I started my walk with Jesus Christ at the age of 20 and depended on Him for everything. Being dependant on God is a hard life but also a great life because you must learn how to hear His voice. God builds faith in you from struggles, that increase in intensity with age. I was in the worst trials of my life, 3 at the same time, my mother was passing away, my business was in a nosedive from the 2008 crash and my wife and I were going through a tough time in our relationship. I was sitting in my study frozen with discouragement when I heard the Lord's voice. This book is the awesome thing He revealed to me at that moment. I was slow to believe it, but God was patient and faithful to confirm it to me. A descendant of some of the Founding Father's of America. My mother's and my father's families go back to the mid-1600s. They came from England and their descendents fought in every war and at least 3 of them were signers of the declaration of Independence. My and father had generational faith in God, and depended on Him for provision and guidance. My Dad was a world War 2 vet, who was a Medic and a Liberator, who developed his faith during the war. His faith saved his life and the lives of many people. My dad also started a concrete contracting business which I started working in at the age of 15. I got married at 19 and went into business at 24. I enjoyed playing hockey for 30 years. I never thought I would write a book, but God's awesome Revelation inspired me to share it.

Scout wanted his own legacy. His grandfather Simon seemed immortal. His prodigal father Stone hoped his son wouldn't make the same mistakes, but pride clouded Scout's heart until he journeyed to Tiberias where he was met with new experiences, former friends of his father's, and one tiny wonder of a girl he saw at the port one morning. This is where his trouble began. Lydia would be waiting for their engagement to be announced, but Pella, the girl from the docks showered him with care when circumstances left them in danger. His return home brought shock and anger. He was alone and Pella remained in Tiberias. Traveling back for her brought more disappointment. God simply wasn't speaking and he thought his family's legacy would end. He couldn't understand why God was silent. He was Scout. A greater inheritance was realized one starry night, but Scout remained alone until the watchman saw a small child making her way to his village. Author, musician, and former business owner, Joni's love for history and God's Word resulted in her releasing the Selah Series. Her books represent the life of the believer throughout the seasons we find ourselves, and she hopes the reader will identify with each character. SCOUT is her fourth book of the Series. She has served as a leader in Women's Bible Study and enjoyed many years playing violin on worship teams. Author Joni Hayworth captures another compelling novel of a young man's struggle with entitlement versus humility. Protagonist Scout learns that love and fulfillment are earned, not inherent. He discovers what it means to have a personal encounter with God, not based on his ancestry, but his own need for a Savior. Scout speaks to those that have been lulled to sleep by complacency and pride - a must-read for believers in all stages of their Christian walk. The Selah Series speaks to the heart of Christianity for believers today. Linda BenedictWomen's Ministry, Harvest Church of South Florida

For Arnell Livingston, growing up in the 1980s and 90s in the slums of Los Angeles felt like a scene from a suspenseful, traumatic movie plot. Drugs, crime, and gangs surrounded him, engulfing his entire inner-city neighborhood. Coming from a single-parent household fueled by government assistance, the odds were against Arnell from the very beginning. But his story proves that dire statistics for young, black, inner-city men in America can be proven wrong, and that they can rise above the circumstances of difficult upbringings. Reflections unfolds inside chapters composed from Arnell's therapy sessions, and this highly-personal work of creative fiction is inspired by author Demetrius Ford's own experiences, challenges, and circumstances. Arnell struggles with relationships, his sexuality, and trust; however, with the loving help of his budding Christian faith, friends, and Mr. Riley, his therapist, Arnell is brave enough to reflect back on the past thirty years of trials, tribulations, and uncertainty. He chooses to rise above all, and carve out a new life, strong and beautiful. This is the inspiring story of a black man coming from humble origins, with all odds against him, who chooses to not let his sordid past define him and his future, a man who chooses to become a non-profit organization founder, and a powerful success story within his whole community.

Looking through the eyes of a colt born crippled in a herd of wild horses, children can learn valuable life lessons, while the colt learns them too. Stumble did not understand what he felt was his mother's over-protection until it saved his life during a very frightening time. Through the eyes of others, he learned to see that there was much more to him than his disability. I can never remember a time I did not love horses. My mother told me, "We really had to watch you when you were little; you would have gone with anyone who promised you a horse." One of Daddy's cousins was a rancher named Mel. Of all his cousins, Mel was my favorite, because he had cattle and horses. I married a Colorado cowboy, and we had a small horse ranch. Having those horses up close and personal only made me love them more. They are beautiful on the outside, and on the inside, they are loving, loyal, and smart. They communicate very well when one takes the time to understand. My son, Coleman Walker, and daughter, Twyla Collins, are amazing trainers and riding instructors. I dedicate this story to them.

