As a pre-teen, David Keimig was diagnosed with Friedreich's Ataxia-a rare and devastating genetic disorder which would gradually take from him much that many take for granted. David would lose some things before he experienced them as his own. Why would a loving God allow such a disorder as Friedreich's Ataxia? And why would God allow this condition to impact so profoundly a young boy? How could David bear the weight of this diagnosis? In his autobiographical book, David considers his experiences in the light of his faith. He invites readers to respond with joy in trials for the Glory of God. Whatever one's experiences, whatever one's religious beliefs (even if one has no specific religious beliefs...), David's testimony of living well despite profound difficulties will both challenge and inspire. Come alongside David as he gives his best to living with joy amidst Friedreich's Ataxia. Deo Gloria! Born and raised in Colorado, David Keimig resides with his parents in Bennett-a rural town east of Denver. At the age of eleven, he was diagnosed with Friedreich's Ataxia-a rare genetic degenerative disorder. Despite the difficulties David lives with, he finds ways to pursue his interests. Above all, David lives to be a witness for Jesus Christ as he navigates through continuing daily struggles. This book, while written by David A. Keimig to share his story, is being published by the Joy Amidst Friedreich's Foundation, Inc., a charitable foundation. All proceeds from this book will go to the Joy Amidst Friedreich's Foundation, Inc., which will donate those funds to other 501(c)(3) exempt organizations to be used exclusively for religious, charitable and literary purposes.

Designed to be used alongside the book The Story of the Bible-God's Message to the World, this Study Guide explores the topic discussed in each of the book's chapters in more depth. The questions for each lesson follow the flow of the story, each question leading to a discovery of the answers in the original source, the Bible. The book presents a panoramic view of God's interaction with humanity through the storyline of the Bible from Genesis to Revelation. In straight-forward and simple language, it traces God's plan of redemption running like a scarlet thread through the events it recounts. This Study Guide can be used both for individual study and for small group classes. It particularly encourages the student to notice details in the text of the Bible, bringing its message to life. By comparing related passages in the Old and New Testaments it also brings out rich insights that apply to us today. About the Author Beverly Hubbard grew up in a family that loved the Bible. She had heard all the Bible stories by the time she learned to read, and after that she could read them for herself. When her parents went to Brazil as missionaries, she and her siblings were educated in mission boarding schools. Later, after getting a teaching certificate and degree in English in the States, she returned to Brazil to teach in a mission school. She and her husband served there and also in Christian schools in Central Florida. They have four children and ten grandchildren. Since the death of her husband, she has continued to write and teach women's Bible studies.

"Let the things I've been through serve as a lesson you can learn from strictly on faith and the belief in knowing that I love and care for each of you. The only thing I truly wish to gain in return is living the remainder of my life with the confidence of knowing that you take heed to these words and avoid making the same mistakes as I." There are times when mistakes are made, but it is too late to right them before punishment is dealt. As a minor growing up in a Nebraskan ghetto, Billy Ray Billups became heavily influenced by adults who he admired for their "maturity." Charged with auto theft, shoplifting, assault, and other criminal acts, he was kicked out of the state of Nebraska. Fast forward to adulthood, and Billups found himself incarcerated for his crimes. It was during his thirteen years of incarceration when he began to realize that everything that had happened in his past was a result of making poor decisions. Options had been presented to him to make good choices, yet he had tried to live up to others' expectations rather than his own. He finally received his wake-up call to live a more positive life. Now, the time has come for him to share his story to encourage younger generations to better understand the value in their ability to make good and rational decisions. In his raw and beautiful narrative Eighty to 120: No Lies, No Alibis Wake-Up Call, Billups sheds light for a hopeful and better tomorrow by providing insight from his personal experiences to help readers understand how important it is to be mindful of the ripple effect conscious and careful decisions can have. "Pledge to yourself to be the best version of yourself, then be it." Growing up in the ghetto is not easy this book was written for the purpose of a wakeup call to all young and old.

