You'd think they'd hand out maps or life strategy plans, wouldn't you? No one I ever knew had a map or even a guidebook for life. No three-point outlines. No "Sit down here and let me tell you how this works" kind of advice either. So how was I to know? I just jumped right in, like I did with everything else in my life. Didn't question how or why...just did it! That had always been my way of doin' things from the start. "Just do it." Even before the Nike commercials.Did ya ever wonder why our federal or state court systems don't make you take a marriage test or a kid-raisin' test? Seems to me like that's way more important to the welfare and safety of our society than drivin' a Lexus or a Dodge Ram TufTruck. You have to go the courthouse in any state in America to get a marriage license, but anyone can have a baby and keep it to raise without any kind of previous experience or license. Like I said, no how-to manual. So how does anybody know how to keep a marriage going for a lifetime or raise one, two, three, or more little helpless babies into grown adults fit to govern, heal, lead, and protect our society?Well, I didn't have a manual. No license. No mentor. I just jumped right in with my heart and soul and did the best I could bein' young as I was and all. I was hardly grown myself. Certainly in no way wise to the world or rich enough to get education past high school. At seventeen, I graduated from a little country school with thirty-one kids like me who thought they knew more than they actually did. A few years later, we learned that we really didn't know much at all.Fresh and new at life and ready to jump right in and start livin' it on my own, I was ready!

Her fingers were like snakes. The tips of each finger darted here and there across the surface of the bright glass ball as if on their own accord. Josh watched her fingers move in strange fascination. He thought he would begin to see a pattern if he watched long enough, but one didn't seem to form. He still watched it transfixed, however.Occasionally, a finger would strike out on the other side of the ball before it got dragged back to where she was sitting."Interesting. Very interesting," she whispered to herself.

Thirst takes place in an alternate reality version of the Southwest circa 1880, and it tells the tale of a Leonin marshal, a vampire priest, a wily native shaman, and a reformed prostitute and how they overcame adversity to change the world forever. The Raven clan medicine man leads each protagonist through a crisis of faith: the lawman having lost his faith in the Code, the priest his faith in God, and the saloon girl her faith in humanity. Sand pirates and Skinwalkers, mob bosses and the Red Catholic Clergy, papal assassins to Godworms, the Great Spirit and the Blood God Blot--all weave an intricate plot tapestry that builds to a crescendo and a twisted conclusion. Fans of DandD will roll with advantage!

This book is based on the experiences I lived through and acquired knowledge to survive the changes that transpire--first how we had respect for those who enforced law and order and now are treated like dirt. It expresses how our young men and women form gangs to make their lives more dangerous without concern for themselves and how our government lies to us to get away with its corrupting way of running our country's affairs.

My name is Sharol Mason. My autobiography will walk you through my life from infancy to retirement. Due to COVID-19 and retiring simultaneously, time was on my side. I will give updates on COVID-19 as it affected our and many others' lives during the three years writing my book. My life starts out with a bang--in fact an explosion--as a baby! On my fourteenth birthday, an announcement came over the loudspeaker at school: "Sharol Curfman, please come to the principal's office immediately." I was thinking it's a birthday gift or something of that order. To my surprise, all my brothers and sisters were there too. The tragedy of that day--being told we all had to go say our goodbyes to Daddy at the hospital--changed our lives forever. Losing track of each other and tearing us apart was just the beginning of a new life. My siblings had filled in some of the gaps in my book that I didn't realize were missing until they shared their stories with me. I will share two more brushes with death along with a life filled with faith, hope, and love. I have also included stories from our family's past that have been in the public eye. I am hoping my family and friends enjoy taking one step back and one step forward, as I truly believe life is a dance, specifically the cha-cha.

Lindale, Lint, and Leather is Randall McCord's third published work. Beginning in 2015, he and former player Tommy Moon wrote 739 pages about The Cotton Picking Centre Warriors, which was a hundred-year history of their high school football team located in Cherokee County, Alabama. Six years later, he authored a semibiographical book about a journey from Roy Hill's cotton fields to US Navy duty on the island of Oahu set in Hawaii's last year as a territory and first as the fiftieth state. Both have been well received by casual readers and historians. The eighty-three-year-old has experienced a varied career as a farm boy, athlete, Navy petty officer, college student, and later high school teacher and coach. Yet for the past four decades, he has owned and operated a forest products company with wife, Joyce Anne, in Rome, Georgia, near their home on Rockmart Road in Silver Creek.

This is the biblical explanation of creation and the inclusion of evolution. All things were made by and for God. This book explains the different geologic periods, animals, dinosaurs, and fossil records. This book should leave the reader with the undeniable knowledge that all was created by God and that all other theories are just educated guesses. For professing themselves wise men, they became fools.

  • av Gary Rothlein

Me and the Mental is a memoir about the certain traumatic experiences that author Gary Rothlein had dealt with during the times in which there was no escape. In the writings of his book, there are details about how the experiences of the author had happened, insights, such as criticisms and personal evaluation, and how those experiences shaped his present. In certainty, there are different setting layouts from where these situations had taken place. Geographically, they occur in the states of California and Colorado. His writings are very descriptive and try to send out a message. It is that conflict can happen and only personal strength can move one forward. Personal behavior, decision-making, and family/social interactions are factors that do provide structure to the book. It was these components that brought the writer to create the memoir Me and the Mental.
