David was an energetic man since birth, musically gifted and with a thriving career and family life. However, this all changed when he suffered a traumatic brain injury after an off-road vehicle accident in Florida and had to adjust to a new version of himself. He wasn't the only one to change; his mother, Marjorie Appleby, recounts the life-altering experiences of David's family in her caregiver journaling turned survival health guide, Raising David, Again. Marjorie's journal entries during David's hospitalization and rehabilitation present advice keys for recovery for brain injury survivors and caregivers to use during the process of recovery. David's left brain damage not only meant re-learning basic motor skills, but also changed behavior after injury, as Marjorie and David's father Dave cared for a different David. However, Raising David, Again describes God's purposes for injury and how their faith in God kept them going in the darkest hours.

God wants women to have strong, fulfilling female friendships. Genuine connections among friends can alleviate stress, heal traumas, and bolster confidence. Our Friends allow us to feel heard, valued, accepted, and loved - but how do we allow those lasting relationships to sprout in today's fast-paced culture? Everyone has experienced disappointment, fear, and rejection as a result of wilted friendships, but it doesn't have to be that way.
We're all looking for a comfortable place to call home, but in reality, Jesus sent His Holy Spirit to be at home in each of us. Robert Salamon's The Way Home may be a journey home for you, too. The Comforter is looking for a place within you to call home as well. Robert shows the reader how he derives an understanding of God's presence from reflecting on his experiences in a way readers will identify with. They, too, will learn that through a relationship with the one true God, who relates to us with healing, patience, and love, we see our needs met because we trusted in one we became familiar with, the one who becomes real through this wonderful relationship. Trust the testimony of the writer to lead you to the same home address, the heart of God. Take for yourself the reader's pathway home and you, too, will find the Spirt of the living God knocking at your door, gently asking to come in and dwell.
She climbs the highest of mountains; the mountain of destiny and purpose; a vision seen, a vision born, and a vision in the process of being fulfilled. We walk with her through the excitement of receiving a vision and we watch as it is formed, takes birth, and grows. She names the vision "Operation Dignity," because here is a woman that not only has found her own dignity and purpose, but has a passion to help all those around her find it too. Certainly the greatest miracle in this book is that a woman with such tragic beginnings has found her own dignity and purpose. She has found it in herself and in her husband. In that dimension, we all need to follow you, Sister Dee to the mountain top of purpose. God speed to you, and may you always continue to be the great person God has made you. May your wings of faith take you to greater heights and greater depths as we discover with you who you are, and through you, who we really are and what God has promised to do through us. Let's read together to find true passion and purpose.

However, Elizabeth believed God does the impossible and visited several doctors and specialists to learn solutions for her condition, while holding onto God in the trials. Elizabeth witnessed in hardships to never say never with God.
This book reveals how Israel's expectations of a Militaristic Messiah to fight the occupation of the Roman Empire turned out to be God's choice of a Spiritual Messiah through Jesus Christ who was to bring forgiveness, reconciliation and universal salvation. Mary's pregnancy was revealed by Angel Gabriel from God. He preached, healed, taught his followers about his mission on earth on God's love to mankind. His mission was opposed by Jewish officials who he overshadowed on influence and popularity. Jesus overcame the devil and those opposed to him. He ended his ministry in Jerusalem during Passover Celebration when human race Passed Over sins to him to die for them universally to liberate them from the bondage of sins which brought death. He rested on Sabbath in the tomb and resurrected Sunday which assured the human race the everlasting life because he conquered the devil's armory. This book shows God's love to mankind through Jesus Christ and the hope demonstrated by associating with all kinds of people unlike Jewish officials.
He joined the army at sixteen because he wanted to help out his family; what he received in return was training to not only fight physical wars, but also spiritual wars against the enemy. Author Charlie Williams describes his life story in his new testimony, A Soldier's Story: born and raised in Miami, his mother raised her children singlehandedly until he joined the army at sixteen. While in the army, he experienced racism as a black soldier, but still continued his service and later joining the Army Reserve. Battling anger issues and uncertain about the future, Charlie began encountering signs from God and even spoke in tongues after being saved. He felt called to preach soon after and obeyed the Lord's promptings to do mission work in Key West and be a church overseer for several Miamibased churches. He also survived accidents and illness: all credited as miracles from God.

