RIVER TAILS is a silly river-rafting story for children. It also includes a story about helping a child to feel good about their differences. The author made frequent 3 day trips down the Rogue Wild and Scenic River where he was Manager, and funny ridiculosities did occur to him while floating and rowing and camping on the narrow beaches. He told those stories to his children's friends, with an introductory "e;Did I ever tell you about when I floated down the Rogue?"e; Children who had heard some of the stories would excitedly come to hear another silly story. Of course the author's children would say "e;Oh no, not again"e;, and "e;How do you other kids stand those crazy stories?"e; But those children loved them. The 75 year old author says he is "e;still trying to figure out what I want to do when I grow up"e;, and "e;I grew up once, and I didn't like it"e;.

This anthology is a five-year retrospective of poetry readings at A POETS 'AGORA, a literary association in Athens, Greece. The poets who have read at the event, or have been part of the residency program share with the readers their poems in relation to the theme of the year. These theme-words capture the zeitgeist of Greece; Muted in 2015, Lull in 2016, Graft in 2017, Risk in 2018 and Verge in 2019. The poems are in Greek and English. The international poetry evenings, and the residency, take place in a neoclassical building at the foothills of the Acropolis, graced with frescoes that illustrate this publication. The poets are gathered along criteria of diversity and originality, as they belong to different currents of the rich Greek poetic spectrum. Together they gift readers with an authentic outline of contemporary voices, opening a path for students and researchers, or poetry lovers around the world, to receive a unique perspective on this artform.

Judaic thought on the role of war in the history of the children of Israel begins with the biblical narratives that record a variety of belligerencies in which God is often depicted as the one who leads the Hebrews in battle, protects them from their enemies, and makes them victorious over other armies. Thus, during the initial phase of the exodus from Egypt, when the people were terrified by the approach of the Egyptian army, Moses sought to calm them by assuring them that the Lord will fight for you (Ex. 14:14), which he repeated when he sought to calm their concerns by again assuring them: The Lord your God who goeth before you, He shall fight for you (Deut. 1:30). These assurances clearly were not intended to be taken literally. The metaphor of God as their warrior had multifaceted connotations for a people who knew or at least perceived themselves to be smaller and weaker than the nations with which they would have to contend in order to establish themselves in the land divinely promised to their ancestors. The metaphor provided the children of Israel with a sense of security; informing them that they were chosen for freedom by an all-powerful God who would continue to support them even in the face of apparently overwhelming challenges. The present study focuses primarily on a number of biblical narratives selected because they each reflect the basic issues of reason and morality that relate to the conduct of warfare throughout human history, as understood in Judaic thought. In each case, the context will be described to the extent necessary to evaluate the rationale and consequences, both intended and unintended, of the resort to armed conflict. The study then addresses the efforts, in the post-biblical rabbinic period, to amplify and codify the rules pertaining to the making and conduct of war and peace, a process that continues in Judaic thought to the present day, when such decisions, after a lapse of two millennia, once again confront autonomous decision-makers in the modern State of Israel.

This book, 'The Eye of Venus', is Book One of a trilogy. The other books are entitled 'Twenty Years On' and 'The Return to Chiaros'. This series, set hundreds of years ahead from now, and on another planet, is what I call (soft) Sci-Fi/Fantasy. Science and history are background to the story. The story is of a quest for an emerald, a special emerald. The emerald is part of a device that was used for inter-realm passage. The main competitors are Satanic forces, and a secret Catholic Church organization known as Probono Dei.

Author Leon Lowe wrote this back in the summer of 2011 and it was originally twice as long but to tell its psychological story it had to be shortened. This book is about racial prejudice stirred by far left socialist propaganda and lies the media tells as well as a note to self of how sometimes people are not what they seem good and bad.

