As women, we compete for attention, validation, admiration, and the like. Today, technology makes it possible to connect with family and friends instantaneously. We have so many options. Gone are the days of a hand-written letter and rare are the phone conversations or times to really be authentic with a close friend. Technology makes it easy for women to portray an ideal life that competes with those whose lives they see represented on Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, Twitter, and other social media. By going beneath the surface and discovering Gods true design for womanhood, women can feel empowered, energized, and free to remove the masks and confidently embrace a life of authenticity. While technologies such as social media and websites can improve our abilities and options to connect, they also mean there are just so many more channels we have to managerelationships, perceptions, details, and to top it off, we have to be aware of how our communications will be read and interpreted on the receiving end. Even though women long for meaningful relationships and an authentic life story, they often find themselves exhausted from having to create and maintain a variety of masks to wear during the appropriate settings that prevent them from this. As with anything, when it is overused, technology can take away from truly deep one-on-one intimacy and interaction. Anything we come to rely on to substitute for personal relationships runs the risks of losing authenticity.

She has much to enjoy on the family farm, including her dogs and the assorted farm animals she takes under her wing.In Gravel and Grit, author Rosemary Coplin Dahlberg takes us back to the Kansas farm where she grew up in the 1930s and 1940s. These were the days of radios instead of television sets, games that required imagination instead of joysticks, and party lines instead of cell phones. Homes often had the unique smell of Lava soap and Spic and Span cleanliness instead of potpourri.Dahlberg shares her memories of how she met lifes issues head on. Life lessons involving her beloved dogs, her classmates, and her neighbors are experienced and lessons learned, sometimes the hard way. World War II, a tornado, and family loss all bring changes to Rosemary and her family. But through it all, God is always present, giving Rosemary faith and a moral compass for her future.

Unkempt bathrooms? Bad sound systems? These may turn away people as much as the singing and the sermon. To whom much is given, much is required. But when Alex and his dedicated band of nitpicking zealots are hired to evaluate a Florida church and its prominent pastor, they are presented with a set of mysteries: Who hired them? And who hired their main competition? And why are they being shadowed by a couple of atheists running a dirt-dealing blog? Oil spills, dwarf spies, choir room surveillance, church league basketball cheats and parking lot security all combine in a splendid caper that stretches from Wall Street to the beachfront. As Altermans group finds itself in the eye of the storm, the work takes on a new dimension as they untangle the reasons they believe in their work, and why they believe at all.

God pressed on my heart that people needed to know He speaks in the everyday walk of life. Even in the most mundane task God is there, ready to teach us. This book is the journey that God has taken me on so far. Its a book about a fiery redhead that allowed God to teach her some extraordinary lessons about the one true God. Its a book about being authentic and living out His Word. Although I have a seminary degree in theology, God continues to speak the loudest in my everyday life of being a mom, wife, and childrens minister. I hope anyone that reads this book walks away knowing God wants to be in every facet of our lives, big and small. It is so humbling to know the God of the universe cares about me in such a personal way. I pray that you will allow God to permit you to become aware of the moments in your everyday life that He has ordained for His purpose.
The Before I Forget captures what I believe most Christians endure before and after they are savedor at least what I have endured. It captures what I want to forget and what I hope to remember and how to intertwine the two peaceably while trying to figure out how to live the new life God has given meone He has made known to me with the ever-increasing joy of His presence and a peace I can now count on. In an attempt to put the past where it belongs, rely to live guided by the Holy Spirit, and remain committed to a future in Christ Jesus, I arrived at my destination of salvation with the hope of seeing the world with new eyes. Only when I did, I hadnt planned on the struggle that would blindside me afterward: the requirement to love one another, my neighbor, and my enemies, let alone the part about forgiveness. My redemptive reflection back and forthboth before I wanted to love God and after I didwill surely resonate with most of you as you continue your own battle of balance; to be set apart as Christ representatives and extend grace to those who have yet to receive Him.

Jesus heard my cry and healed the aching in my heart. What is post-abortion syndrome? Will God heal me after what I did? How can I be free? These were all questions that I had. If you are struggling with a past abortion, or if you have been carrying a cry, you are not alone. For unbelievers especially, this book shows why they should pay particular attention to the true gospel of God. It is the good news of great joy, offering peace between God and humans, as well as peace from the troubles of this world. The gospel shows us how we can be saved from all of our problems. That includes personal, political, social, economic, or spiritual problems. Its the good news of how we can obtain enduring success and everlasting satisfaction with access to the kingdom of heaven forever! For believers, Benefits in God provides a reminder of the beauty and rewards of having a relationship with God. It endeavors to offer deeper insights into the wonderful benefits of being a citizen of heaven, a child of God, and a partaker of the divine nature. Benefits in God can equip those who are already believers to become better witnesses. This book can especially serve as a resource for sharing the good news of great joy with others. It makes the case that those who sincerely seek God will find a bounteous harvest of many benefits. A recurring theme in this book is love. The Apostle Peter writes, Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these we might be partakers of the divine nature having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust. Christ is the testator of a more excellent covenant being a living sacrifice. When He offered Himself on the cross for redemption, He opened for us a new and living way through the veil that is to say His fleshthat we might be restored to His likeness and image. The Apostle Paul, writing to the Galatians, reminded them of the Fruit of the Spirit, ending this thought by pointing out that against these spiritual characteristics there is no law. Perfection in Christ raises the comer to status beyond ordinary men, characteristically the new creation reality or the new man in Christ is above the laws of nature, the laws of physical and spiritual infirmity and certainly the spirit of wealth. As we mature in Christ and become transparent, our restored image and likeness will begin to shine through us. Miracles will be manifested through us. Perfection is attainable in Christ, which will restore the authority and dominion lost through the fall of Adam.
