Nicholas Holt was an early New England settler arriving in 1635 on the ship James during the Great Migration. He was first in Newbury but later in Andover where he raised a large family with his three wives. This new compilation provides a comprehensive consideration of the descendants of Nicholas Holt through six generations. Both male and female lines of descent are covered providing additional detail and incorporating many Abbotts, Farnums, Johnsons, Grays, Chandlers, Ingalls, Ballards, Russells, and many more names. More than 1,000 complete families are covered. Name index, references, and footnotes are included.
Robert Russell and his wife Mary Marshall resided in Andover where they raised a family of ten children. This is one of the first attempts at a comprehensive compilation of the descendants of Robert Russell and Mary Marshall. This volume follows the descendants of Robert and Mary Russell to the sixth generation and includes both male and female lines of descent. As female lines are followed, many members of the Holt, Farnum, Abbott, Ingalls, Osgood, Goodell, and Johnson families are covered in this volume with coverage of 983 complete families.
