The poems in Coelacanth cover a wide range including faith, current events, history, every day life and the beauty of the natural world. This is Todd French's third collection of poetry and third with ReadersMagnet. Previous titles include Sad Superpower and Dragon Days. As with those books, Todd writes about faith in a Post-Christian world, the resonance of history and fall of kingdoms and empires through the ages. Todd is working on a fourth collection, called Byzantine Empire, which further develops these themes.
People, in general, seem to not focus on the most important thing in life. We have a tendency to not care about life after death, even though we have been urged to seek first the kingdom of God and his Righteousness.Living Life with Blinders On is a book to awaken people about life after death and remind them that physical death is not the end of it but rather the beginning of your eternal existence. God has given us choices to make while we are alive. But after physical death, those choices are gone forever. The book is to serve as a warning of the impending JUDGEMENT that is waiting for everyone who has ever lived on this earth.. without exception!!!The book is intended to help understand why people are the way that we are because we have inherited a cursed nature, and it is totally impossible to please God with a cursed nature. It is one thing to be religious, but it is another thing to be "born again."
This is a collection of poetry written as the author's mind races between lucidity and confusion. The collection is intended to provoke thought and wonder and it is to be taken lightly by the reader as entertainment. Open this book again and again to experience the spiritual evolution of an altruistic soul. You will be moved to tears, joy, laughter, and chaos, but in the best way imaginable. Share this with your friends, because the journey is worth the price of admission.
Hello reader, welcome to this book in the Random Thoughts book series. I have published this book as a response to more good than bad comments on blogs on the website veronicasthoughts.com.On the website (2 years old), visitors repeatedly visiting to read the blogs are those who have built a community where we all learn from the information given. The inspired goal of writing has always been to help at least one person. There are many books and social media posts that are out there currently. Praise be to God! These books and posts are sincere towards the betterment of the readers' lives. And, I thank you for helping me on my journey by purchasing this book. If you find this book helps, I humbly ask you to share this information with friends and relatives. Each reader will be the one person, I am trying to help. Samuel will be the means by which all are freed or the pawn used to subject all, to the heinous purposes of those who seek to use them.Wow! Such an exciting thriller!I couldn't put it down! It's definitely an action-packed thriller, with fantastic characters and exciting plot twists. I just had to know what was going to happen next! I love that it is clean with no foul language or sexual content, but it is kinda creepy and becomes violent at times, so I'd save this for older children and adults as it'd probably be too scary for little ones. E.R. Fowles paints a vivid picture from start to finish, so it was almost like the movie was playing out in my mind as I read. It should totally be made into a movie someday!- Staci RobinsonIt's a book once you start it you can't put it down. I am also not that big into reading but I got bored at work one day and started reading the rough draft after following her blog. It is a book I recommend reading since the rough draft was so good I had to order a hard copy I am excited for this to come!- NateI loved this book! I feel like I can predict most books and know exactly what's coming - not this one! It had so many twists and turns, and always had me guessing what was coming next. There were some real mysteries that carried throughout the story and left me guessing until the end. A unique story, with characters you come to love. Four Samuel was a real adventure, and I'm hoping for a book 2!- Cydney CavenderWhile reading this book I felt transported in time and place, I felt like I was part of the adventure! The characters come to life and engulf you in their plight! My teenage daughter read it and loved it as well, it is a great book for any age!- B. Morris

No one is what they seem in this unpredictable adaptation of a classic fairy tale. Their worlds are turned upside down as everything they thought they knew about their families turn out to be only the beginning. Through their encounters with a mad king, selfish queen, and a clever fool their story shows that looking the part isn't always the same as acting the part.

Story Synopsis - The Truth and Answers concerning deliverance from any dysfunction in life such as chemical addictions or mental health disorders are found in the Word of God, which is a "Biblical World View." The only alternative is to go on an endless journey to find answers through a "Secular World View" based on secular psychology and humanism. This journey has not produced the desired results concerning deliverance from Sin and the deep need of mankind, which is all found in a relationship with God and how He created mankind, which leads to Eternal Life to include Biblical wholeness in the present.
Hubert is good friends with Madam, a very pleasant elderly lady, who moved to his world all the way from England, and brought with her a snazzy little 66 Mini Cooper S. Madam was taking Hubert for a drive one day, and the two of them found themselves at a stoplight, next to an obnoxious man driving a loud and powerful 57 Chevrolet Corvette. What would be the last thing Madam would do? Even if he were to laugh at the much smaller car? Surely she would not challenge him to a road race. But that is exactly what Madam does. She may be driving a small car but she has a big heart, and little tolerance for people who insult others and make fun of their differences. Hubert was both amazed and worried when she challenged that guy in a race to the city limits.
In coping with the death of her husband, Nick, the author Lynda M. Daniele took a writing class at her local YMCA and began writing a story for children about her husband's battle with meningioma and the neighborhood children he was babysitting for. The four children did not have a grandfather and asked him to be their grandfather. With a great big Grandpa Nick smile, he agreed. Grandpa Nick's Bump tells the story of a silly, playful Grandpa Nick and the importance of grandfatherhood.