"You will never have a friend!" "Never trust anyone!" "Every time you open your mouth you say something stupid!" "You're ugly!" Growing up with these statements constantly said every day, just reinforced that there was nothing to look forward to. I looked forward to school for a couple reasons. One to be away from home and the other was because a teacher may smile or say good job. There weren't many smiles at home. If dad was away my mom would smile or chuckle at times. But mostly I remember her upset about something dad did or worrying because it was time for him to come home from a long distance haul. We never understood everything she went through as his spouse and our mother. As I got older, I realized that she was our protector. She did everything she knew how to do to keep us safe and out of his way. Unfortunately, she was not as successful as she hoped she was. We still grew up with total negativity drilled into every molecule of our body. I am not sure that what she put herself through "for the Kids" was worth her efforts and eventually her life. One of the worst nightmare statements that I heard (and no child should ever have to live with) is this: "I am only staying here because of the kids!" "If we didn't have these kids, I would be gone!"
This book was written after one of Doris Clark's students in her Joy Class asked for a prayer book that she could use at home for her devotionals. The quest to find one that was appropriate proved to be an impossible task. The scriptures were too long and complicated with too many thoughts and ideas on each page. The print was too small and the words were too difficult to understand. She decided to write her own book designed for the needs of her students. SIMPLY FAITH HOPE & LOVE is the result. This book is for adults with intellectual disabilities, both readers and non-readers, as well as older adults with cognitive problems, and for young readers. It is written on a third grade level. It is a wonderful gift for a special friend. Doris C. Clark began her first Joy Class at First Presbyterian Church in Austin in 1989. She is an educator, writer and consultant for development of classes for adults with intellectual disabilities in churches throughout the country and as far away as The Ukraine. She lives with her son, Tim, who has Down Syndrome, in the DFW area of Texas. They are members of White's Chapel United Methodist Church in Southlake. Mrs. Clark has served on the boards of Mental Health/Mental Retardation of Texoma and on Evergreen Life Services Board of Directors and Foundation Board. "Imagine......... ........while.....standing out of doors you see a string, directly in front of you, tightly stretched at eye level. Both to the left and to the right that string extends out into the atmosphere, through this planetary system and out of the universe. It just keeps going. It possesses no curvature which would eventually result in the ends of that string rejoining at some point. It is, instead, absolutely straight and it appears to come and go forever. Directly in front of you on that string is a tiny dot. You almost need a magnifying glass to see it. Imagine that this dot represents our current paradigm...our matter, energy, space and time setup....containing all the rules of function and existence within the known universe. As far as you can perceive, it's everything that is. Picture an arrow pointing to that little dot and next to that arrow you read "YOU ARE HERE."
I truly believe that these poems were given to me to share with others, and to help people whom I think may have had similar issues and questions about their own lives. Poetry is an expressive way for me to communicate deep feelings and thoughts to others. It is also a way to express the frailties and weaknesses that all people have but do not like to admit, and yet, we are constantly trying to overcome them with our own strength. There is comfort in knowing that through all the battles we go through in life, and within ourselves, we are given strength to overcome through Jesus Christ. We have a spiritual enemy called Satan who wants to destroy us, yet many do not believe or know he exists. We also have Someone who protects us through the attacks of the enemy and fights our battles for us. Ephesians 6:12 (NLT) states: "For we are not fighting against flesh and blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places." It is my belief that these poems will go out and touch people all over the world no matter what their religion, race, or creed may be. Jesus Himself said to us: "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every living creature." Mark 16:15. These poems are part of my story, and sharing them is my way to follow His command. Jesus Christ is my Savior and my answer, and I know He is your answer too! Dr. Miletello graduated 1995 at Texas Chiropractic College. He is from Monroe Louisiana. This book is also dedicated to his parents who are with the Lord, Mitchell and Virginia Miletello.

In today's difficult time when we seem to be losing everything, have we lost God too? A sunrise...Are thoughts from yesterday bringing you down? A daffodil growing among rocks... Are obstacles blocking your way? A boulder tumbling out of control... Are you teetering on the edge? A cloudy sky... Are you lost in the shadows of others? A stagnant lake... Are you drowning in boredom? All around us nature is not only mirroring our lives; it is there to offer us its gifts: comfort, encouragement, strength, and wisdom. There is no cost, we only need to open our eyes and accept life's greatest gift; nature. Vickie Fisher lives on a nineteen acre farm in Westminster, MD. It was on this farm she was inspired to write this book. She enjoys spending time with her children and grandchildren, whom she believes are God's greatest gift. Vickie Fisher's HELLO GOD ARE YOU THERE? is page after page of inspiring words and photographs showing us how God uses nature to speak to us. A genuine treat for the eyes! (Best-selling author Loree Lough, author of nearly 100 award-winning books, including reader favorite A MAN OF HONOR.) The photographs and inspiring words of Vickie Fisher's HELLO GOD, ARE YOU THERE? filled my heart with joy and reminded me to look for the blessing of each day.
