Many believers are stagnated in their Christian growth, because they do not understand the constitution of their natures. Evil always seems as if it is something extrinsic to us over which we have no control. According to Scripture, this is not so. The reality is that evil or sin has access to us because it is intrinsic to our natures. Yet, our intrinsic inclination towards evil can be overcome, if we are willing to thoroughly understand and engage our sinful proclivities, while reclining the full wait of our existence upon Christ. Louis A. Burgess is a Pastor-Teacher who has served the Church of Christ throughout most of his adult life. He is the Spirit who inspired David to slay a lion and a bear, stirred David as he defeated the giant with a humble river rock, and He still moves within us in our churches today. The Holy Ghost-one of the three identities of the Triune God next to the Father and the Son-moves on us to save us and prepare the church to become the bride of Christ. Early in his ministry career, Kenneth E. Ishmael realized that there was much he needed to discover about the Spirit who was so integral in his church and its members' lives. Like a powerful wind, the Holy Spirit moved through his congregation, and he soon recognized the formidable authority working within him. He needed to know this Spirit better from the most complete and accurate source: God's Word. In this profound work of biblical analysis, Kenneth E. Ishmael digs to the roots of the Holy Spirit's identity, purpose, work, and historical significance through the words of the Bible. Walking through the Spirit's work from Genesis all the way through the book of Revelation, this practical guide illustrates how the Spirit has given new life, strengthened the weak, and prepared disciples for Christ. Pastors and churchgoers alike will find a foundation of knowledge here that is simply essential for complete understanding of God and His love and purpose for us.

This story is 12 years of a journey taken by me as a grieving father, my ups and downs and how I process loss. On April 8, 2001 I experienced the worst day of my life, the loss of my beautiful 19 month old daughter Autumn Rae. I've heard it said that men grieve entirely different than women I know this to be a fact my wife Michelle and I process this loss entirely different this is the loss through my eyes as a father.

Poems Are Large Thoughts in Small Thimbles The words in this book are a reflection of my journey through life. They are divided into four main categories, which mirror our experiences in life. The faith poems are a gift from the Lord. I just hold the pen. I hope that they inspire your journey of faith. The profound poems will make you think and reflect. I also want you to enjoy the funny poems because laughter is necessary for health and happiness. There is something about being able to laugh at our foibles that draws us together. Love poems are so emotional. Our need for another person is basic to life and the love we share is one of God's greatest gifts. These poems will take you from the first blush of discovery to the enduring joy of deep commitment. Also included are some short essays and two short stories again to make you laugh and reflect. One short story is for young children with profound Christian implications and the other is for older grade school children. I also had lots of fun throwing in some of my artwork and illustrations for your eyes to enjoy. I pray that you savor these words of life and that they enrich your own life's journey. Your servant and His, Myra Shire Groce
This book is near and dear to my heart because I believe it is heavenly inspired. Children around the world are in need today, more than ever, of parents who understand bridges - and for that we need hope and faith. We must learn to teach how to infuse positivity as early and long as possible. I truly believe we can be a bright light in the darkness, if this was not so, the history of the world would not be what it is today. He who is pure light and love itself told us not to stop these little ones from coming to him. Marilyn de la Cruz is an insightful and inspiring writer who has had a wide spectrum of experiences in her life. She knows that miracles are multi-faceted beams of light, meant to touch many through one, bringing forth good fruit. If you enjoy this book, please share it with family and friends - and look forward to more good fruit coming your way. "... Like gold in the furnace he tried them, and like a sacrificial burnt-offering he accepted them. In the time of their visitation they will shine forth, and will run like sparks through the stubble." -Wisdom of Solomon
Mrs. Prudence enjoys gardening but problems arise from every direction; first her landlord, then the toads, now the grub worms. At her wits end she calls an old friend for advice who is also a gardener. How will she get rid of the grub worms? What will she do about the toads? Will her friend give her advice she wants to hear? I hope you will join the toads as they set out on the adventure of the Toad's Trilogy 'Croaked' to find the answers. My three children and five grandchildren. I have been a part time home health aide since 1999, each patient is unique and specialin their own way. This book is based upon true events inspired by one of my patience. I was in my mid-teens when my first poem spilled out of my heart. It was, however, void of any hope or expression of any confidence in a God's love. It ends with the question, "Is there no answer for my agony?" This poem was not included in my first published collection in 1982, GENTLE REFLECTIONS, because the poems that followed as I matured, entered the workforce, and became a wife and mother were a compilation of poems reflecting a much brighter side of life and my experiences as a woman. I had yet to be introduced to my Lord and Savior on a personal basis in l982, though my precious Mother-in-law had offered some very strong evidence that there was a God who loved me. GENTLE REFLECTIONS II is record of my faith journey captured in a collection of prose and verse, filtered through the Holy Spirit, which has flowed from my heart since surrendering my life to Jesus Christ. I can clearly hear His voice now as He leads me through this earthly life, with anticipation of a blissful eternity with Him. It is my hope that, as you journey with me through my book, that you will find yourself somewhere along the way and be able to "Taste and see that the Lord is good", and that the fruits of the Holy Spirit are freely given to any who will come and feast with Him.

A little about me! I am a mother to three beautiful boys, a wife of thirteen years to Ralph, and a dog owner to the best dog ever, Rex. I'm so grateful for each and every blessing bestowed upon me by my most loving Father God who is the giver of everything in life. At times, I thought of myself as just an ordinary woman, a jack of all trades, slowly becoming a master, though many are challenging during life's journey. Today, I am thankful for the trials I have endured as they have kept me humble, but mostly because it was through enduring my toughest battles that I was led to the doorway where I'd enter into a deeper relationship with God, learning to trust fully in his perfect plan. It has taught me that while people will let me down, God never will and through his endless grace, I am still standing, still learning and I continue to look forward to all the wonders he has for my life. Hospice care: sometimes just the name can cause some people to hang their heads in sadness and lose all hope of relief to come. The diagnosis of the terminal illness was difficult enough, but now knowing your loved one, or even you, are headed to hospice care can prompt many forms of anxiety and despair. However, within the collection of real-life stories in The Last Blessing, co-authors Michelle Poston and Chaplain Ronald Lewis can say with certain that hospice care is not an aspect of life that is without hope. It is, instead, a place where God's healing blessings can be found within every person and every story. Poston, a hospice nurse for twelve years, shares her memories of patients she has cared for over the years, recounting the miracles that occurred as well as the heartache she experienced with their passing. The stories are filled with endearing moments of love between spouses, family members and even Poston herself being emotionally moved by her patients' lives. Such stories include a wife's acceptance of her husband's ultimate death, even after he survived hospice before; a homeless man who moved Poston with his enduring faith in Jesus and awareness of his eternal home; one man's choice to make frequent trips to his family's timeshare with his terminally-ill wife because the ocean view calmed her. Chaplain Lewis offers his personal insight into grief with a refined list of the different stages of grief and advice on ways to cope with the loss of a loved one, knowing they are somewhere else without pain. The Last Blessing is to not just clarify to readers what hospice care is all about; it is to encourage those navigating hospice personally, or with a loved one, to see God's presence in their lives during this time of sorrow. It is the last blessing to help people let go of their loved ones to their new, eternal home.
