  • - When You Do Not Know What to Pray
    av Sheryll Prokop
    171 - 370,-

When we make our spiritual life, our walk with Christ, and our faith journey our number one priority, all else is secondary to Christs plan for our lives. When we choose to become Christians, our priority is Gods will and our faith. Every little thing in our life is from God and is for a reason. If he brought a situation or person to us, we can trust that there is a purpose. We can seek to find his purpose in all things, in all ways, and in all situations by spending time in prayer. We can invoke his spirit and ask him to guide us, to be with us, and to show us what he wants us to do or to accomplish. We simply need to pray, trust him, listen to him, and be willing to do whatever he asks us to do according to his will and purpose. Sometimes we dont know how to pray, what to do, or we simply just do not know what to say to him. The first thing to do is to place ourselves in the ever-loving presence of our Heavenly Father, our Lord and Savior, and then open our hearts to feel his loving presence upon us, around us, and within us, and really soak in his healing power, his love, his light, his grace, his mercy, and his forgiveness. Then, we just start talking to him. Ask him to fill us with his love, peace, hope, and joy. Ask him to give us courage, strength, and perseverance. Ask him for healing, mercy, grace, and forgiveness. There are no magical, godly, or celestial words that God needs to hear to answer prayers. These prayers are intended to help lead us into a conversation with God and to give us the words when we dont know what to pray.

  • - Where Are the Wise?
    av Jean Bacon White
    141,-

The brain is a material part of the body contained within the skull. It is sensitized to absorb all information sent to it from inside and outside of the body. It contains the means to process this information and pass it on to the mind, which is not a material part of the body, but lies somewhere in the brain. You can lose it, abuse it or use it in your search for wisdom. If you lose it, we may find that you are demented, diseased, or even insane or a fool who has destroyed it with things that have taken away its usefulness. Men have been studying these mysteries for centuries. No one has been able to unlock the matter of the brain, the shadow of the mind, or the secrets therein, where we also have a soul and a conscience. The brain is a receiver, the mind is the decision maker, the conscience passes judgement. There is also a spirit that is the self, which is in control, and in the Christian, a Holy Spirit which guards the soul. Much has been written about the brain in the physical. Scientific, and psychological realms, concerning what the so- called grey matter in our heads is all about. This book is not concerned with those things, only the parts that no one can figure out. Wisdom is what makes good people nice. Derek Kidner The next thing to being wise ones-self is to live in a circle of those who are. C. S. Lewis The task thy wisdom hath assigned, O let me cheerfully fulfill; In all my works thy presence find, and prove thy good and perfect will. Wesley

Biblical Studies on the Prophecies of the Rapture and Revelation - is an introduction to and exploration of the Bibles teachings on the Second Advent of Jesus Christ. It distinguishes the Rapture from the Revelation. It affirms the Premillennial / Pre-tribulation Rapture / and Dispensational views. Explored are various theological positions of the Return of Christ, Biblical history, Church history, and insights from key Scripture passages. Russell writes for inquiring laity, clergy and seminarians. This work provides edification, inspiration, a wealth of Biblical knowledge; working together strands of history, theology, Biblical studies, statistics and even humor. The book addresses the Unconditional Covenant God made with Israel; kindly refutes Replacement theology / the Amil and Postmil views; defines Daniels 70th Week; considers the future Tribulation, Millennium; reminds of Gods Sovereignty and Providence, warns of sensationalism, date setting; presents signs of the times, and touches on Apostasy. The book is a comprehensive eschatological work with significant amounts of doctrine, Biblical history, the history of Christianity, and interrelated eschatological considerations. It also admonishes practical Christian living and encourages seeking paths of holy living. If you desire to understand the distinctions between the Rapture and the Revelation, seek a challenging and rewarding journey of study, and if you would find your faith strengthened and your understanding increased, this book will be a helpful guide to your exploration.

  • - Two Weeks of Living Boldly into God's Authentic Confidence
    av John Kaites
    171 - 370,-

This book is audacious enough to dare you to live fearlessly to rest completely in Gods love and to let that perfect love drive out your fears. The goal of this book is more than to inform you, it is to transform you. This book recognizes that transformation is something that is nearly always gradual. True transformation takes time, effort, and persistence. Transformation does not happen immediately. This is why this book has a devotional structure: there are 14 chapters for two weeks of thinking about fearlessness. The two weeks have slightly different focuses: Week 1 investigates the foundation of a fearless life: What instructions does the Bible give us, and how do they combine to form the elements of fearlessness? Week 2 examines the tools in a fearless Christians toolbox: What does it look like to live out our God-given fearlessness? How does God equip us to do so faithfully? The two weeks combine to illustrate a picture of the fearless Christian life, and to show you that you can live fearlessly and boldly, rooted in the love of God.

    186 - 384,-

Life Along the Way is a collection of insights the Lord opened up to me as I walked with Him daily. I love reading the scriptures. I believe the Holy Spirit speaks to us about Jesus through the scriptures. If you want to know Him, read them. As I posted excerpts from these writings on Facebook, I received positive feedback. I did not want to face the Lord one day and have to explain to Him why I had taken what He had given me and just buried it in the dirt. (Matthew 25:18). So here it is, Life Along the Way. Whatever is of Him will not return void. Whatever is of me, may He blow away as useless, for it surely is. To God be the glory, for only He can give life.

That critical illness led to the study of the scriptures on healing and an intensive search for the healing ministry of Jesus. Her book takes the reader on that journey as she prayed and hoped for the healing Jesus offered in his earthly ministry. This book is about a couples struggle with melanoma stage IV cancer. Bobs cancer was discovered during an unrelated chest x-ray looking for signs of work-related mesophilioma. Unable to do a biopsy, he had to have two suspicious spots removed from his right lung. In January of 2012, after the thoracic surgery, we were given the news that Bobs spots were melanoma. We naively assumed they had caught it early since Bob had no symptoms or discomfort, but once melanoma shows up inside the body, it is stage IV. I have written about the year we lived with the news and the complications of cancer until Bobs death in 2013.

  • - Discovering God'S Presence in Your Wilderness
    av Jeannine VanVoorst
    141,-

Sanctuary in the Desert is a thirty-day devotional documenting a Christians wilderness journey and discovery of Gods presence. As the travelers connection to God unfolds, his all-encompassing love is often reminiscent of the beautiful relationship between the bridegroom and the bride in the Song of Solomon in the Bible. No believer who chooses to follow Christ is exempt from the desert experience, though circumstances differ in each travelers passage. The trial by fire may be personal, financial, or economic distress from the loss of a job, home, or health. However, the purpose of the wilderness and the knowledge imparted to the sojourner remain the same. Originally titled Forty Days in the Desert . . . and Counting, the theme of this devotional is ongoing. The traveler oftentimes is bound by his perception of past failure, present immobility, and future uncertainty. Yet he moves forward, mindful that failure is a necessary evil and a facet of success. The expectation is that with every tumble, the journeyman will jump back onto his horse, re-enter the race, and ride hard until he crosses the finish line. Philippians 3:1214 aptly urges the seeker to press on toward the high calling of Jesus Christforgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead.