  • av David Beale
    456,-

In his Baptist History in England and America, David Beale illuminates numerous topics, including Baptist origins, their search for the ancient manner of immersion, and even the way they acquired the name Baptist. His book annotates key beliefs and practices in Baptist confessions of faith. Multiple chapters describe persecutions Baptists suffered, and contributions they made toward religious freedom and liberty of conscience. Striking a balance between brief and exhaustive, the author aims to inspire and to encourage, as well as to inform, in a precise and accurate manner. He provides in-depth coverage of numerous topics never mentioned in average surveys. Beale refutes the oft-repeated charge that key Baptist leaders were once Seekers, Levellers, Ranters, and Fifth Monarchists. The book is unique in the extent of its usage of local church records and numerous manuscripts in libraries at home and abroad. p.p1 {margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px; text-align: justify; font: 12.0px Merriweather} span.s1 {font: 12.0px Helvetica} David Beale taught Baptist History (college and seminary) twice a year for thirty years at Bob Jones University and Seminary. Currently residing in Simpsonville, SC, he is active in his local church and dedicates his time to writing, speaking in churches, and conducting academic modules and seminars.

How much do you know about the NFL before 1960? Did you know the NFL wasn't the first professional football league? Did you know that throughout the NFL's history, 50 different teams have folded? While a quick online search may bring about easy and quick answers, questions about the origins of North American football are much more complex. North American football existed long before the National Football League was born. Its history is extensive and rich, dating all the way back to the late nineteenth century, and its many transformations had several interesting and unique factors. The Unofficial History of Professional Football is an educational and engaging piece that will allow readers to learn and understand how North American football came to be as well as why it is the number one sport in the United States today and second internationally, right behind soccer. Not only does this book detail the general history of football, but it also provides a deep analysis of the evolution of equipment, rules, leagues, and all the important people who made it happen. The historical context, such as world wars, pandemics, and other worldwide economic and social issues, is also included in this piece, revealing how these impactful events not only changed the fabric of many countries but changed the fabric of North American football forever. The intricacies of football go far beyond what is seen on the Sunday game on the big screen. This book was created after Mike Segee, the author, had a simple question about a football game. As a longtime football fanatic, he started looking online for his much-needed answer and fell into a rabbit hole of curious internet searching. Eventually, The Unofficial History of Professional Football came into existence, and the rest is history! EndorsementMost books about the game of football are about a team, a player, a position, or some other specific aspect of the game. But this book sheds light on how the game started when players started earning money, and how many different leagues operated over the One Hundred and Fifty odd years it has existed. The NFL wasn't the first, and it surely didn't look like it does today. If you are interested in the sport of football, then this book is for you. Mike McBathMike McBath is a former Buffalo Bill player in the NFL, former Florida Blazers player in the WFL, twice elected President of the NFL Former Player Association Nationally, and was elected six times to the NFL Former Players Board of Directors

Everyone understands, interprets, and experiences life's events through particular beliefs and assumptions they have. Often, we may not be aware of what these beliefs and assumptions are or how they are influencing us. Nevertheless, those filters of how we understand and interpret life are in all of us. Their impact on our lives is seen in our attitudes, feelings, and responses to life and to people. VIEWPOINT is a book that looks at a few of the most powerful and common beliefs that guide our choices and actions nearly every day. In contrast to the understanding of secularized society, the gospel of Jesus Christ presents an entirely different, and often direct opposite, view of life. We do not get to choose the consequences or results of the choices we make in life, but we do have a significant role to play in choosing some of the primary influences that will shape our views. Having the right map in life makes all the difference in the world as to the directions we end up taking. Kent Adrian is lead pastor of Christ Presbyterian Church in Bradenton, Florida. He has served as a pastor since 1982. A graduate of Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, Kent also is the founder and president of Life Impact Connections, Inc., which he began in 2016. Life Impact Connections seeks to counter the many expressions of a me-centered Christianity by demonstrating how the genuine God-centered Christianity of the Bible makes an amazing impact on life.

