED. She also went to college at Pulaski Tech and did a semester at UALR. She went on to become a substitute teacher for little Rock School District. She is still very interested in sharing her recipes with the world so that this is why she decided to make this book of recipes. It has been a long time coming but with determination she is able to share all she has learned so that people can bring these mouthwatering recipes into homes everywhere. Enjoy
