Den Bedürfnissen dieser aquatischen Organismen wird allerdingsbislang sowohl im Bereich der gewässerökologischen Feldforschung als auch in der ökotoxikologischen und genetischen Laborarbeit wenig Aufmerksamkeit geschenkt. Vor diesem Hintergrund stellen die Autoren die Gültigkeit des Tierschutzes auch für aquatische Versuchstiere in den verschiedenen Einsatzgebieten dar. Neben Aspekten der Beantragung eines Tierversuches befassen sie sich mit Fragen zur Beschaffung, Hälterung und dem Umgang mit Krebsen, Neunaugen und Fischen. Darüber hinaus werden im Sinne eines Handbuches die gebräuchlichsten Markierungsmethoden sowie die für diese Eingriffe erforderlichen Techniken Schritt für Schritt erläutert. Ziel ist es, mit demBuch ein besseres Verständnis für aquatische Organismen und ihre Bedürfnissen zu wecken und einen Standard für den schonenden Umgang mit solchen Versuchstieren zu setzen.

Phenomenology was in large part the discovery of Edmund Husserl, whose Logical Investigations of 1900/01 are normally regarded as the work that launched the phenomenological movement. Yet Husserl's phenomenology, in particular in the form in which it is set out in this his most important contribution to philosophy, is itself part of an Austrian philosophical tradi­ tion inspired by Brentano and continued, in very different ways, by Meinong, Stumpf, Twardowski, Ehrenfels, Husserl - and Marty. Like Brentano and all his heirs Marty's philosophical interests were in the philosophy of mind, where this is taken to include or at least ground the philosophy of language, and analytic metaphysics. It is Marty's discussions of topics in these two areas that provide the contributions to this volume with their subject-matter. The papers by Roderick Chisholm, S. -Y. Kuroda, Barry Smith, Peter Simons, Rosaria Egidi, Karl Schuhmann, Elmar Holenstein, Edgar Morscher, Wolf­ gang Wenning and myself were presented at the 1984 conference on Anton Marty in Fribourg, Switzerland. Die alltägliche Erfahrung jedes einzelnen Menschen ist der Ausgangspunkt von Edmund Husserls genetischer Phänomenologie. Anhand dieser Erfahrung kann das Bewusstseinsleben als solches analysiert werden. Die vorliegende Arbeit baut auf der präzisen Erforschung der Strukturen von Bewusstsein und Erkenntnis auf, die sich auf der vorapperzeptiven und vorprädikativ apperzeptiven Ebene konstituieren. Dabei zeigt sich, dass bestimmte Aktivitäten des Bewusstseins Vorstufen höherer Aktivitäten sind. Zwei dieser grundlegenden Aktivitäten analysiert die Autorin eingehend: die synthetische und die fühlend-wertende. Aus dieser Untersuchung geht ein neues Verständnis der Intentionalität und Sinngebung hervor, die einerseits eine vereinheitlichende Richtung, andererseits einen fühlend-wertenden Bezug herstellen. Dass damit auch eine Zweiseitigkeit der Bewusstseinskonstitution einher geht, ist das Ergebnis dieser hervorragenden Forschungsarbeit. In ihren Ausführungen zeigt die Autorin auch deutlich, dass die scheinbaren Brüche der phänomenologischen Methodik Husserls nur vor dem Hintergrund des Ringens um bessere Lösungen bestimmter Probleme zu verstehen sind. Viele Resultate aus dem Spätwerk Husserls lassen sich so als Modifikationen von Ansätzen erkennen, die schon in den Logischen Untersuchungen angelegt sind.Diese umfassende Studie der einzelnen Schichten der Bewusstseinsbildung erfolgt mit Hilfe der genetisch-phänomenologischen Methode. Das Gesamtwerk Husserls einschließlich der neuen Editionen und der noch unveröffentlichten Forschungsmanuskripte sowie die aktuelle Forschungslage sind in die Arbeit einbezogen. Die Gliederung verfolgt dabei konsequent den konstitutiv-genetischen Aufbau einer Bewusstseinsleistung auf einer anderen, tiefer liegenden. Viele Beispiele aus der jedem zugänglichen Erfahrung illustrieren den Text, der sich zugleich durch eine hohe Komplexität, eine tief gehende Analyse und genaue Kenntnis des Husserlschen Werkes wie auch durch gute Lesbarkeit und Verständlichkeit auszeichnet.