After leaving work one Friday evening on October 7, 2011, a holiday weekend, Marvella's life was soon to be upended by a near fatal brain aneurysm that would eventually change her life forever. The narrative begins in a church, then to hospitalization, rehabilitation center and finally home. Up until returning home from rehabilitation, she had no clue about what had transpired. Life after rehabilitation was extremely challenging for her and weighed heavily on her mental, physical and social well-being. This book Not Once Did His Promises Fail was conceived due to the overwhelming encouragement from family, friends and acquaintances, who believed that Marvella had a story to share. A narrative that is deemed a miracle in everyone's eyes, medical professionals and the ordinary person. She wanted to encourage her readers that facing challenges, they were not alone. And giving them solace and hope to see that with much resiliency they can overcome adversity. The story is centered on adversity, love, trust, faith and total dependency on God through the mediums of personal prayer, communal prayer, scriptures and biblical characters. Included also is having a strong supportive base which include family, friends and a community of faith. The read also gives an insight into Marvella's losses-mobility, co-ordination, balancing, hearing, speech, memory, health coverage, therapy, employment, career and remuneration. She was also forced into retirement due to ongoing medical issues, battled Vertigo, Tinnitus, faced despair, discouragement and just hanging over the edge to plunge deep into the abyss of depression. Disappointment is real! Despair is real! Depression is real! But God through His love and mercy keep showing up in miraculous ways making the impossible possible. Today, Marvella continues to live with the long term effects, but she continues by the grace of God to trust and be dependent on Him, never asking Why? But thanking Him for His goodness and love for her. Marvella L. Murray, graduated from the City University of New York, with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Special Education (magna cum laude) 1995, concentration on the Emotionally Disturbed. In 2000, she pursued a Master of Science in Special Education, focusing on Learning Disability. After completing her studies, Marvella worked in the New York Public School System for several years, as a Resource Room/Special Education Teacher Support Provider, serving the Learning Disabled, Early Intervention and At-Risk populations and as the liaison between the school and the School District Office. However, due to a cerebral aneurysm, Marvella retired from teaching on June 14, 2013. Presently, from her home Marvella spends her time sharing Jesus through various mediums and finding creative ways to make what seems impossible, possible for herself and others. Using her sphere of influence, she has worked on several successful projects, two of which are Shoes for Men and Glasses for Jesus. This book is centered on Marvella's physical and spiritual journey that began on October 8, 2011 and continues even today. In this book you'll read about how God used her physical brokenness to lead her into a deeper and more meaningful relationship with Him, in a time of deep distress.

Since I was born again in 1999 and started reading the Word of God, I was intrigued by the multitude of revelations springing forth from every verse. For years, I congratulated myself for my intelligence, and ability to understand the Bible. My self-centeredness ended one day when I was introduced to the Book " How to Hear God's Voice" by Mark Virkler. Wow! Was the Holy Spirit talking to me? Yes! He was wooing me into a place of intimacy with God I never thought possible! What a joy, to find myself walking hand in hand with Holy Spirit and hearing His voice! This walk and two ways of communication are for all of God's children who are longing to know Him more. Embrace Him and you will start walking on the trail of joyful tears that end up right in the center of God's mercifully good Heart! Voichi Morariu was born and raised in an obscure village in Transylvania, Romania. Despite her growing up in a brainwashing communist culture, in a dictatorial system where nothing is possible, she kept believing that there is more to life than "this". In 1997, Voichi emigrated to the United States with her husband Cornel and three-year-old son Marius, following the American Dream! Not long after this life-changing experience, the couple was radically born again. The Lord started implanting in them a dream greater than they ever imagined: " God's Dream", immersing them into a reality where nothing is impossible. Voichi is a veracious reader, passionate writer, intercessor, and dedicated science high school teacher for twenty years. She loves her students with a passion superseded only by her love for Jesus and her family. Voichi and her family live in Beaverton, Oregon. She teaches in Newberg and attends Mannahouse Church.

"Am I called?" is the question we often ask at some point during our Christian journey. It is a question that most believers struggle to answer, not exactly knowing how one can tell if they've truly been called by God to serve in the ministry. Or, has anyone ever told you that you were called by God? Have you ever felt the weight of that statement as so overwhelming that you didn't know what you were supposed to do with it? As you dive into author and pastor Terry Linscott's enlightening Am I Called? How to Determine What Comes Next, you will learn how to distinguish different callings within the body of Christ, and become more equipped to confidently know your answer to this all-important, life-changing question. During his thirty years of church life and ministry, Pastor Linscott watched many people's faith become "shipwrecked," because they did not know their true calling, or were seeking a self-proclaimed calling, not ordained or graced by God. The author designed this book to illustrate the basic principles behind discovering the gifts and "call" of God internally for readers. Its purpose is to show how we all already have everything we need for life and godliness when we have knowledge of God and His Word. There is no time like the present to discover your life's true "yes," and boldly travel to your purpose and destiny! Terry Linscott is the pastor of Abundant Life Church in Radcliff, KY. For over 30 years, he's served in the ministry from the custodial all the way to the senior pastor. As the host of The Anointed Leadership Podcast and author of the Ministers in Training Course, Terry has developed a strong leadership front, influencing the lives of many. With a heart to develop and establish leaders, Terry launched the Abundant Living Ministerial Association, a network of gospel ministers who draw strength through connection and mentorship. This association provides great resources and development to advance the gospel. Terry Linscott is also the founder of the annual Anointed Leadership Conference. He has traveled into many different countries teaching on biblical leadership, helping pastors and business people excel in their God-given gifts.

