My Poems My Paintings is an anthology of poems of various genres in English written way back in 1971. He uses poetry as an apt mode of creative self-expression in the area of literary arts. Apart from their lyrical value, these verses on diverse subjects and themes carry the author's philosophic outlook that persistently puts his highly individualized experiences in the universal context, making him a modern-day rishi (seer) of far-reaching consequence. His life's oeuvre in poetry has four thousand poems, and in painting, nearly three thousand creations. Distinguished by the enormity of quantum, originality, sustained high quality, and amazing versatility, all his creations are couched in what he calls holistic humanism. He insists that we humans must wean consciousness from money-mindedness to moneyed-mindedness to become our pathfinders to the realm of life's spiritual realities. It carries substantial and diverse material that will benefit the modern-day youth in getting rid of many illusions that cloud wits and prevent them from seeing God's most precious gift (soul) lodged inside the eye-catching wrappings (body) that mislead us into blind alleys of maverick ambition. It is not unlikely that it will inspire some to discover their own native creativity and conscientiously develop it to full potential.

  • - A Study in Discourses of Desire
    av Vishnu Patil
    142,-

Alchemy of Desire, Revolt & Violence mainly deals with the significant themes in the plays of Mahesh Elkunchwar with a fine amalgam of oriental and occidental views on issues like sexuality and violence on a broader level. It is referring to the concurrent themes in contemporary writing analyses many correlated issues in the light of post-structuralist theories, especially that of Slovej ¿i¿ek. This book offers an authentic commentary on concept of desire in Indian and western context by referring to the texts like Kamasutra, Naradasmruti, Charvakdarshan, etc., from India and history of sexuality, sexual politics, etc. from western tradition. It mainly discusses idea (i.e. loss of object of desire and fantasy) analysis and its implications in relation with the issues like incest, prostitution, love, and sadism. Revolt is analyzed in the light of contemporary feminist movements and writing traditions like Dalit literature. Violence is analyzed in the light of Zizekian studies dividing it into the categories like objective violence, subjective violence, and symbolic violence. The present critical text takes into consideration the peculiarities of Indian tradition and culture on both the levels of history and discursive practices. Unveiling of hidden ideological structures and systems with their entirety of functions has been one of the major concerns of the book. At the same time, it does not fail to highlight greatness of Mahesh Elkunchwar for his fine craftsmanship and excellent treatment to the subject matter in his plays.

The Story of a Seed is written to gift children an inner knowing that they are okay being just who they are. They will feel worthy to receive and grow at their own pace. This confidence will lead them to their highest destiny. Mana, Soul Coach In a simple manner, The Story of a Seed imparts the ageless wisdom of Earth. It begins with connecting the seed, the Soul, to Mother Earth and Father Sky, grounding it, and bringing energy and light into its' Being. In this way, the growing seed and the growing child, is protected from forces of negativity. The Story of a Seed is a brilliant work which leads each child to understand their inherent value as part of a greater ecosystem. As outer Nature and inner Nature balance within, we all can grow up healthy, abundant, and wise. The Story of a Seed inspires and motivates each soul to reach its Destiny, just by being itself! The Story of the Seed though thought to be for children is actually for all of us. It is short, simple but ever so profound. As I read the book I thought if only children were taught to imbibe this message from the beginning, how different our universe would look. It is never too late to awaken the inner child, one of limitless possibilities and infinite compassion. -Anjhula Mya Singh Bais International Psychologist, PhD, Super-Model, Actress and Nichiren Buddhist
