The volume offers a collection of papers on Romance linguistics from two perspectives: multilingualism and language acquisition. Durch Übertitelungen oder Gebärdensprachverdolmetschungen auf der Bühne können kommunikative Barrieren für ein hörbeeinträchtigtes Publikum gemindert werden. Setzt man diese Translationsformen auch ästhetisch ein, werden inklusive Aufführungen möglich, die sich gleichberechtigt an ein Publikum aus Gehörlosen, Schwerhörigen und Hörenden wenden. Dies setzt die frühe Einbindung des Translationsprozesses in die Inszenierungsarbeit voraus: die sogenannte Ko-Translation. Traditionelle translationswissenschaftliche Begriffe wie Ausgangs- und Zieltext, aber auch Produktionsprozesse im Theater werden neu gedacht. Das Buch verknüpft theoretische Überlegungen zur Theatertranslation, ihre praktische Umsetzung in zwei innovativen Projekten und die Auswertung der damit verbundenen empirischen Studien.

Der Autor untersucht mittels eines kontrolltheoretischen Simulationsmodells das strategische Verhalten neu gegründeter Unternehmen (Innovatoren), die einen Branchenwettbewerb mit etablierten Unternehmen (Imitatoren) erwarten. Als Steuerungsvariablen dienen dem Innovator der Absatzpreis der Produktinnovation und die Werbeausgaben je Periode. Beide Größen fungieren als Signal für die angebotene Produktqualität und reduzieren in Verbindung mit der interpersonellen Kommunikation die Unsicherheit der potentiellen Konsumenten. Die Untersuchung berücksichtigt verschiedene Marktkonstellationen. Der Imitator kann aus Sicht der potentiellen Konsumenten bekannt oder unbekannt sein. Im Ergebnis werden für den Innovator optimale Preis- und Werbestrategien ermittelt und Handlungsempfehlungen abgeleitet.

Kommt es in Unternehmen zu grenzüberschreitenden Rechtsverstößen, stellt sich die Frage, welcher der tangierten Staaten für die Verfolgung und Sanktionierung des Verbandes zuständig ist und ob eine mehrfache Ahndung durch verschiedene Rechtsordnungen droht. Die hieraus folgende Problematik positiver Kompetenzkonflikte sowie etwaiger Mehrfachsanktionen erfährt durch die Unterschiede der nationalen Haftungssysteme gegenüber juristischen Personen besondere Brisanz.Das Werk untersucht die Entstehung, Vermeidung und Beilegung von Jurisdiktionskonflikten im Kontext transnationaler Verbandsverantwortlichkeit in der EU. Anhand aufzuzeigender Defizite der bestehenden Rechtslage werden praktikable Lösungen zur Gewährleistung einer unionsweit koordinierten sowie rechtsstaatlichen Unternehmenssanktionierung erarbeitet.

Obwohl Werbetexte ein beliebter Gegenstand textlinguistischer Studien sind, wurden sie bisher weniger unter semantisch-stilistischem Aspekt untersucht. Anhand stilistischer Analysen von Werbetexten mit Mehrdeutigkeit auf phonologischer, lexikalischer, syntaktischer und textueller Ebene untersucht die Autorin, in welchen sprachlichen und nicht-sprachlichen Elementen (Bild, Typographie) sich die Mehrdeutigkeit in Werbetexten manifestiert, wie sie als aktuelles Phänomen im Text entsteht und welche stilistischen Funktionen sie darin erfüllt. Das Buch leistet mit der Unterscheidung zwischen der Mehrdeutigkeit im Lexikon und im Text einen Beitrag zur Theorie der Mehrdeutigkeit und zur Stilistik der Werbekommunikation.