This book touches on what I believe, are main points of the Bible in the development of mankind. There may be parts that you would like to explore deeper in the Bible. I included book, chapter and verse before each sentence that comes from the Bible. This will give you a place to start. As in the days of Noah, God told Noah to build an ark because God was going to destroy the earth. God will tell Jesus that he has seen and heard enough prepare for your "Second Coming." The rapture of the "First fruits of God will come." The Last days on earth will eventually happen. As in the days of Noah, the Lord will get tire of the sinfulness of mankind. The rapture of the church will come. This will be the end. When will these events come to pass, there is no way to know. That decision is in the hands of the Lord God. If you do not want to know the truth about how the world will end, do not read the last chapter. The proof is recorded in the Bible and will be revealed as it unfolds in this book. Multiple Sclerosis (MS) is an autoimmune disorder that affects the central nervous system. The immune system begins attacking the myelin sheath that surrounds nerve fibers, demyelinating them and causing nerve damage to the brain and spinal cord, and this often leaves the body fatigued and unable to perform certain functions. Though this disease is considered a rarity, those who are diagnosed with MS often suffer painful and debilitating symptoms. Renee Lewis was no exception. After being diagnosed with multiple sclerosis at the age of twenty-five, Lewis embarked on arduous journey toward relief. For seventeen years, she worked with doctors, seeking conventional treatment amidst her suffering, but it was not until her last MS exacerbation that she said to God, "I cannot live like this anymore. Show me another way," to which God said, "I cannot heal what you cannot reveal." Lewis quickly began researching alternative medicine, taking a faith-based and holistic approach to healing, and soon, she found herself on the road to overcoming her disease. In Overcoming Multiple Sclerosis, Renee Lewis gives her testimony as an overcomer to encourage others suffering through illnesses of their own. Her Christian background helped her stay grounded in her faith to believe for a miracle despite her lifelong struggle with multiple sclerosis. Above all, she emboldens readers to put their health first and to trust God, as He always knows what's best even when we feel nothing makes sense. The Foolish Brother Part II is the conclusion of Brother John's journey of teaching and counselling others the requisites for expanding their intellect into the spiritual realm; his new assignment challenged his ability to tactfully address all impieties and laxities in responsibilities that he discovered in his new monastic community. Throughout this sequel, Father john tackled all transgressions with a clear and purposeful goal of rectifying them through specific directives and teachings that inspired his counselees to expand their capacity to rise above their ego's aberrations. His consistent and unwavering expectations and teachings for all to be and do their best, proved fruitful in the restoration of their piety, monastic vows and their spiritual advancement into holiness, humility and love. Even though the setting is a religious community, the numerous teachings and assertions that Father John uses to develop his friars' consciousness and intellectual capacity are equally applicable for any enterprise seeking self-actualization and lasting success, and for the reader who is mindful to the incites of his inner consciousness urging his intellectual expansion into the infinite and unbiased Reality to grasp a taste of The Eternal Life during our transient journey on earth. Life happens to everyone, and the answers to life's questions and the solutions to its problems are often illusive. But no one is exempt from the challenges and adversity that life brings, be it sickness, death, financial struggles, or family discord. What we seem to forget is that adversity is not always an indicator that something is broken and needs to be fixed or that some wrong has been committed, so perhaps, it is our perspective that really needs to change. Garrick Cook's The Struggle IS Real! announces once more that God has not promised that this life will be free of obstacles; there are mountains and valleys on the path to fulfillment and peace, but God has provided us with the tools to traverse all terrains in His name. In his experience, Cook has found that it is better to trust God's providence and follow Him in His way, rather than to try and determine where the path leads before He's ready to show us. Unlike humanity, God always has a plan and a solution, so maybe our focus should be more on trusting His providence rather than trying to anticipate His omniscience. Try as we might, we cannot find joy through the denial of hardships and the quick fix of material possessions and destructive habits. However, God offers us the greatest joy through a covenant with Him that sustains us during this arduous journey. But one thing is for sure, the struggle IS real!

What Biblical character had a bucket list? Where does God go when He is silent? We have a need to know He is there somewhere on the slippery slope of our faith. FOR NOW, THAT IS ENOUGH tells short stories as varied as the fear of getting a shot as a child or the rewards of saving a war orphan. Sometimes hindsight reveals how something as simple as a mince pie can be at the mercy of religion. In this book you will explore: He is there, even when we feel He is silent. God is revealed in the little things. Seeing really is believing. We tend to miss the subtle messages tucked into our busy days that tell us we are right where God wants us to be. Glenda Emigh has brought to light glimpses of Our Creator in daily living. Until that time when we see Him face to face, we can take the encouragement of knowing For Now, That is Enough.
