  • - Our only Real Enemy
    av Micheline Mason
    197,-

We are born with three extraordinary powers naturally available to us free of charge - the power of touch, the power of attention, and the power of imagination, but no one tells us this. These powers are barely understood and therefore greatly underused. If they were understood and used we would not find ourselves in the precarious state we are in. Our beautiful world and all its natural wonders are beings who are consequently unable to think and act in our own best interests. This little book tries to explain how our minds work, how they become partly frozen by painful memories, and how these 'ice-balls' can drive our behaviors. It looks at how we can help each other to melt these inner ice balls using the natural powers we all have. The author suggests how we can harness these powers to halt our own destructive behaviors, allowing nature to heal not only us but also our damaged ecosystems before it is too late.

To the best of my knowledge understandably when I first saw the New Yorkers, I was in a state of euphoria concerning the awesome lifestyles of the great people on earth. I choked out a few words the first time I interacted with them. I immediately realized there is so much more to explore about their characteristics and to create a highly readable book about them to the world's profundity of their lifestyles.Reading this book will be more than ecstatic to add more time to your readings, and have you on the edge of your seat or bed, making you want to stay in one place to turn the last pages or finish the book. So sweet without honey.Ecstatically, a great way to spend your ample time due to any action they take is complex and interesting scenario characters that deliver good reading attention, and an impressive array of characteristics.Writing about New Yorkers' lifestyles is entertaining and blends them all beautifully together, never letting the book drop, keeping the reading flawlessly intact, and riveting. Reading about New Yorkers has no stopping, especially about their insatiable educational background that refutes the imbued from their respective parents. They are talented, expressive, sophisticated, sexy, beautiful, courageous, and controversial, tending to conform to societal norms when it comes to dress codes and celebrating their beauty with clothes that accentuate their style and look dreary and bereft and elegant.New Yorkers' food IQ refrain from binging nonstop on an appalling diet of fried potato chips, jumbo sausages, fried eggs, and heavily salted bacon. They fix the holiday period especially a scheduled period during which their activities in schools or other regular business are suspended.New Yorkers' lifestyles in sports are phenomenal especially when it comes to the Super Bowl, with a giant appetite that stands as a record breaker every year.Music first originated in Africa, but the transformation of its quality digital sound has long been transferred to New York and America as a whole in decades.

This book is a collection of my poetry over the years inspired by the life I have led, working in the care setting and travelling all over the world. I hope you enjoy my work and may find it useful to use in the right settings, for instance 'Those in grief' has been used in funerals. My life has been rather colourful to say the least and I have been in a few situations, facing danger and adventure bringing me to the present day. Now at sixty-five, I can reflect on this and laugh at the funny events and sigh with relief at actually surviving other situations. I consider each event as a blip in my life and nothing more, yes, I do have nightmare from my worst experiences as a teenager but I just thank God that I survived to tell the tale. These poems also reflect society as it is today around the world including hate crime, racism, sexism, homophobia and much more

  • - Memes of Heaven and Hell
    av David P Summers
    211,-

It is a unique book of poetry and memoir describing a life's struggle against suicide and depression. His manic adventures provided an escape from depression and counter-acted his suicidal thoughts. The poetry is self-descriptive, written throughout the years to cope with times of mania and depression.Summers describes what he and other contemporizes call memes, traumatic imprints of actual events that cause a nexus of synaptic neurons to congregate closely in the brain structure to alert thinking in advance of thought. Obviously, they are often there for life, feeding habits and ordering emotional signals to the organs of the body, subtlety directing our thinking, He writes eloquently of his surrender to religion and drugs (and religion with drugs), throughout his life. Example: "This is normal saline with sodium pentothal and it will put you into a drowsy sleep state." Yeah right, I thought. That's what the warden tells those poor souls on death row when execution time finally arrives. They know the next moment the warden will nod his head to the executioner. And that's exactly what I expected...honestly. Weird, the closer I came to my death, the more logical and calm I became. "I want to ask you a few questions," I faintly remember him saying. And then that was all. I gave up the ghost, and I died...I thought. Summers brilliantly intersperses religious icons and other implanted memes throughout this captivating story of struggle and overcoming. We are bombarded by so much in a fast-paced world that sometimes it becomes increasingly conflicting to sort through the complexities and focus on the things that really count and sometimes we don't have the space to think through what we should really focus on when we are able to identify these values and live our lives through those lenses, we are guaranteed true freedom and life experiences that enrich not only our lives but the lives of people around us. We don't have to log around weights that bug us down or allow our focus to be misaligned. We have an example Jesus the Christ, who through His simplified existence exemplified to us and for us, the things that really do matter so we too can adopt those self-made values and fly.