My life has been touched by God's mercy and His love. I am a survivor of meningococcal meningitis. When I arrived at the hospital, I was unconsciousness, none responsive and septic. Very little data on people who survive Meningitis in this condition. God sent me back with a purpose and a mission to share my story with others. Having a Near Death Experience changed how I see things today. It was not an easy journey for me to confront the implication of telling someone about my Near-Death Experience. Hope you read the book. My story is about what God did for me, but it also has another story. It shows how my wife had the fortitude and a courageous spirt to stand by me not knowing the outcome. So many people would cut and run in a situation like this. Diane is the most amazing lady I have ever met. I'm sure if you spent some time with her, you would find this out. After twenty-five years of marriage, she still looks forward to seeing me at the end of the day. I can honestly say writing a book was never on my bucket list. I have shared my story more time than I can remember. Time after time I've been asked when are you going to write a book. My response had always been, I'm a carpenter not a writer. But God has written an amazing story and it's time to share it with the world. I wrote my perspective on what took place. I thought it would be fascinating to have my wife and daughter write their perspective on what they went through when I contacted meningococcal meningitis. They both expressed how they felt when my life was in God's hands. It's the unknown that they struggled with. In situation like these you are powerless. Especially facing the following outcomes. is he going to live? Will he have all his faculties? Or will he be in a nonresponsive state for the rest of his life. Let me explain the title Being Twenty Again at Fifty. I was fifty at the time I contracted Meningitis it was October of 2006. When I woke from the coma, I had thirty years of my life erased. I was twenty years old again and the year was 1969. Nixon was president and I had no clue who I was or had any knowledge of present day. I had no idea that I was married or that I had a total of four children. I was a custom home builder and a principal broker. My wife was devastated when I told her I did not know her. Its only by the Grace of God that I am able!

Steven Clark was born again in June of 2015. He now understands when God said I will give you a new heart and a new spirit. It is why being born again is why he starts here in his bio. It is by far the greatest event in his lifetime. He is from a small town in Texas. Steven Clark has studied and read many books since being born again. It is difficult for him to know in this world what is real and what is deception due to his suffering from schizoaffective disorder. That is why he studies and reads the Bible daily. He wrote about the Catholic Church in this book, and he was Catholic for 40 years of his life. He speaks from personal experiences of the sacraments. Steven Clark wrote because the love he has for his family and wants to share his opinion of what is real and what is deception. We may disagree but we can learn from each other. We can agree to disagree.

The operative word in the querky title is"thing." Stories for each section followed quickly: "This Ain't My First Rodeo," "This Is A Stickup," and "This Is the City" for THIS entries. "That Dog Won't Hunt," "Atta Boy," and "That Don't Impress Me Much" belonged as THATs. "If It's Not One Thing," "One More Thing," and "Here's the Thing" were naturals. "Thing" is so frequently used in daily discourse: anything, everything, something, nothing, one last thing, the best thing, the thing is, etc. Expect some religion, politics, and a little trivia. There's some family, TV, movies, and baseball. Everyone will find something of interest. Adam Carolla's book, "Everything Reminds Me of Something" says it all! One of the blessings of family life is grandchildren. My wife and I have twelve; six girls and six boys. Barbara's education was in Queens, New York, RN. Concordia University in Nebraska granted my B. S. in Education, Florida Atlantic in Boca Raton, Florida, the graduate degree in Administration. I served as teacher and administrator in Lutheran schools for forty-five years (MI, FL, NY, TX, LA) and coached volleyball, soccer, basketball, softball, and track at each. Gardening, birding, biking, reading, and writing (since 2010) are my hobbies. "This, That, and the Other Thing" is my ninth published work. Two more manuscripts, already written, await financing. Born in Lyon, Missouri, population fifteen in 1943, I attended two one-room schools. I've been a St. Louis Cardinal fan since Schoendeist, Musial, Gibson, Flood, Boyer, and Brock. The ladies pictured with me are Olivia Broussard, Adeline, and Vivian. "An hour with your grandchildren can make you feel young again. Any longer you start to age quickly." (Unknown)

