A friends-to-lovers romance filled with family shenanigans, new friendships, and island breezes to keep things cool when the chemistry heats up! Emily Evans knows better than to date a guy like Lucas Edwards. He's cocky, arrogant, and way too good-looking for words. He's completely indecisive, a player, and can't even keep his houseplants alive. So, she very clearly puts him in the friend zone where he belongs. And their friendship comes on strong. She loves nothing more than hanging out with Lucas, bickering over what show to watch or where to eat, and daydreaming where their next un-date will be. She's never had such an amazing friendship before and can't imagine not having him in her life. Except for that tiny problem of putting him in the friend zone, things are going great. Lucas Edwards fell hard for Emily the moment she opened her mouth and chewed out his cousin. No one ever did that, and he loved every second of it. Since that moment, he's been following her around like a lost puppy dog even though she very clearly put him in the platonic wasteland. He starts to wonder if those sparks that he's feeling are real or just wishful thinking. But when she insists that he goes out on a date with a girl that asks him out, he realizes this might change everything, and it might not be the way either expected.

SEVERAL SALESPEOPLE WERE OFFENDED IN THE MAKING OF THIS BOOKFor years, sales managers have been puzzled by the excuses that their team members have fabricated in response to no sales. This is simply "jackassery" (term coined by US Small Business Administration Entrepreneur of the Year Clay Clark). It comes down to one simple action - calling your leads. Whether your team needs a pick me up, or a kick in the butt, Call Your Leads Is designed to be that healthy reminder to your sales team that those valuable sales leads are not going to call themselves. The book is designed to be a useful tool with quotes, statistics, and helpful tips that will get your sales team on the right track to closing more deals. This satirical book characterizes one of the leading problems with sales teams in the modern world. Too much automation and drip campaigns, and not enough picking up the phone and talking to a human on the other end of the line. The tips in this book come from a variety of industries that have seen success applying these tips. Whether you sell in pharmaceutical and medical sales, or even real estate and lawn mowing equipment, the success of these tips are not industry dependent.Over time, a mastery of these tips and principles will become second nature to your team and will increase your team's likelihood to close more deals. Flip to any page; and the message will be clear for your team - call your leads.

Russian for Kids Soroka 3 Teacher's Book complements a Student's Book and an Activity Book. In this book you can find all of the explanations for concepts and answers to assignments, extra activities for class and home, as well as tests to the course (at the very end of the book). You can also find it interesting how to work with a comic book, what questions to ask, and what subjects to talk about."Soroka: Russian for Kids" was created for children ages 7 through 9 who are learning Russian for the first time. This course is suitable for speakers of all languages. Each of the three levels have a Student's Book, Activity Book and Teacher's Book that complement each other. The direct method of teaching, which is based on the oral approach, makes learning more fun and comfortable as there is no need to study grammar rules specifically and then see how they work in practice. In the course, we work in a totally different way: We don't learn the names of the cases or things such as that; instead, we take ready-made phrases and learn how to apply them in speech. We immediately see the use of words and phrases and analyze them with examples later, if necessary. For students and teachers, the course provides free audio recordings where mini-dialogs spoken by Russian native speakers can be heard. Also, there are methodical recommendations on how to work with the audio files. The course is appropriate for parents who want to teach their kids the Russian language independently, as well as for organizations that conduct group classes in weekend schools, study groups, and so on.

Join me, Mr. Peabody, Mrs. Kensington's favorite boarder, confidant, and self-appointed envoy, as I attempt to unravel the duality of mystery that consumes my hostess and lady-of-the-house. Mrs. Kensington, widowed since the turn of the century, gravitates toward the kindness of strangers to remediate her loneliness as she opens her Manor house for boarding. The garden district New Orleans mansion is soon filled with travelers and displaced individuals from far and near eager to reside within the once lavish residence. As Mrs. Kensington's health and home spiral into decline. Questions arise: Who's gonna care for Mrs. Kensington when she can no longer care for herself? What happened to her husband? Was he murdered? If so, who murdered Mr. Kensington? Where was the gold fortune allegedly in his possession prior to his death? Did the fortune of gold exist at all? Does it remain housed within the safe behind the portrait that hangs on the wall just above the mantle in the grand dining hall there in the manor house on the Kensington estate? This is the basis of my investigation as I search for clues, evidence, and suspects in an attempt to solve the mystery of 'Schrodinger's Gold.'

I recently wrote a series of columns and very short stories about a variety of subjects but noticed I had a preponderance, about fifty, that concerned romance, and that they fit into one of four categories - dating, swingers, issues, and breakups. For additional insights I recruited a dozen longer tales about adventurous men and women from my broad short story collection The Bold Investor. The new love-focused volume is titled Tales of Romance and examines entertaining but stressful problems about people merely doing what nature mandates. They seek love or companionship on dating websites and meet at work or on the phone or even at the Southern border. They date or marry and they quarrel with each other or former spouses unwilling to step aside. They tire of each other and seek intimacy wherever and however they can find it. They break up and reconcile and divorce and they do so in ways reasonable and outrageous. That's how it is in romance. This is a revised edition.
