Chinchilla Jack and The Walk in Closet is a children's book that introduces my pet Jack the chinchilla to you the reader. Jack was bounced around from place to place living in very small minimal accommodations when he was brought to me and into his forever home. Jack loves to play outside and explore the house and thus discovered the adventures of my walk in closet. One day after watching Jack play with all the objects in my closet I sat down and put pen to paper to bring Jacks story to the pages of a children book.

If you are looking for a book with dating tips and tools to find the love of your life, this is NOT that book. This is a story about Cindy, a middle-aged woman who woke up one morning to learn she had been living a lie. Betrayed and broken, Cindy knew she needed to start over and learn to trust again. When faced with a crisis, some head to a retreat, discover religion or train for a marathon; not Cindy. Cindy didn’t believe she would find solace on a yoga mat or in the gym. Instead she chose an unorthodox path and challenged herself to go on 50 first dates in 52 weeks.Follow Cindy’s 18-month journey as she creates a fresh start for herself and her daughters. Making new friends, finding her purpose and travelling to places that made her feel happy and whole, gave Cindy the courage to wade through the murky waters of online dating in hopes of finding her soul mate. You don’t have to be single to enjoy this book.If you’ve ever been stuck, discouraged or scared to start over, this book will inspire you, nudge you to make a change or get comfortable with the idea of being uncomfortable because after all…YOLO!CINDY Drummond had envisioned writing a novel since early teens. A successful career in recruitment was her priority in her 20’s and the role of motherhood took precedent in her 30’s. The idea of writing a book seemed fleeting until her mid 40’s, when Cindy found herself suddenly single and increasingly lonely. While wading through the murky waters of online dating, Cindy realized that she finally had a story to share in hopes of helping other women in a similar situation. Cindy resides in Calgary, Canada with one loving husband, two daughters, two stepdaughters and two kitties.Cindy works full time for an award-winning home builder and is the creator of WOW! (WOMENONLYWEEKEND) an annual event that sells out every year in the heart of the Rocky Mountains. You can connect with Cindy on Facebook at facebook.com/womenonlyweekend or visit her website cindydrummond.ca, to sign up for updates, request an interview or share with her your dating experiences. In Cindy Drummond's writing, you'll hear the intimate and honest account of how something done "to her" - by someone she thought she loved - has led her to who she is today. She is a comfortable storyteller, pointing out the simplicity and complexities that exist in everything; from pure survival - to work - to daily living - and all relationships. The book is raw and vulnerable. At times heartbreaking and at others hilariously self-deprecating. She's especially honest and poignant in her writing on love and anxiety. Ultimately, the story is about resilience and dignity among trying circumstances...with an underlying theme of hope. - Karen Keveryga