It is through our relationship with God and our continual choice to put on the full armor He provides us with that we receive strategic, operational, and tactical insight on how to win battles of spiritual warfare. Our lives are full of individuals battles, and though we may lose a few, we can collectively win the war if our faith in Him remains steady and obedience rings true. This was Ms. DeWitt's mindset as she entered a wilderness and isolation period, during which God instructed her to go on a twenty-one-day consecration, with intermittent fasting. God's instructions were to pray for herself, her God-ordained spouse, their families, and other connected lives. This, alongside writing down her prayers and prayer points, led to the creation of God Ordained Spouse War Strategies. Written through the hand of God, this work by Ms. DeWitt depicts the adversities, challenges, manipulation, and witchcraft that threatened her livelihood but were overcome through the light of the Lord. Understanding our journey, why we face the things we face, and what God requires of us can be difficult. But it is Ms. DeWitt's purpose to inspire even one, if not more, to never give up and to know and understand that though life can be rough, they can make it through so long as God is their leader. One can turn their lemons into lemonade and use their pain to walk in purpose, on purpose; they only must glorify and praise the Lord by speaking in spirit and truth.

It had been a harsh winter, and the children gathered felled twigs for tinder. However, they found a shoe and it was attached to a black man. The young children thought he had turned to stone. He had been dead for so long. But Ted was not dead, and a complicated adventure started leading our four heroes on the journey of a lifetime. Read to find out if Jason and Rachel find God, how the first people of color seen in over eight years integrated into the community, and how a black-hearted soul has come to God and journies on the path to public redemption. This book has adventure, codes to decipher, and the area of Hope expands west. It is an exciting follow-up to "In Search of New Hope." Raised in Church and surrounded by books that sparked my imagination, these books were inevitable. My life experiences are in this book: my love of the outdoors, riding horses as a young girl and being quite good with a rifle. Writing about village life comes from many trips to developing countries and seeing the non-technical life first-hand. I came to Christ early in life with a passion to lead others, whether as a camp counselor or as a short-term missionary. It is my prayer that this book will have a positive impact on your life and will be an enjoyable read. I live in Orlando with my two fur babies, both rescued. When not writing, I am gardening, reading, quilting, or ministering in my Church. I am a retired nurse, having worked in many types of nursing. Enjoy the continuing story of New Hope.

The Canadian Presbyterian Mission had a consuming passion to develop a skilled-native East Indian Church in British Guiana. Higher education goals thus became a foundation to its policy. With the establishment of institutions for training its workers, there was great hope for success. To attain its objectives, the Mission needed a competent staff and sufficient students. Financial and other factors impeded progress. When the Indian Church finally emerged in 1945, the results were satisfactory, despite the herculean efforts of missionaries and local leaders. Rev. Finding a Path in a Seemingly Meaningless World... Set within the realm of Achimede, a world far from thought and time, the ancient demon Eosfóros has polluted magic and has thus made it completely evil. To add to his power, he has created the Qua Eiríni: five enchanted objects full of extraordinary power and might. Several centuries later, the once great and glorious Helgos Empire has fallen to civil war. The nation is divided between the malevolent Velorians, the servants of Eosfóros, and the resilient but flawed Ergossians, who wish to free the world from the clutches of magic. It is now up to Eman, a young Ergossian noble, and his many friends to seek out the Qua Eiríni under the leadership of the wise but mysterious priest, Simon. Along their way, they will have to make a stop for supplies in a strange nation called Mahali, unaware of what is yet to come, and the many dangers that will come their way... J.L. McCrea was born in Kansas City, Missouri in 2006. At age one, his family moved to Denver, Colorado. A natural born storyteller, McCrea has entertained his family with stories since he was a small child. He began writing the first book to The War for Achimede series at age fourteen. He began his college career as a full-time college student at the age of fifteen. Through his writing, he hopes to encourage others in their faith. Besides his great love of writing, J.L. McCrea also enjoys travel. He hopes to one day visit his father's family ancestorial home of Eilean Donan castle in Scotland.
