Growing up with his two siblings with disabilities though, Michael faced many emotional challenges. Michael went through many trials and tribulations which most children do not experience. But, Michael eventually found His (God's) footprints in his (Michael's) life. He was able to find the meaning behind it all, and then continued moving forward tackling life with a new-born perspective. This eventually allowed Michael to find his footprints in God's life.A Brother's Love is comprised of stories and lessons learned while growing up with disabled siblings in the way that only a sibling can relay it. The story may be unique to siblings of people with disabilities, but the messages and words of hope will resonate with all who read the book. Welcome to my world, certainly one that no one could ever have imagined. I was born during the 3rd year of the 2nd World War, and raised in a small philadelphia suburb of mostly Italian, Jewish, and polish ethnic origin. My father, a disabled WWI Veteran, grew up in a quaint little fishing village off the southeast coast of Maine during the post Spanish American War era. My mother was Lelah Blanche Dean, a Junior High School art teacher from Fairmount Indiana, and the boyhood home of the late actor James Dean, who by the way, was a distant cousin. I''m a graduate of Upper Darby High School, Class of 1962, and received a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology and English literature from Tarkio College Missouri in 1967. The next three years included a split tour of duty with the U.S. Army in Fort Wainwright Alaska, and a year and a half on the battlefields of South Vietnam, where I experienced the gruesome horror of war, the indiscriminate desecration of human life, and the unconscionable indifferent to those most oppressed! But there was a powerful upside to this otherwise dangerous tour of duty, as I had the once-in-a-lifetime moment in time to witness the emotional pain and agony of orphans at the Saigon Tan Viet Orphanage, and a blessed opportunity to give loving care, clothing, and hope to 75 small children between ages 4-10! As I returned stateside upon my release from Military service, my profession career officially began. For nearly 30 years, it was a wonderful life. It included a 30 year career with the VA, a lifelong marriage made in heaven to the cancer survivor of the ages for 44 years, the proud benefactors from the gift of adoption, and a quarter of a century of strong fellowship with a loving, vibrant Bible Church in Fort Worth Texas. It was an awesome life, that is - until life came crashing down about a decade and a half ago, beginning with medical and financial crises of horrific circumstances, and ending up at the bottom of life inside a Federal prison Camp for 2 years. Yet all of the crises, tragedies, failures, and well-deserved punishment that were endured, as well as the causes, all the good and bad choices, and all that was learned from these experiences, actually became my destiny, an awesome experience of spiritual restoration and healing inside the furnace of God''s tough love. It was all an awesome, ironic twist of God''s amazing grace that will be shared throughout this journal. It''s a journal about change, hope, redemption, and spiritual healing, while illustrating clearly that although we may be are under a vicious and relentless attack on the battlefield of fear, we are never abandoned by a loving God. It is my fervent hope and prayer that this journal will give me the opportunity to give back, and fulfill my dream... "Comfort those in any trouble, with the very comfort we ourselves have received from God" (II Corinthians 1:4)

It was a beautiful day for Ms. Bird and her friends: a mouse, cat and dog. However, the day changed when Ms. Bird found their beloved human, a little girl, crying and telling her mom she didn't want to go to school. The reason: a bullying note that revealed the little girl was being bullied by other girls. In the children's book by author Shirley Suedkamp, The Bird Tweets a Word, Ms. Bird decided to remind the girl that she was made by God's love. She did this through uplifting singing to teach the girl the meaning of grace and encourage her to remember God's love for her. The story centers on the biblical truth from Matthew 6:26, where God cares for the creatures of the earth, and bestows even more love and care for His children. Ms. Bird tweets a word, and that word is the lov

In Genesis 2, a husband and wife live in perfect harmony with God and each other. In Genesis 3, the arch-enemy of the home, Satan, slithers into Adam and Eve's perfect Garden of Eden and disrupts unity and fellowship first between them and God and then with each other. From Genesis 3 to the present day, the same enemy (Satan the deceiver) continues to create enmity between man and God and destroy marriages. Written by Dr. Erskine Dodson, Help Us, Lord - We Can't Fix Our Marriage! is an eight-week marriage handbook that provides practical, Bible-based instruction and exercises to help couples restore and strengthen their relationship with God and each other. Dr. Dodson holds an undergraduate degree in business and finance from Strayer University in Washington, DC. A graduate in theology from Empire State Baptist Seminary in Liverpool, NY, he also holds master's degrees in ministry and divinity and a doctor of ministry degree from Summit University in Clarks Summit, PA. Dr. Dodson was a missionary church planter in upstate New York and a longtime pastor in Syracuse, NY and Indianapolis, IN. He was also a Bible college professor in Indianapolis. He and his wife, Phyllis, have served the Lord in vocational Christian ministry for more than 35 years. Dr. Dodson and Mrs. Dodson now travel to India, different parts of Africa and the Caribbean training pastors and leaders and conducting marriage seminars to enable them to instruct and equip others in their cities, towns and villages. The Dodsons' vision is that both families and churches will stand strong for the glory of God. Married since 1970, the Dodsons are the proud parents of three adult children - Angelita, Felicia and Erskine II - and have four grandchildren. When they aren't traveling and ministering, the Dodsons reside in Indianapolis.