Christianity is not a religious construction, but rather accepting the man Jesus Christ as personal Lord and Saviour. This is the reason for which deliverance from placenta, umbilical cord, first water and sponge birth captivity is a thing to look at. "e;And as for thy nativity, in the day thou wast born thy navel was not cut, neither wast thou washed in water to supple thee; thou wast not salted at all, nor swaddled at all"e; (Ezekiel 16:4). Now indigenous and modern sciences states that by cutting the umbilical cord, the child is freed after birth from the blood of the mother, with which it was nourished in the womb. If the cutting is not done, as well as the tying off of the navel-string, which takes place at the same time, the child will death when the decomposition of the placenta begins. The fact is that many people are still bound by generational curses. Because these curses that have been passed down from one generational to the next are passed down through the umbilical cord. We are bound by birth and early childhood experiences. There are instances in the bible, in the lineage of Abraham, their first son's never make it to inheritance, if you trace the case, you will be shock on what happened between Jacob, Joseph and his sons even to David and his sons. They were attached by the umbilical cord. There was a curse in operation and yet was almost undetected. Foundation issues can travel for generations unnoticed. Circle of imitations, failures, hardships, poverty can be traced to family foundations due to agreements with demons when these altars were setup, some of our forefathers may have said,"e; take wealth and protect me and my children"e;. How then, can this family experience prosperity when the devil holds this as a legal agreement against them? Some suffer affliction because they refuse to continue in the worship of these idols or some its generational curses. Nevertheless, some may manage to be doing well, because they engage in evil practices. So the devil will leave them alone. This is the reason for which this book has come at the right time to us help understand the manipulative act of the placenta witchcraft targeted against our destiny. We should be delivered from every umbilical cord, first water and sponge birth captivity. If you are seeking for deliverance in any area of your life, business, ministry, then this book will help to point you in the right direction.

I wrote this workbook because it disturbs me that a lot of individuals and communities are constantly living their lives in "e;Crisis Mode'' with little or no time and opportunity to realize their dreams. I believe a certain stigma is attached to those who are deemed by society (others) as always needing someone to rescue them from one crisis after another. Without naming names, I will say that for some this trend grows more prevalent with each passing generation. I want my family and peers to realize that we do not have to live on the edge as though we lack a foundation (culture) to stand on. There inevitably is more to all of us than our struggles but until we get past having our finger on the "e;Panic Button"e; we will not get a chance to display our audaciousness. I am confident that this "e;Crisis Counseling Workbook"e; can aid anyone whose life has gotten off track or who simply wants to succeed at creating a better life for themselves and their family, as well as improve the community they live in. "e;In the darkest hour, a pinprick of light is all that's needed to guide the lost home."e; That said, please feel free to tweak this crisis counseling program to meet the particular needs and circumstances of those you are counseling.

We use the toolbox of the mind to uncover the secrets of existence, the meaning of life, and our purpose and place in the universe. What tool do we have to investigate the nature of the mind; surely not the mind itself. Can the mind be its own witness to testify for its legitimacy? What judge would consider such testimony convincing enough to vindicate the claimant? The dilemma is resolved when the judge who presides at this trial is the mind's own reflection, projected to createNECESSARY ILLUSIONS,its deliverance from chaos and confusion. But such illusions work only if they are perceived as real, even beyond real; SACRED!

Reversing, Willie Lynch's (a white slave owner from Jamaica) prescribed methodology for making an ideal slave, outlined in the manual he gave to white slave owners in 1712, on the banks of the James River, (Jamestown Virginia), titled, "e;Let's Make A Slave,"e; is the motive for me writing this treaties. There usually is more than one reason why we succeed at our individual as well as collective goals. Likewise, there are several factors involved in our struggles. Therefore, this small book is not meant to be a cure all for what ails our family and community (African Americans). It is a partial solution to what I believe to be the primary cause of our difficulties, namely, the ramenets of the traumatic experience of four-hundred years of enslavement here in America, that have been passed down through our DNA. This Treaties is meant to address what has been too long ignored concerning why there is an epidemic of violence, addiction, sucide and crime in our homes and community. Our community is not only being devastated by these social-ills, but the gains we have made over the last hundred years through sacrifice and protests, are also being decimated. (decimate /desmt/ verb 1. Kill, destroy, or remove a large percentage or part of. "e;the project would decimate the fragile wetland wilderness"e; 2. HISTORICAL kills one in every ten of (a group of soldiers or others) as a punishment for the whole group. "e;the man who is to determine whether it be necessary to decimate a large body of mutineers''). I note the definition of 'decimate' because I want to emphasize the point that we are literally dying by the tens-of-thousands at both our own hands as well as at those of police officers, who deem Black lives as expendable.

The Basque philosopher Miguel de Unamuno (1864-1936) was viewed by his peers as being one of the most significant writers and thinkers of the twentieth-century. As an author, Unamuno worked in all of the major literary genres: essays, novels, poetry and plays. However, according to the Mexican novelist and essayist, Carlos Fuentes, it was the philosophical essay which was his real forte. Yet Unamuno, towards the end of his life, provided a different-though not necessarily contradictory-perspective on his work. When Unamuno was asked to define himself, he stated that in all of his writings he should be considered "e;nothing but a poet."e; Taking each of these statements both literally and seriously, what Professor Wasserman attempted to do in this work was to integrate the two assertions. He accomplished this task by first translating passages in Unamuno's essays from Spanish to English and then by converting the prose translations into lines of poetry, thereby providing the reader with a lyrical and engaging picture of Unamuno's philosophy of life.