Terror in my Country demonstrates creativity at the highest level of performance. A prose fiction-laced with beautifully crafted poetry. It exudes such scintillating appeal that once you start to read it, you are likely to be glued to it till the end." Professor Bamidele Rotimi Badejo of the department of Language and Linguistics, University of Maiduguri. This is the past of a fatherless boy whose life see-saw, moved from one state to another and back again, plummeting into a vicious circle where it seemed that a curse on his father was his undoing or an unknown jinx put him in a bind and held him in perpetual bondage of misfortune. And now his student's file in the University that holds his academic record is missing, not only from the Department of Public Law but also from the entire Faculty of Law, and could not be found. And as if that is trivial, his name and student identification number are not in the summary of graduating students. It is a sad story of insurgency, devastation and unimaginable bloodshed, and horror of thuggish brutality in Nigeria. The cheerful world of mother and son, father and playful children, brothers and sisters of Saminaka disappeared, ushering him into a strange world of monstrous vampires and cannibalism and now he is a dreaded Dracula in Sambisa forest surrounded by mind-boggling horrors any human could ever imagine. The first day he killed a human, the sun shined in its best manner. The night of 14 to 15 April 2014 was a dark day never to be forgotten by the whole world. As the Lorry rolled on never to be seen, a thought came to the boy at the steering wheel to save the Chibok girls, if not all, at least some. He is a Tornado's quite alright but he is still a human with flesh and blood like the parents of the precious School girls he is driving into the Lion's den.

This book has been put together to provide quick guidance on those topical issues Christians, including those in ministry and business and those intending to be, have faced down through ages.Through my years of being a Christian, businessman, and a pastor, I realized and believe that each of us has a page on God's Master Plan that details the specific purpose of our being, for the common good of his creation. God formed us, determined our purpose, and equipped us to fulfill that plan and purpose. It is wise for each person to search out from the heart of God, his plan and purpose for them. He will oblige.Topics covered here are brief guidelines to help in making your business and ministry succeed.

Just as cities and nations face the challenge of providing clean water to their citizens and their economies, a new opportunity has finally been constructed that can fix these challenges. This is a time-sensitive opportunity, and this book is provided to help you move forward. AQUEOUS International, Inc. has developed this over the past 30 years with global research and the concept developments of new technologies that lower costs and provide extraordinary water for global demand. AQUEOUS International, Inc. is providing this book to the world offering not only water but exceptionally clean natural glacial water from one of the largest hydrologic systems on this earth. In addition, other sources have been found in areas of the Atlantic, that can dramatically fix water demands in those markets.Yes, the book is long and very detailed, but it provides essential knowledge including both economic and ecologic understanding for those willing to step forward and help rebuild their communities (both people and economies) in desperate need of more cost-responsive clean renewable freshwater. We address all existing technologies around the planet that are failing, including desalinization and the growing global understanding of its long-term ecological harm, and always-growing costs. We also address the huge and growing problem of pharmaceutical contaminants such as estrogen and hundreds of others, that most scientists are convinced are causing significant harm to male, pre-birth, and elderly beings with no cost-effective filtering technology to stop it. Almost every major city on earth has this and many other big pharma contaminants. In some markets that reaches over 60 contaminates in each gallon.Another way to look at this is to ask yourself, especially those who live and work in areas of the world that have been inhabited for thousands of years. "Would you rather drink pristine natural glacial water with no contaminates - some over 32, 000 years old - or groundwater that has been peed in for thousands of years.?"It is our hope that you will read all of this book and then reach out to us so that together we can quickly initiate A New Future for Water.

William Borland started his adulthood hiking up all forty-six peaks in the Adirondack Mountains of New York. Then he hiked the highpoints of Vermont, New Hampshire, and Maine. Following a move west, he tackled the high-points of all of the western states. After reading Seven Summits by Frank Wells and Dick Bass, who detailed how they climbed the highest mountain on each continent, Borland was inspired to set his own sights higher. Suddenly it seemed possible for a mere mortal, without superhuman climbing skills, to scale the world's highest mountains - starting with Mt. McKinley (now known as Denali) in Alaska. From there, he began mountaineering and cycling on all seven continents.
