The novel Fermosa-Rosales is the saga of a family during three generations, beginning in the latter part of the 15th century. Fermosa was all of twenty-six when she left her beloved Toledo, Spain, with her two children. The year was 1492 when the edict of expulsion for Jews was published. The family traveled west on the Camino Real, the long road to Portugal, encountering hardships and dangers along the way. She finds love in Portugal with Fernando, whose support she greatly needs when her son dies. They leave after five years when the king orders all Jews converted or expelled. A ship takes them through the pirate-infested waters of the Mediterranean to Tlemcen, where they make their new home. Fermosa's daughter, Blanca, marries there. When the Spanish armada threatens to invade the town, they leave for Istanbul. Though their ship is wrecked in Crete, the family is able to journey to Venice. After being ordered to live in the city's newly built ghetto, the family leaves for Pinsk, Russia, where Fermosa dies. Her grandson, Benjamin, tells the family's one-hundred-year history that mainly comes from his grandmother's diary. He sees the family finally settled in Vilna, Poland. The amazing journey of one family seeking a home where they would not be persecuted is told in unflinching terms in Fermosa-Rosales: An Endless Road.Dr. Alex Bloch earned his Ph.D. in history and taught in this field after a career in engineering and management. His publications cover all these disciplines. During the past eight years he has written several novels. This is his fourth.
As the title reflects, this nonfiction book is an expression of thoughts and ideas mirroring the environment and our experiences. Although these thoughts originated in India, they are universal in nature and represent an outpouring of emotions, thoughts, facts, imaginations, and sensitivities at different levels.Bouquet of Brain Waves throws light on universal bonding, the essence that binds us with everything around to make us feel one with matter, animals and people. The author talks about the simplicity of children and education, in contrast to the present complex system that complicates a child's mind, and shows concern for animals in our man-dominated nature. She reflects on the practical importance of English as a global language, yet her imagination longs to surge into space and its celestial bodies to discover the awe-inspiring spirit of the universe. The poetry reaches the practical as well as the most sensitive areas of life, nature, and the absurdities of living, and the attitude of society toward the female (The divine Devi!) is perfectly portrayed in its perverted form. The author does not try to teach, but in the process, the reader invariably realises the hidden sensitivities, blurred values, changed environment, unavoidable practicalities, and the urge of imaginations that complete our learning in life and nature.Author Bio:A retired teacher, Sumathi Kulkarni lives in India. "The unique characteristic of my country is its multiplicity of culture, language, and religion that bonds its people to weave into a spiritually beautiful nation. It is rich in its heritage spread throughout the length and breadth of its land. One life is insufficient to understand its beauty of existence."

My Pen Speaks is a collection of rhythmic thoughts, observations and life experiences brought together in a powerful reflection of free-form poetry. Resonating with power, passion and conviction, these poems show Patrice Watley-Williams'' focus on paying it forward. We often think that the only ones that need us are the less fortunate. This is far from the truth. With success comes negativity and hardship, which can turn the triumph to loneliness and often misery. The poet welcomes the reader to share the joys as well as the hardships of her life, to learn to love and embrace the trials as well as successes, and to realize that no matter how dark things may seem, we are never alone in our experiences. "In a world filled with struggles, your book gives people a chance to step away from their own challenges and remember that life can be simple and good. People who read it will not only celebrate...but may become motivated to follow a few dreams of their own." Silas "SiMan Baby" Alexander, Radio Personality"Real, relevant and refreshing are just some of the thoughts that come to mind when describing My Pen Speaks. This book is without question some of author Patrice Watley-Williams'' best work to date and displays her special gift of communicating her thoughts and experiences to attract a diverse audience. We truly love this book." Grafted By Grace, Contemporary Christian Recording Artists "Lose yourself for a moment, flash back and reflect on the words and their true meaning, realizing the true spirit and passion behind this phenomenal book as it takes your mind and soul on a journey. Climate change and resource depletion are two of the most daunting problems mankind may face in the coming decades. However while both appear to be relatively new phenomena, they are related to growing problems that date back decades, if not hundreds of years. In Nature's Revenge, author Edmund Blake takes an in-depth look at the influence developments in the natural world have exerted on human history, and conversely, the influence human activities have had on nature. Blake also undertakes an exploration of the ways in which the changing perception of nature reveals the dominant values that inform a particular civilization. His book provides evidence demonstrating that the way in which nature is viewed during a given period can have genuine lasting real-world implications. Nature's Revenge ultimately attempts to provide a rational and objective exploration of our immediate future here on Earth with the climate-related challenges we face. The author also has included an epilogue that considers mankind's chances of being able to rise to meet these challenges in the coming years. Edmund Blake was born in the UK and brought up in the county of Essex. Blake studied French and English literature at university, and completed a doctoral thesis on philosophy and political ideologies linked to Bergsonism. Currently he resides in a rural area of France. Nature's Revenge was inspired by his disdain for the exploitation of nature by multi-national companies and certain self-serving members of the political elite.