This book deals with how we should deal with our enemies and those who hate us. It emphasizes the new testament passages of Jesus and how we should treat enemies. People when they are hurt, offended, or slighted by other people have a strong response to retaliate. God asks that we turn the other cheek. We are to love our enemies not hate them. Following God's will leads to happiness in our lives and better human relations.
The world today is greatly challenged and assaulted by various kinds of violence. The most embarrassing and, perhaps the most easily perpetrated form of violence, is the violence performed in the name of religion. Violence has been used to propagate religious causes; violence has equally been used to maintain the status quo ante; and yet violence pervades all three Abrahamic faiths. Religious violence as seen from this study is both interdenominational and intradenominational, as it is inter-religion. The author of this book argues that this phenomenon is not only depressing, it is a shame. He argues passionately that if the Abrahamic religions, which sadly record the highest cases of violence in the name of religion, can move toward achieving peace intradenominationally and then broker same peace interdenominationally, the sister religions could be at peace among themselves to the end of global terrorism."As a man always in search for answers, Dr. Kizito Osudibia aims, in this work, to inspire a way of overcoming the iniquitousness of violence in the name of religion. While acknowledging sometimes insignificant elements of violence in the many other religions of the world, the work turns to the monotheistic religions of Judaism, Christianity, and Islam-called here the Abrahamics-to lead the way since they all, look to the same root with Abraham. He recalls how each of the group holds the concept of peace ('shalom," "salam') as important. Urging that the peace, which they wish for, come from the heart, the book turns to the leaders of the Abrahamics to set the pace, which surely their adherents will follow to the betterment of the whole world" (Dr Uju Okeahialam; Colorado, USA)."I must congratulate Dr. Kizito Osudibia in this thought-provoking and innovative publication. Religion and the Global Resurgence of Violence: Connection of the Abrahamics is at well-researched chef d'oeuvre. It is scholarly, original, and above all, it is readable. Whether one agrees with Dr. Osudibia's arguments, in parts or in totality, it would require more than a mere wave of the hand to dismiss the facts, information, and arguments presented herein" (Edward Kim, PhD).
Fashion is universal and inborn. It is part of our daily lives and manifests itself in many ways; as such, we must be more aware of it, even making it more aware of its roles. Candid about Couture is essentially me thinking out loud and navigating life by using fashion and its subtleties. As an extension of our bodies but not the definition, it has far-reaching consequences and implications that are influenced by time, space, heritages, and cultures. In this book, I talk about how fashion can function like a spectacle and is meant to transcend the idea of having a singular theme; it has multiple, and they are the intersection of fashion and culture and the idea that fashion can be mobilized for good or bad: it's our choice!

The Police Inspector-General is a thrilling fictional account of daily occurrences in a typical African police institution. It paints the picture of how social ills like corruption, sycophancy, superstition, greed, intrigues, sexual immorality and more importantly tribalism and partisan politics can rip apart and plunge the police force into a state of total chaos and eventual collapse. The excessive politicization of a police organization often leads to the emergence of an unholy alliance between some top brass of the police force and the seat of political power, the State House. Dissenting voices are ruthlessly stifled or silenced. In some cases, they become the victims of State sponsored covert operations. Often, the unfortunate outcomes of such situations are instability and civil unrests which provide the military with justification for meddling in national politics. Once the military successfully gain political leadership, gross human rights abuses are perpetrated and the plundering of State resources become commonplace and in many cases, to an extent far worse than that of their political predecessors.
None of them had imagined it would affect their lives directly, but sadly each of their husbands was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease. They found themselves thrust into the role of chief caregiver, but they also discovered a close bond developing between them as they shared the difficult journey of the deteriorating health of their spouses. This story shares humor, bittersweet memories, suspense, and romance as Marvel and her friends decide to accept the challenge of this new chapter in their lives and take a vacation together. Little do they know of the adventure that awaits them. The story was inspired after watching my mom and her friends over the many years they spent together while visiting their husbands suffering from Alzheimer's in the nursing home they shared. My mom called this group of women, the Last Wives' Club. Together they provided each other support and laughter while sharing stories, going on outings, and picking up the pieces after losing long-time partners.