The purpose of this book is twofold: first, to provide children and young adults a basis for understanding the concept of sin in regards to choices; what''s right and what''s wrong. Secondly, that God loves them and has provided them an inner voice to help them in making choices regarding the realities of life. In decades past issues regarding God, the Bible, morality, integrity, and what''s right and wrong were generally taught and modeled in homes and our public school system. Today, instead, the rule is tolerance, whether right or wrong, and political correctness regardless of the consequences. Modern society, both governmental and the population in general, reflect the results of using these rules to govern choices and what''s right and what''s wrong. Therefore, the intention of this book is to stimulate children and young adults to THINK about choices, consequences, God, and His words to them, the Bible, so they can avoid the tragic pitfalls and consequences of Godlessness. This book is narrated by a character named Conscience, who represents the conscience that resides in each person and is brought forth in us by God. Conscience educates young readers on the importance of using one''s conscience for making choices and how the conscience is to build a stronger connection and dependence on God/Jesus, ultimately building a life-long and eternal relationship. The readers will get a sense of what their conscience means to them, as the character Conscience describes itself to them. The parallel drawn that a conscience is a gift from God is meant to be profound in meaning, but logical in thought as well. This book isn''t written to be judgmental, but to present a straightforward approach in explaining the benefits of applying a God-given conscience to life and the daily decision-making it entails.

Jones examines God's way of redemption and the specifics of how and why believers should embrace what God intended as the born-again experience on Earth. Filled with focused support from the Bible-Genesis to Revelation-True Freedom shares of the bounty available to every Christian as a new creation. This study includes several iterations of an infographic entitled alternately "Man's Composition at Creation" and "The God of All Creation," which reinforce the well explicated textual points concerning the makeup of Man-Spirit, Soul and Body. This is Gospel message itself, presented in the moving cadence of gospel music: "He is holy. We are holy. This exemplifies the great work at the cross: The cross bears the punishment of the sinner. The cross evaluates the worth of the sinner. The cross crucifies the sinner. Quote from Blair Townley, Xulon PressThis nonfiction book educates readers in what it means to "grow" in Jesus and fulfill the purpose bestowed to each person by a loving God. The main concept of the book is that salvation does not conclude a Christian''s purpose on earth, but revitalizes it in helping those lost in the world find God. The book''s content is organized and very linear in its approach, as it explains the topic more thoroughly through the chapters and uses realistic examples to connect readers'' experiences to the truths of the Bible. The author''s tone is very even and helpful towards readers, keeping the book''s dialogue informative but light-hearted that will encourage readers in seeing the eternal merits of a relationship with God through Jesus.

As I began to write this book, my animal friends were doing what they usually do. Jessie was in the background chirping and Simon was on the floor nearby wondering why I am not giving him all of my attention. This has been a journey learning about these animals that came into my life in unexpected ways. God used them to teach me about His personality and love for me throughtheir distinct personalities. To know that their names have unique meanings related to GodΓÇÖs character touched my soul because when I named them I didn''t know what their names meant. Animals donΓÇÖt speak in words. They do speak in their looks, behavior, and personalities and the joy they have just in wanting to be near us. God wants to speak to us through these creatureshe has made that have no voice but plenty to say. Join me as I introduce Jessie and Simon to you. I know they will remind you of the animals andpets you love and have loved. Patrick and his wife Janet reside in the Chicagoland area.

We are living in a time where the world has turned directly opposite of God's intended purpose for the world. We have mothers against daughters, fathers against sons, mothers and fathers-in-law against daughters and sons-in-law. We have brothers against brothers, sisters against sisters, friends against friends, but there is hope. I would like to invite you to glean from the tears, trials, tenacity, triumphs, and the naked truth from some of the strongest, courageous women who stood the test of time by endeavoring to keep respect, morals, and unity within the family unit. These women made sure that for 7 generations their off-springs would have a simple guide to follow in order to become a better person and make the world a much better place to live in. I learned through Christ what real love is about and how to accept real love from people because of the love I was first shown and accepted as a child. It is not what happens to you in life but it is what you do with the hand you are dealt. Through the hard times, please remember Jesus is there holding you in the palm of his precious hand. It may not feel like he is there but trust me he is there fighting for you to make it through storms even when death comes our way.
